I also just finished up goblin slayer. Very solid last two episodes. White magic OP. Might as well just cast protection horizontally inside the enemies and split em all in half next time.

Honestly a bit concerned with the fact that it's continuing in a season 2. Where can they go from here? They've killed all the way up the goblin food chain. I feel like it would have been a strong ending if they just stopped it now. Oh well, hopefully they manage to make it good.

Not sure what I'll watch next. I still have some of vampire yuribait and like 9 episodes of bunny girl. I just have a feeling I'm not going to like bunny girl going forward. The resolution to the first arc annoyed me a lot.

Aside from these two goblin slayer eps all I've been doing lately is playing the new smash since I got it and a switch for xmas (well, i got the money to buy it and then bought it myself but close enough). Heavily considering getting xenoblade chronicles 2 as well. I liked the first one and X a whole lot so it stands to reason I'll like this one too but man does that main character look annoying. I think I'm gonna do it anyway though.

I hope that last part makes it fun what's the name of the show I might try an episode if it's on crunchy

Tonari no Kyuuketsuki-san
It's nothing special and it's more really strong yuribait than much yuri. Still a decent relaxing show with cute girls doing vampire things. Not particularly into vampires but its yuri so eh.

Survived easily my worst christmas. Aside from running on almost no sleep (4 hours, woke up at 2am) and dealing with a ton of stressed rude relatives, I got a flat tire in the middle of nowhere, couldn't find the spare cause it was hidden under two layers of carpet, 1 layer of wood, and the center console, and finally managed to get triple A out there after a few hours waiting in the cold. Had to stick to 50 on the ride back which made it take forever and people tailgated me the whole way at around midnight.

Now I'm home though so time to relax with yuri vampire anime and beer and try to forget I exist for a few hours. At least I managed to avoid the illness most of my family had, for now anyway.

Finished up uzamaid. Still pretty wild to me the series can exist. Was fairly funny although it got repetitive in the middle section. Kind of feels morally wrong to like the show though.

I think the loli yuri vampires one finished too so I have a few episodes of that left. Haven't seen slime yet. Probably gonna save this stuff to watch after xmas stuff ends since it's a bit of rough time and I'll want something nice to escape to after its over.

I'm pretty pleasantly surprised by all the yuri this season and next. Assuming the manaria friends PV isn't hugely misleading we've got that and Watashi ni Tenshi ga Maiorita! which seems yuru yuri ish. That's 5 shows minimum with light to heavy over these two seasons (bloom into you, uzamaid, the vampire one being the shows from this season).

It also feels like we have firmly left the old yuri style behind (aka, tragic ending 100% of the time). Praise I guess sakura trick/yuru yuri from freeing of us that awful trend.

Next season actually has a ton of stuff to be excited about. Mob psycho 2, kakegurui 2, fucking boogiepop but for real instead of being the most confusing anime of all time, promised neverland that you guys have been backburner hyping me up on for like a year, an anime original mecha series (that actually looks like it'll probably suck, but maybe not). Saw some people mentioning rise of the shield hero is a good isekai light novel so maybe that'll be good too. That's on top of those 2 yuri anime. I'm sure at least some of it will disappoint and hopefully there will be a sleeper hit or two but I've got a lot to look forward to trying out at least.

I'm getting anything I possibly can get on PC, on PC. Although I assume I'll have to wait for kaldaien to fix it since apparently that man can do in one week what the entire staff that ports these things to PC can't in one year. Seriously, they release yet another broken tales game on PC, I'm...well not gonna do anything really. But I'll be mad about it.

Is it all just comedy bits about homeboy being a slime? The concept sounds very slice of life and like the joke would get old quickly. It's why I hated Umaru, every joke was "lol she's a secret quasi-NEET, watch her abuse her brother." Galko, Asobi Asobase, and Kobayashi have been my favorite recent SoLs.

It's not really a slice of life. It's closer to overlord or something. Our main guy isn't just any slime, he is a slime with hilariously OP abilities mainly relating to his ability to consume things and analyze them. If it has an ability, he gains the ability. He can also copy the item if he has the materials and take its form. It's pretty lighthearted but there is a plot and it moves at a decent pace.

