Hes kind of immature until stuff happens on the train though. Hes still one of the real ones though.

It's worth noting that Valis 1 on TG16 is actually a remake of the original PC88 game, and was released after Valis 4, which is why it is so polished. Valis 2 on TG16 was released first which explains why it is so crude compared to the rest of the games.

The TG16 versions are generally considered to be the best, although some others are worth checking out if you like the rest of the series.

Avoid the PC88 and MSX versions of Valis, they aged horribly due to their maze like levels, floaty controls, and a strange upgrade system which uses your health as money.
The NES version of Valis 1 changed it into an action RPG with lots of backtracking and infinitely spawning enemies.
The Genesis version of Valis 1 is a separate remake altogether and your character moves much slower.
The Genesis version of Valis 2 changed it into some sort of chibi demake alongside floaty controls.
The MSX2 version of Valis 2 is far darker in story and has an interesting upgrade system where the character collect various costumes.
The Genesis version of Valis 3 is a dumbed down conversion of the TG16 version, with some changed boss fights and levels.
The SNES version of Valis 4 is even more dumbed down, as it removed the two other characters and pretty much all of the stages were revamped.

Yeah, sounds like most of the games, outside of the PC Engine ones, are bad.

Sometimes you have to go through some ineffective meds before you find the right fit. There are good days and bad days. Just like without meds, really. You find ways to make it better as you grow and get used to it.

The first game so far. Only ever played 4 on the snes and didnt enjoy it.

1 so far is pretty interesting. Very simple, but well made at the same time. Enemy placement is nice, and you can take out enemies efficiently if you know your weapon well. Bosses are pattern based, and are fun to maneuver around. Graphics and music are amazing for the time, and makes me sad that the PC Engine wasnt popular in the US, because it was by far the best console of that generation.

Story is confusing. Im not a native Japanese speaker, but I do love there, and even i cant understand most of this, oitside of the opening cutscene. Must be some fantasy stuff i havent seen irl. Still, the cutscenes are cool for the time.

Yeah, Ive been living in japan for years. In 2018, it was close to even. Now i lose half of my money if i exchange. And the government knows about this, yet doesnt do anything to fix it.

Then again, Japanese government is pretty much just kick the can any time anything bad happens. Or they bow really hard and say they will never do it again but just change their company organization and do it again,

Ok, they were never the best. Most self-owned sandwhich shops were better. However, the veggies were fresh (i worked there when j was 19, the veggies are fresh, meat is frozen). They had some good bread, and good variety of toppings.

The 5-dollar footlong was amazing and you could get some good stuff with it.

The fact that a combo is like 3 times as much as it was, is sad. For what it was, Subway was pretty decent and was often the cheaper choice.

Clive is a pretty good guy. He legit cares about everyone and never complains even when having to do the most boring side quests in any jrpg.

Oh yeah, Elden Ring is a good one. You can go anywhere, very light weapon upgrade system. I loved exploring in that game.

FF7R is kind of ok, but it is locked out by story moments. Id say it doesnt have as many interesting secrets or areas as Elden Ring. It does look great and has a lot of stuff in it though, all of which adds to the lore of FF7

We're kinda heading there. Fashion-wise I'd say we're dipping are toes back in. Musically we're getting a lot sampling and styling from 90s music. I'm happy we're finally getting lyrics back in music and not just repeat the same chorus 3 times in a row.

That would have been a great finale.

There were good episodes after, but you can really notice that the stories were getting too wacky and cartoonish after that. Characters became one- note, Pam became very mean suddenly, Kevin became a raging idiot. Only Michael and Angela really developed at all.

Not to mention, Andys character assassination, the idiotic character of Robert California, all of Season 8, and really unbeleivable episodes like the dumb Pie bus episode, and the boom- mike guy. The forced tension with Jim and Cathy, and the dumb Pam and Jim drama about work.
