I use Every Man Jack deodorant and it's normally good for me. It's aluminum free and doesn't irritate my skin. Plus it comes in a lot of nice woodsy scents.

But when I get the anxiety sweats my arm pits smell like cat piss so I'll opt for any old aluminum based antiperspirant.

I used to use those too, but I switched from one scent to another once and even that made me break out in a rash and now they all do. Shame cause I really liked their scents, and they didn't have the tacky packaging old spice does either. Now I'm just using a Dove deodorant, it works pretty fine and has a mild scent.

On the other hand the billionaire who gave it all away and now lives in a literal hut is much worthy of praise but I bet you don't even know who they are.

Look I'm all for criticizing billionaires and all the other elites, but why do I care if he's doing good deeds for a selfish reason so long as he's still doing good deeds? I'm sure there are actual reasons he deserves criticism, I just can't see "yeah, Bill Gates does charitable stuff, but he only does it so people will say he does charitable stuff" as a valid criticism because at the end of the day regardless of his selfish desires he still did the charitable acts.

I think it's way worse in the east.

There's exemptions sure, that's why I said 90%. But Jason Derulo? He was "discovered" by record execs in his teens and his first released music was a Pitbull feature when he was 17 years old. Dude is 100% an attempt at creating a different version of Justin Bieber (to be fair, he did get a lot of American popularity and got HUGE in europe).

I feel bad for her a little bit, but I also would turn her down if she came up to me filming like that. One, even if she really does just want to do some good my first thought is going to be about someone filming me without asking and then using it for internet points. Two, and this 100% on me, my self-consciousness would be going crazy. I'd be sitting there thinking "do I look like I'm impoverished? Am I poor?"

Like 90% of pop musicians. Have you ever wondered how an 18 year old kid with no previously released music gets a debut single on top 40 radio? It's because they knew someone. Nothing wrong with that, we should encourage people to network and use support systems to move ahead in life, just be honest and open about it. Like the nepo baby trend going on right now. No one actually hates people that benefitted from nepotism, they hate when people benefit from nepotism and lie about being self made.

Nah, I don't buy that, not completely at least. Yes, a company as big as them should be able to do more, but the graphics and animations for Pokemon games has always lagged behind industry standard. The only difference now that the gameplay is no longer as good as it once was, and now people care because both graphics and gameplay is bad.

Honestly, Arceus is a really good example I think. The graphics are bad but the gameplay isn't and as a casual fan you generally hear people talk about how that game is a step in he right direction, whereas ScarVio are memed to death as being ugly because the gameplay doesn't standout as good enough to overcome it.

Leaked pics show Bud Light exec who wants to update companys fratty culture enjoying fratty party

A Bud Light executive who claimed the beer company needs to update its fratty and out-of-touch image appeared to enjoy the Greek Life at Harvard while partying at an alleged haven of inebriated ditzes.

Budweisers vice president of marketing Alissa Heinerscheid could be seen in images on her now-deleted Facebook page enjoying a campus scavenger hunt, blowing up condoms like balloons, and downing beers during a 2006 boozefest.

The Daily Caller obtained photos of the Bud Light exec.

Heinerscheid and her college pals can be seen in an album titled Isis Senior Reverse Initiation Scavenger Hunt, where the co-eds held a talk about the exploration of the scrotum professors.

The photos appeared to have been taken during an event hosted by Harvards ISIS Club, a group founded to create a safe social space for women to socialize on campus.

The club, however, was slammed by the Harvard Crimson student newspaper in 2005 as a haven of inebriated ditzes who took part in boozefests.

Many on social media called out Heinerscheid as a hypocrite for appearing to take part in the same fratty culture she claimed the beer company needed to do away with.

This is too funny. Do as I say, not as I do, one Twitter user wrote.

Looks awfully fratty,' another user remarked of the college pictures.

In response to a photo where Heinerscheid drinks Rolling Rock, one person quipped, Even she doesnt drink bud.

Anheuser-Busch, Bud Lights parent company, did not immediately respond to The Posts request for comment...

So she went to a party 17 years ago wow

Problem is, the land would have to be re-zoned as a residential property.

That's why you see A LOT of empty stripmalls all over the country. Rezoning is expensive, and tends to get a lot of pushback from homeowners in the area.

It's part of the reason yes, but a bigger reason you see so many empty strip malls is because they're not in ideal areas for retail anymore. Around the 1980s, America began developing it's retail core around malls and other big-box stores that drew in customers, but with malls dying off and Amazon allowing customers the option of not having to travel to make purchases, those city cores are dying out.

Rezoning empty strip malls isn't super hard, especially if you're in a growing city that understands the need for redevelopment of older lagging properties, but rezoning to residential can be difficult if the plans are for apartments specifically. People tend to not mind new homes, but they turn into NIMBYs the second an apartment complex is mentioned. The way to get around that is to create an intentional mixed-use development with a good mix of commercial and residential properties, which is ideal for the massive amount of land a mall takes up.

The big hurdle with a mixed-use development though is that if the city isn't growing, investors aren't going to give capital to a developer to build there.

Tex-Mex is actual cuisine.

Seriously, people acting like a cuisine with a couple hundred years of history isn't authentic to a region are absolutely ignorant to Mexican food. Not only that, but Mexican food as it known today was literally born out of the clashing of European and indiginous cultures. Tex-mex cuisine also came from a culture clash of Mexican and American settlers and evolved into its own thing, that's about as authentic as it gets for Mexican food.

Consider the history and culture of the food before you claim whether or not it's "authentic." There's really a certain irony in people proclaiming al pastor, which came from Lebanese immigrants to Mexico, as authentic while telling everyone that tex-mex isn't real Mexican food despite by and large being developed by Mexican people living in Texas.

That... kinda sounds like a good thing tbh

It's a very good thing. Not only do you get rid of a mall with generally weak tenants, but you also get rid of their parking lots which can take up more acres than the actually building. This in turn allows developers to build more dense housing.in my city, developers are actually given clearance to build taller and thus more dense if they set aside a certain percentage of apartments to be rented below MFI, so it introduces more workforce housing to the area (they only need like 80% MFI, so it's never truly capital A affordable). In addition, because mall lots are so huge, it's really likely the mall is redeveloped into a mixed-use development, with more proven retail (likely in stand alone buildings or a retail strip), some restaurant space, and small office buildings for commercial tenants.

Then, what was a failing mall with low foot traffic becomes a popular live/work/play neighborhood in town, and since it's a mall it already has an ideal location (lots of city's in the 80a/90s/2000s built up heavily around malls due to heavy customer traffic to those areas, so malls are generally in the more developed, retail friendly areas cities).

So could birthday parties. Or weddings. Bar mitzvahs. Anything, really. People want to celebrate a life moment, why are we shaming that? Because 1 out of every 100,000 people goes to far with it like pretty much anything else?

bigblu89 posted...
Yes. There's no payoff to anyone attending other than the parents.

And it's something that a phone call would also reveal. No need to have a 2nd party where you expect more gifts. Have you baby shower then call it a day till the kid is born.

Ive never even seen gifts at a gender reveal party, but that's besides the point. The payoff is for the parents, quote obviously, but it's also for their family and friends to celebrate a.major.life moment. The gender is often the first thing you learn about a person you're going to raise for the rest of your life, it's a pretty big deal. Even before parties, it was a big deal to learn the gender, and shaming people for wanting to celebrate that and share it with their loved ones is bizarre.

...there's no payoff? The payoff is learning the gender. Obviously you don't care about that, but I can assure you the parents and their family do and get their "payoff" out of finding out. Who actually says edgy stuff like this anymore?