Using a sentence with only lower case letters like "in a moment I will go to the store" would take WAY WAY longer to crack than some gibberish like "9xUutY!?Jd". No idea why websites are so focused on making passwords requirements that are hard to remember but easy crack. The biggest vulnerability to passwords is in password recovery anyway.

Watched this saturday's anime. Goblin slayer in set up/character building mode. Nothing special but it was a fine episode.

SAO though... That escalated quickly. That scene was almost comical and then suddenly badass. Seeing Eugeo explode his own eye with sheer determination and then slice that dudes arm off has gotta be the most hardcore thing I've seen in a while. I figured he'd kill the guy but the eye explosion made it a pretty gripping scene. Granted they just healed it with magic like 2 minutes later but still. The whole episode feels like when you get a bad end in a hentai game.

Everything looks really colorfully done and good backgrounds but combat is fun though?

I know you talked a lot about certain things being Opie but what about the basics of the combat?

Yeah combat is a lot of fun. The OP stuff only comes in after you grind out the super OP gear which requires near 100% completing the game. It's quite fast paced but still requires smarts. Mashing will not work. Most enemies have some kind of mechanic that allows you to break them which makes them take extra damage so a lot of combat is focused around breaking the enemies. The way you do that is different for each enemy and its a lot of fun. It's surprising how diverse the fighting actually is. Boss fights are also pretty great and usually have some kind of special mechanic that may or may not require bouncing shots off walls to hit weakspots in the back or stuff or like that.

Aside from those small issues at the end game I really only have good things to say about crosscode. Each aspect of the game is amazingly well designed and it all fits together so well.

EDIT: a small overview is that you can shoot projectiles, shoot a charged projectile that bounces off walls 3 times, do a melee combo, block, and dash. Using the art button during those actions will use the corresponding art (so pressing the art button during a dash will use the dash art, doing it in neutral or while melee attacking will use the melee art, doing it while guarding is guard art, doing it while aiming uses the throw art). Throughout the game you unlock all 4 elements (fire, ice, wave and shock) and you can switch to their mode. Each mode has its own skill tree. Using attacks during that mode increases your elemental build up and when it maxes out you overload and get put out of elemental mode while it cooldown.

Ideally you switch back to no element before it overloads and switch back strategically. At end game with all 4 elements you can be switching mid combo a ton. Each element has its own versions of arts and arts can be charged up to level 3 so you have access to like 50 arts technically. Ice mode has access to bastion making your guard cover all directions, wave form has the most hp and regen, fire...just has fire, fire is strong though, and lightning has lots of dashing abilities. Each element has its own ailment that its arts apply (fire has burn, ice slows, lightning stuns which is deals small damage and knocks the enemy out of their actions every few seconds, and wave "marks" making the enemy take double ranged damage.

The game is fun but theres a lot of room to push the player further and really make things go crazy. I'm really hoping the arena and post game stuff do this.

EDIT 2: I forgot if you time your guard at the last second you perfect guard taking 0 damage and breaking and downing enemies during certain attacks. It's a lot of fun to do but the timing is pretty tight.

But the way you make it sound like I should wait till they finish the arena and side quests? Is that like coming out in the future patch?

They are planning to release free updates for a while. The next one will have the arena and "a promise is a promise 5" which likely opens the observatory which could easily be an entire dungeon. Dungeons in cross code are LONG btw. They usually take me almost 2 hours. Anyway that update will be "soon" but I don't theres any reason to wait. I initially played it during early access and was able to jump back in on my previous save after about a year with no problems so going back for the arena or other post game stuff won't be a problem.

They also intend to make a "post game episode" which will have some epilogue style story content. No idea how much content that will be but it's supposed to include a raid with your guild IIRC. The current ending adds in one tiny cliffhanger that could easily be the hook for the post game chapter which could end up being a whole lot. We also come across ascension temple which is inaccessible and supposed to be the end of the MMOs story. Humorously there are NPCs outside the entrance complaining about it taking so long. The various NPCs are pretty great btw, really shows self awareness. I especially liked the table sitter NPC.

