Why is this an article?

I do feel a little bad for her. Sure it's all on camera and stuff and clout etc, but she wanted to make someone happy and show her good intentions by being vulnerable, and it was met with weirdness and rejection. It's always a shitty feeling when someone makes you feel wrong for trying to do right. Hopefully she gets that it's not a reflection on her, but that takes time to understand sometimes.

That was my thought. She may have gone to a grocery store that's in a more affluent area.

Im from the US. She is from UK. The store she said went to was Sainsbury's. No idea of the demographics of it. Like if that is the UK Target or it a store for rich people.

I feel bad for her a little bit, but I also would turn her down if she came up to me filming like that. One, even if she really does just want to do some good my first thought is going to be about someone filming me without asking and then using it for internet points. Two, and this 100% on me, my self-consciousness would be going crazy. I'd be sitting there thinking "do I look like I'm impoverished? Am I poor?"

Maybe try not filming during your "random act of kindness"

I get she's just trying to do good but it's weird when you're filming it. And if people say "no thanks" leave it at that. Don't keep trying to pay or explain.

The other week I went to my town laundry place to do some laundry. Turns out I went on "local church pays for laundry for poor people" night. I walked in and the place was crowded. I was putting my clothes in the wash and someone came up and tried to put quarters in the machine. I said I appreciate the help but use the money for someone who needs it. Then a minute later someone else came up and tried to do the same thing. That person was way pushy and after I explained I didn't need it they put their hand up to put money in the machine and I had to push it away. Now I'm left feeling bad. I gave them 20 bucks to put towards their cause. (Notice I didn't make a video)

I get people want to do good, but don't force it on people who don't want it. And don't be pushy about it insisting you know better. And don't fucking cry because someone didn't want your help. If you really want to do good donate the money to a food bank where it goes to people who can't afford food. Or donate your time at a soup kitchen or something.

Here's my analysis: I think people are thinking about those videos where an "influencer" gives a homeless person food and records them, and posts it on the Internet for clout. They just want to buy groceries and not go viral on the Internet with comments like "Good for you, helping out the poor!"
