Maybe its just me, but it kind of sounds like he is implying he is leaving GameFAQs. I don't recall seeing him post today at all.

Bumping for more visibility. Having a viable CE alternative website that is ready to go if Fandom closes or severely limits social boards is really key to minimizing the splintering of the community.

In Suzerain you play as the President of a troubled country. For about 15 years the country was run by Colonel Soll. He was eventually forced out of power but he still holds sway in the country and technically still has powers (he has a special permanent seat in the legislature where he can vote, but he almost never shows up to it).

In one scene you are attending a movie premiere. After its done, you go to the bathroom. Colonel Soll then just casually walks in, makes some comments implying that the country is being poorly run, and then leaves.

Fuuka Friday is so strong that not even Monday can stop it.

It sucks to think this site could end up closing permanently, I've spent a lot of time on CE.

GameFAQs probably won't close in the near future, but it becoming a zombie Fandom site is very likely.

My guess is that all social boards will eventually be closed, probably around the time of the 2024 US election.

I don't see them closing video game boards soon but they might eventually just say screw it and close all boards and leave GameFAQs a carcass with the lowest maintenance possible in hopes of getting ad revenue for people using the site for old game guides (since no one will be making new guides since they completely killed the community)

Fandom seems like they will be killing off social boards soon.

They banned all "political" posting on the site, expect for CE which is now a locked off board.

They also said they are cracking down on "hornyposting" (with no explanation of what that means) which infers they are going to moderate stuff more.

I still have access and post sometimes, its a really slow board since it has had no new users for almost 20 years.

I heard they will add a Hitler social link in 2.

The US could easily destroy the Iranian military.

It would be virtually impossible for the US to take over Iran, let alone cause a regime change though.

If the US went to war with Iran the "smart" move would be to severely cripple the infrastructure of Iranian military and then just leave since they no longer pose any sort of threat to other countries.

Persona loves using public domain stuff (for example, a lot of the persona in 5 are public domain book characters like Zoro). If Kermit was in the public domain there is a chance he might actually show up in a game.

The city doesn't have a good stereotypical visual image. When you think of Chicago and New York you think of their great skylines. When you think of Los Angeles you think of smog and large city sprawl instead of skyscrapers so it makes the city look flat. Of course Los Angeles has skyscrapers, but people don't think of that.

yeah man unlike those days of yore where the first 10 games being multi platform. Come on man. Final fantasy has never been multi platform outside of a small number of titles. It just feels that way now because decades on most of the earlier games have now been made multi platform but that wasnt the case at release date. Hell a lot of the games didnt even come out worldwide back then.

Most of the popular exclusive Final Fantasy games were on the SNES, PS1, and PS2. These were all by far the most popular platforms at the time. They also were the platforms were almost all JRPG style games were on so the fan base likely had those consoles.

The PS5's user base is smaller than the Switch and PC and those 2 have a lot of JRPG fans on them.

Even with that though, its not enough and you have some people twisting this as a proof that its selling worse than final fantasy 16 in japan......major roadblock in that being no one is stopping to think that maybe in the time period between FF16's release and now that more japanese final fantasy fans have simply opted to buy a digital version since all famitsu does is count disc sales, lol.

FF16 was released not even a year ago. I highly doubt the physical vs digital landscape has changed that quick to make up for the difference of 310,596 copies in over a month compared to 336,027 copies in a week.

To our knowledge nothing has even been hit yet. Saying this will cause some huge escalation is very premature. This whole thing may be a face saving operation by Iran that doesn't actually target anything significant. We will have to wait and see.

Depends what the attack is. Huge difference between attacking some abandoned military base in the Israeli occupied Golan Heights and a civilian building in Israel for example.