I was kinda underselling it my previous post. The game is fantastic and has literally the best puzzles in rpgs IMO. Each dungeon keeps adding a new puzzle mechanic and mixing in old ones and it just feels so satisfying.

I think they kinda shot themselves in the foot with the gear and combat though. If they really want challenging post game content they NEED to nerf burn application and waves level 3 arts. You can win all duels by just using the level 3 wave guard art. It will one hit the enemy, fully heal you, and restore all your SP so you can use it again. Really that one move breaks a lot of enemies.

It's a move where you set yourself to like 2% hp but become invincible and block all damage for 4ish seconds. Afterwards you cause a huge AoE explosion that deals damage based on how much you blocked and heals you based on how much damage the explosion did. Since you are critical it stacks with berserker which increases your damage massively when at low hp and all hits are blocked meaning you get avengers sp bonus restore from it which will likely refill your entire SP bar. It's pretty broken. Hilarious to use on the shokats (once I recovered 40k hp from the blast, I only had 4.5k max hp). Any enemy with fast or strong hits has no answer to this move and any enemy without those is easy because you can outregen it. Even IF they unleashed way harder enemies, it really wouldn't matter with this strategy.

Currently its only really useable with end game equipment that you might have for all of 2-3 hours at the end of the game at which point you earned your right to be OP but it would carry into post game. Burn can also be applied fast and is basically poison from other games that ticks really quickly and deals %map hp damage. Both of those things would need to be either directly nerfed or all enemies would need counters to them. Dang I rambled on a lot. I'm honestly really missing this game now that its over. No idea what to play or watch next.

Watched the newest slime episode. Nothing much happened, just preparation.

I also just finished crosscode (a game) which was pretty great. I'm a bit frustrated that version 1.02 apparently means several things are unfinished (arena under construction, can't finish a side quest line, a few other minor things) but the game as a whole is pretty great. The level design especially stands out with lots of great puzzles on pretty much every single screen. It's sorta like those few good moments in assassin's creed where you have to try and figure out how the hell to get up to some high up spot when theres nothing too nearby to climb.

The combat is also quite fun and fast paced but not overly simple. Really the combat almost functions like some kind of speed puzzle cause generally you defeat enemies by breaking them which involves hitting them at certain spots during certain moments.

The RPG elements are also strong with several viable build options although a tanky+regen build is pretty OP later on (the last boss couldn't out damage my healing, it was like that one scene from SAO where kirito outregens the group of people attacking him), but the build gets dumb when you add burn rush and status rush and sp regen to it so you don't even need a decent attack stat, just burn everything to death by spamming the level 3 fire dash art.

Good game, would recommend. The puzzles and platforming are both quite challenging but not too crazy. You won't really get stuck, you will just constantly feel like you just barely made it.

Watched goblin slayer and SAO. Goblin slayer was a decent episode I guess. There was one emotional scene that just completely fell flat for me but other than that it was ok.

SAO was just in a set up phase. Nothing really happened and I don't really care about the result of whats being set up either. I can't help but feel like this entire school arc is a waste of time and a strange turn for kirito's character to even be a part of in the first place. I feel like he'd be better served grinding xp or something to up his object control and then looking for the most powerful weapon he can find and storming the castle. You know, what he did in every other arc of the series.

It's yet another nice reference to Accel World, and given the amount of time he needed to learn it, it's being fair to its origins.

It took kirito like one day to start using it effectively to not only beat the strongest swordsman but also perform magic that brings plants back to life. It was a dumb thing in accel world too. If you are going to use a power system I want it to be a defined power systems so I can correctly gauge peoples strength and try to figure out their actions. Imagination power sets everyones strength == ??? so anyone can do anything at any moment "plausibly":. A random 4 year old on the street could walk up and kick kirito's ass as long he really believes he can.

It's not like they are imagining something complex where intellect or creativity even come into the eqaution. It's literally just imagining "I'm gonna hit him so hard he won't be able to withstand it". Ignore reality in order to succeed. Considering the entire rest of the show is crafting a reality just to be ignored, I don't like that.

I feel like black clover actually got a fair bit right. Stuff people usually dont really bring up. The power scale and ceiling is effectively established and adhered to, some enemies just hard counter the main character and only utilizing teamwork can they succeed, powers interact interestingly.

