been working as a union electrician for near 20 years. Havent maxed every year BUT I get 19% employee contribution on my gross.

my investments over the last 5 years have cumulatively gained 50%.

so theyve been doing great outside of 2022-2024.

I also have an annuity thats almost at 100k outside of my 401k.

Ive got 600k in my 401k and im not 40.

anyway, this has been a argument for a long time now. The amount of baseball and camps parents are willing to put their kids through for a microcosm chance they can even make a D1 program is absurd.

there is zero reason a 12 year old needs to be throwing splitters, curves and sliders while pushing their arm against its limits.

also, as mentioned, baseball is now an all year sport. Spring, fall, summer, travel, indoor. It doesnt end. Its a job for these kids.

I decided to check my 401K/pension for the first time in nearly a year last week.

Was nice to see it actually gained for once after the pandemic years lol.

mine has been steadily gaining even during and through the pandemic, I think I hit 10% last year and prior years was around 15%.

Evermore is in my top 10 snes list. Such a gem.

They have to pay these expensive athletes for their time to make commercials.

Current economic issues make it a horrible
idea to have kids, my wife and I do well enough and its still a drain on our finances with 2 kids.

i completely understand why younger generations arent pumping out any kids. Its a huge investment and money sink for no return.

I was looking forward to a 1:1 remake with next gen graphics and was extremely satisfied and happy we got what we got.

as others have stated, the remake gave us far more context and depth with the cast.

when its all said and done; with the 3 releases, no ones going to give a fuck that it was 3 separate titles.

What was wrong with it? I remember back in 2016 or 2017, I took my 2002 Firebird into Firestone to fix the AC and they told me the AC compressor was leaking and needed to be replaced, and it was $919 to fix. Said I'll fix it myself and walked out since I was broke. I know almost nothing about cars. But I watched a video on youtube and got with a friend who had the tools, and we fixed it together although it took like 8 or 9 hours.

AC can entail a bunch of things that could be replaced. Big thing is radiator and compressor. Dropping and replacing the rad is a fair bit of work depending on the make and model of the vehicle.

3k seems high Id say the average on an easy replace is around $1800-2000

A truck that heavy at 147k miles is where abouts youd start to get into possibly having to fix major things.

if its absolutely clean, 4k seems fair.

Same people from 4-5 years ago complaining about FF7 and its development cycle.

JFC get over it, $200 over 8 years is absolutely nothing, if its that big of a deal wait for the inevitable trilogy release for $100 or whatever.

while everyone else has enjoyed the series.

and solution is very simple. Cover the decal during drop off, or remove it and get a fucking car magnet or something that can be slapped back on after drop off. Alas, thats too difficult.

but I do love the part where shes saying the school has made drop off too dangerous for her kids and the SCHOOL should accommodate her kids by getting them to school safely.

I walk 2 hours a day most days and also will do an intense 15-20 minute workout where I can hardly walk and sweating bullets afterwards for a bit and I cant drop weight to save my life
