I am shocked at this result and I think Cloud is weaker than ever even in 1vs 1 situations, but I am very confident FFVII is still the second strongest game easily, FFVII would not be getting owned like this by OoT if we ran that match today.

There has been some surprises like the Trainers but the contest as a whole is easily the worst I have seen, even worse than the Villains contest. This was a terrible contest idea from Allen and the bracket making was even worse, he really did a poor job.

What a silly argument this is..

This is gamefaqs. Our strongest games are OoT and FFVII and MM won our Game of the Decade. CT is one of our most popular games. This is a very heavy games-oriented site, obviously. VG characters will always be more popular than non-VG ones around here.

the strongest non-VG characters would not come close to our NNers. Sure Batman is massively popular in america...but this is freaking GameFAQS not america. People here care more about their GAMES than comic books and movies. Unless you are interested in seeing non-VG fodder vs VG fodder ..

The key for Cloud/Sephiroth is the US. They need to do better than this http://www.gamefaqs.com/poll/index.html?poll=3856&region=US

If they can keep Link/Ganon under 53% or so then the rest of the world may push them to victory but if they get crushed 57-42 in the US then they are toast. Lets hope they win some fans with the rivalry factor.

We should have gotten Cloud/Seph vs Mario/Bowser

I really want to see a Cloud/Mario match in any format. I guess Allen made the bracket with the assumption that Cloud/Seph will defeat Link/Ganon and go on to have a Cloud/Mario final for a change instead of the usual Link/Cloud , he is not aware of the LAW it seems.