The main, asta, is handled a bit interestingly in terms of ability. He has a super generic power canceling ability but its only melee in a world of ranged attacks. He actually has higher physical abilities than pretty much anyone in the show BUT thats pretty useless in many scenarios.

The show keeps a very steady pace and goes about exploring the side characters pretty quickly. Some of the side characters just kinda suck though. The writer seems to be fond of giving each of the main characters a super OP power and then counterbalancing it with a pretty big weakness.

The fact that even starting out the main characters have some attributes that are higher than their opponents while still being the underdogs stood out to me and it was nice to have a lot of the fights be about finding a way to cover for your weaknesses. I really liked how the big fight around episode 50 played out. It was definitely an above average shonen fight.

Of course, it's still a shonen. People have no subtlety and must exclaim their emotions constantly. The villains motivation is paper thin, or rather, doesn't match the methods. The two main enemy factions established so far have motivation for taking action, but not for taking the actions they take, and they end up just coming across as cartoonishly evil instead of interesting. Real wasted potential. The main villain reminds me a lot of Yggdrasil from tales of symphonia, but that game handled that type of character much better IMO.

Banter is repetitive and some peoples behaviors don't really stay changed after characters briefly develop. Especially annoying with the main girl who keeps making progress only to seemingly forget that any of it ever happened. Other side characters turn over a new leaf TOO fast and go from snobish dickheads to super caring people in an instant.

The power system is also a little underutilized. With how strong each of type of magic is, it becomes very apparent that combining 2-3 peoples powers is just actually unstoppable but they rarely do this.

Asta's character initially seems like a clone of naruto with better coping skills but thats actually the problem. He already coped with his problems before the show even starts. He doesn't really have anywhere to grow. He can shrug off insults, always works hard, cares about his companions, and generally doesn't act out. His only flaw is that he is dumb but thats not really something you overcome. Compare that to naruto who also struggles to cope with being an outcast but does act out and becomes standoffish. He has a lot more room to grow and improve over the course of the series.

I guess just because of how hard it got shit on, I was pleasantly surprised. Good chance I never watch anymore of it though. I feel like its about on par with naruto which I put above bleach and way above fairy tail but below one piece and way below hunter x hunter.

I remember hearing once that crispen freeman (i think it was him) actually has a lot of distinct voices he can do and had some in a youtube video or something but that directors just always wanted him to use the one he is famous for so I really think its more a matter of wanting to cast the famous voice than a lack of range from the VAs.

If you don't like the start of fairy tail you should 100% drop it. It's extremely frustratingly repetitive. The formula is tolerable and even enjoyable at first but it gets so god damn frustrating that natsu powers up to be a god every arc only to get shit stomped by low tier fodder the next arc over and over and over and over and over again.

Black clover is similar and better than fairy tail IMO although it has quite a lot of problems as well. No idea why the black clover anime has such a disparity in scores and reception compared to fairy tail. Really feel fairy tail should have a 5-6 average rating on MAL.

I've been playing Story of Seasons: Trio of Towns, and I'm now at the point where I can start dating one of the bachelorettes, but I just can't pick!

https://imgur.com/deqo0ur

From left to right we have:

Lisette - The traditional girl next door flower shop owner. She can be a bit naive and childish with her love of fairy-tale romances, but still possesses a heart of gold and is just filled with sweetness and, as other in-game characters have mentioned, "an aura that makes you want to protect her"

Iluka - The younger twin. As a priestess she has the power to read the auras and emotions of others. She can be spacey and is always sleepy, but she can also be surprisingly snarky when she wants to. She works as the chef in the sister's cafe.

Siluka - The older twin. The typical tsundere, she has a bit of a mean streak, but she can sometimes show a bit of sweetness underneath her spice. She has the power to read nature and predict the weather. She's in charge of drinks at the sister's cafe.

Komari - The typical genki girl tomboy. She works as a waitress at her family's tea shop and is always ready to greet her customers with an energetic smile! She often laments that she didn't take the time to learn to be more "girly" and has always harbored a secret desire to be treated like a princess.

Kasumi - The quiet and cool school teacher, and also the typical sheltered ojou-hime character. Growing up in a strict traditionalist household has left her with a large distrust and discomfort around men. It'll take a lot of effort to get through her icy shell, but you may just discover a lively and passionate heart underneath.

I'm leaning towards Kasumi, Lisette, and Iluka, but I'm having a hard time choosing. Which do you guys pick?

From those descriptions I would only consider the two you aren't leaning towards but even those two have issues that would put me off.

Did they actually kill him? Will he be ressurected or something?

From what I gathered on the MAL episode discussion, he isn't dead and will just be out of commission for a while. Presumably the arc will have to be resolved without him.

I'm still hoping for a yuri harem. Kobayashi was the closest I think we've gotten. More Kobayashi would be nice too.

Same man. Thats the dream.

I don't want to oversell the tonari no kyuuketsuki though. It's really pretty average.

Started watching tonari no kyuuketsuki and I like it quite a bit. It's just the yuribait moe trash I can enjoy. There really isn't anything special here but its a formula I never get tired of even if it has a vampire twist this time.

If you didn't bother to look it up its a cute girls doing cute things but two of the girls are vampires and theres lots of yuri undertones. Hell maybe it's yuri overtones at this point. It's kind of like a much worse dragon maid.

Surprised by how far things progressed off screen in SAO but they got me excited for the upcoming fight. Decent episode I suppose.

This episode of goblin slayer had the most annoying fight yet. Why doesn't the archer ever shoot anything important? They introduce her with ridiculous loop de loop perfect accuracy shots and she wastes time and arrows dealing with pointless fodder goblins instead of the bigger threat. It's also the second time goblin slayer has gone in with no fucking plan besides "I'm gonna swing at it" and gotten destroyed for it. He is shown to be a smart guy, act smart dammit. Then, instead of anyone being useful they just kinda watch GS do his thing and then for no reason he maims the thing he is fighting instead of killing it. What was event he point of strangling it? For that matter just fucking stab it to death with one of 50 weapons lying around.

The complete lack of logic in all of these fights make them hard for me to enjoy. I don't need godlike tactics but it feels like they are actively trying to fight stupid. Also why would they not take antidotes if they expect poison? Why would they not suspect ambushes in general? They just act so carefree and stupid. The shot at the end with the eye view was painfully long and pointless. Could have had the same effect in 10 seconds instead of a full minute.

Really feels like the show expects shock factor alone to keep people from paying attention to any of the finer details.

Defense is kinda OP in valkyria so theres a reason there is a turn limit but I just don't enjoy that. It's not very hard to work around. At least not as far as I got. However 4 also does this really fucking annoying thing where each scene is a different section in the book which completely shatters the pacing every few minutes. It's not a bad game really but just not for me I guess.

I've got it. Got bored pretty early on but that was the same with the first game as well. I hate that there is a turn limit and unlimited enemies. The two things I despise in strategy games.

Watched both SAO and goblin slayer. SAO was decent exposition but nothing really happened this episode. It's nice to hear about how the first arc of SAO actually worked out behind the scenes (aka where the guy running it was and how it wasn't shut down earlier even if it makes no sense). It seems like the budget for whats happening and the plan overall from the "villain?" is a bit nonsense. Like, it'd never go down that way.

Goblin slayer was good. I feel the pacing was a bit poor in episodes 2-4 but the last 2 have done well with it IMO. I feel a little cheated though. In the first episode it seemed like goblins posed some level of threat to goblin slayer that he would need tactics. In this episode he is just gliding through them like they are nothing. I also continue to feel like the excuses for the army not intervening are increasingly bullshit. This is a major city security issue and safety issue that could very well cause the collapse of a major city and supposedly worked its way through all the city adventurers but nah, not high enough tier enemies, army/guard won't do shit.

Also confused as to why the sword maiden being some supreme demon king slaying hero doesn't just go slaughter the goblins herself but who knows, maybe her blindness? only happened after the fight and now she is powerless? Idk.

I assume they'll put what they skipped right after this quest is over. No idea why they decided to change the order from the manga though. They skipped a whole quest btw. Guessing the end of the quest they skipped will be the end of the show. Hopefully they do a second season, but they're going to have to wait a while, since I'm on chapter 23 of 29 and I'm not done with the current quest they started in the anime this ep.

Isn't this based of the light novels and not the manga (although IIRC they are quite similar)? Perhaps there is more there?

Keyblader the grand puppet master deceiving all the children. Haha.

Just watched this weeks goblin slayer and IMO it's just what the series needed actually. The episode was all down time but it expanded on the world and characters that were only briefly introduced earlier. Seeing how things exist outside of goblin slayer's all goblins all the time life makes it all feel a bit better. Of course, my previous world building concerns have only amplified but I find I don't mind as much now. I liken this to one punch man where they start expanding on the other heroes and the system and stuff.

The fact that the guild is actually hurting for new adventurers AND that there is a promotion exam make it completely ridiculous that there is no entrance exam or provisional period for new adventurers but thats clearly something I'll just be forced to overlook cause they've dug themselves too deep on that plot hole.

SAO episode is out as well and I'll watch that next. I wish slime came out on saturdays too so I could watch it all in one go. Just one or two eps at a time feels like way too little anime. It's always over in a flash.

Edit: Watched the SAO episode. I almost forgot there was a story going on outside the game world. I guess it's necessary. Definitely somewhat interested but I mostly just want to get back into the game.

Sony has forced retroactive censorship on an already released game.

There is nothing acceptable about any of this.

Damn man. This is just getting weird at this point.

Well sony is revolting. Hopefully they go out of business. Really hoping this is the last console generation and it all just switches to PC/mobile after (even though I don't like mobile games either).

Lol at sony only accepting appeals in english though.

only Goblin Slayer knows it

BUT WHY? They all live in that planet, some for thousands of years. How much money in taxes must the lords be losing due to dead villagers that were killed by goblins? How is the guild in business when there is no assurance anyone will do your quest but you still have to pay just to post it? The party was expecting to go up against demon lord generals, you'd think they would be able to handle something like this. Only goblin slayer expected to only fight goblins and inexplicably only he was prepared to fight something stronger than goblins.

I find it hard to believe that any adventures in this world are like the one high elf archer was going on about. It only feels that way to us in games cause there is no stakes. These people go against monsters that can one hit kill you or worse as a job. The lack of preparation both physical and mental by everyone thats not GS makes me wonder how any of the other adventurers are even alive.

Realistically there would be town militias hunting down goblins and other minor threats and some sort of lords army hunting down major threats or else you'd quickly end up in economic collapse and probably suffer a food shortage as well (since food is grown in towns/villages and imported to cities). A guild might pop up to offer more immediate response to mid tier threats but you can bet there would be training and minimum standards as well as most likely some sort of mentorship set up where they wouldn't just let parties of all amateurs go out unprepared.

Theres even inconsistencies. Many raped women go to the church to live out their days. Many beginning adventurers like the priest come from churches. How did they never meet any of those traumatized women? Why would the church not warn them of the dangers they may face? Why wouldn't the magic academy have a course on monsters? Why would someone that wants to be some heroic warrior not read the accounts of actual heroic warriors? It's like everyone but goblin slayer is a 5 year child playing make believe in the back yard.

Yeah, plenty of the main heros have pretty garbage powers. I'd enjoy it if they took the world more seriously.

Watched the new eps of goblin slayer and SAO. Both were pretty good although everyones complete lack of obvious knowledge in goblin slayer gets continuously more and more annoying. What did the elf, dwarf, and lizardman expect to accomplish if they don't know how to fight an ogre? I know that an ogre has high magic and regeneration and I don't even live in their world. Elf archer has lived for 2k years and is a ranger, how is there any monster she isn't an expert on? If they had all that backup that came after the fact, why didn't they take all of them into the damn dungeon? Why a lot of things?

Whatever, action was cool, seeing them fight something more powerful was cool, fight logic was poor (ogre blocked dozens of stones and the archers arrows with his hand without moving it for like 5 seconds, they didn't even try to interrupt the first cast, ogre didn't try to interrupt dwarf or lizardman casts, priest used one more spell than she was supposed to have (maybe she leveled up or something), dwarf didn't cast silence on the ogre, etc). I STILL have no idea where this series is going and it's been 4 episodes.

SAO on the other hand had much better fights even if it bugged me that kirito's arm inexplicably healed mid fight (the blood it was drenched in disappeared too, no explanation). Maybe that was just an animator goof or something. The fight logic there is also somewhat curious though. Why aren't they just spamming sword skills? I could see some possible justifications but I'd like it if they actually bothered to give some. It's like your in a boss fight in an MMO and your main dps is just autoattacking and not using skills. Maybe theres a dangerous backswing opening you leave? Maybe they have very low mp and he had to wait for it regen? Maybe you can only activate them after landing enough hits/taking enough damage? Why didn't kirito keep all the goblin weapons? They could have at least sold them for some cash.

My biggest problem with mineta is that he's just gross. He's like a disgusting baby with grapes for hair. He's also a little bitch in combat almost constantly, his power is borderline worthless, and his only gag gets old by like the 3rd time he does it. His existence lowers immersion in the shows world by being absurd. I can't think of anyone else like that in the past that I've loved to hate.

I feel like HeroAca is one of the better series to take live action. It's pretty heavily based on western super heroes and we have a ton of those movies already. Still will probably end up as an abomination like the others but oh well. Just pretend it doesn't exist like all the rest.

Nichibros (daily lives of highschool boys) is fantastic. One of the best comedy anime out there and its comedy style is different from most other comedy anime.

I've played a pretty ludicrous amount of adult games (somewhere in the high hundreds if not over a thousand) but only a few of the translated japanese rpg maker games. Actually playing through meritocracy off and on right now. I didn't finish it but yukiiro quest was also pretty good. Escape rugomu fort was also good, almost forgot about it.

The western ones worth some attention are noxian nights (you play as riven from league of legends, its a finished game). Adventures of tara is fairly short and decent. Not sure if its done yet. Bandit assault is also decent and finished. Theres two that are of much higher quality but not finished yet. The last sovereign which has about 10-20 hours of content and daughters of essence which has about 8-10 hours. The last sovereign will probably go on forever but it has a good story. It's sort of a huge pain in the ass to play though cause its very easy to screw yourself over by not making the right investments or doing things in the wrong order and it all kinda spirals down on you over time. It would make a better anime than game IMO but the story is legit great. Daughters of essence is much easier to play and also has a good story but its got a lot longer to go.

I feel like I'm forgetting a few but a lot of the rpg maker games get abandoned pretty early in.

Wow, that episode of goblin slayer flew by. If I didn't know otherwise, I'd think this was a short form anime. Seriously how was that anywhere near 20 minutes? Whelp, time for SAO. Hopefully it remains good.

Crunchyroll and Funimation got a divorce, thanks to Sony (... again; they are going above and beyond as of late). Going to have to see how much damage that does to the Crunchyroll catalogue.

Yeah they really seem to be bent on taking worst company title from EA lately. Granted, this has no direct effect on me since I don't got the money to pay for anime anyway. A lot of comments I saw were along the lines of "good, fuck crunchyroll". Guess they been getting a lot of hate lately.

Anyone know when the next season of overlord will come out? Next year maybe?

Did a very light amount of digging and theres no real good news. Nothing has been announced but apparently it will be quite tricky to actually adapt the next few books and the anime is releasing much faster than the source which we are almost caught up to.

There could be a pretty big delay between season 3 ending and a season 4 coming out. If season 4 isn't 2 cour then apparently it will end on an annoying cliffhanger or be really really rushed. On top of that, it's madhouse adapting it not known for putting out sequels. Theres a very real possibility there never will be a season 4. Best case is probably them making a 1 cour season 4 that ends on a cliffhanger releasing sometime in the middle of next year (probably summer, maaaaybe spring).

The books in general have been coming out with large delays (the last volume was 6 months late). So far each season has adapted 3 volumes so season 4 should be volumes 10-12 if it continues this way. The last volume release (this april) was volume 13. The story is supposed to end around volume 20 so roughly 4 more seasons. The good news is, if they actually make a season 4, theres a pretty good chance they will just adapt it to the end.
