It makes very much sense. The circumstances weren't just right up until now, at which point it snowballed as the population grew at an accelerated rate.

We live in extremely unstable times and it could pass in the blink of an eye.

@likehelly You only multiply the numerator.

numerator
denominator

Say 1 can be shown as 1/1. Multiply that by two.

the way you're doing it, 2 * 1/1 would equal 2/2. 2/2 is 1. 1 times 2 does not equal 1.

1/1 * 2 = 2/1

1/25 * 2 = 2/25

1/2 * 2 = 2/2 (two halves make one)

Yes but 1/10 and 2/20 are the same.

They aren't.

For all sets of number draws, i.e., pick 3s, 4s, 5s,etc., there are a finite number of resulting number combinations.

If that end result is that I have an 1 in 1 million chance of selecting the correct combination, if I select a 2nd string of numbers, I've doubled my chances of selecting the winning string of numbers.

My profession is a software engineer, my math teacher called me a human calculator and excluded me from having to show my work. When discussing RNG I flat out sat and argued with my teachers for 30 minutes until they both agreed about the mistake they made on their class work.

1/10 = 2/20 = 10% = 0.1

1/10 does not equal 1/20, 0.1 does not equal 0.05

No, that's wrong. Having two tickets exactly doubles your chances of winning unless you get the same number twice or the tickets came from two different lotteries.

If 1 line has a 1/10 chance of winning and 2 lines are 2/10, that is double the chance of winning, since 2 is 1 doubled.

Yes but 1/10 and 2/20 are the same.

Get off online dating. The real way a guy gets a date in this society is by literally doing random things and going to random places.

Most couples don't meet intentionally. They just happen to find each other while going about normal life. The m:f ratio on dating sites is something like 5:1. The more random stuff you do exposes you to more people.

That doesn't mean you shouldn't be a supervillain. I'd prefer you became a supervillain.

I spent most of my day floating in and out of awareness as my job requires the mental capacity of a seal with a sound board filled with costumer service cliche phrases.

I made forced conversation with coworkers about their boring lives and cats and such. When someone makes a joke about something looking like a butt it's actually the funniest thing ever because of how unfunny it is. I try to ignore the busy bodies who have nothing going on for them except their expertise slicing cooked meats and want to pretend they are sages of wisdom and know better than I do at all times.

I go home and buy McDonald's on the way. I spill my fries on the floor of my car, and in a rage induced moment I grab a handful of the fries and stuff them in my face, trying to abide by the five second rule. I go to a second McDonald's and ask for fries and a mcflurry. They give me a sausage patty instead.

I get home and eat my food, then I get drunk and go to sleep at 6 am.

I wake up today and I was supposed to do something with my sister for my birthday. She forgot, so instead I'm doing nothing for my birthday and I'm probably going to go clean the fries out of my car.

Democrats know what Americans want, they pretend to fight for it, but they just want money more.

Republicans have a vision and they fight for something, but it's terrible.

Democrats are so weak they lose to the biggest joke of all time, a TV reality star with a red lightsaber. They deny the most popular candidates in favor of a candidate that previously broke fundraising records, and lost anyway.

That government shutdown was so spineless, they just "gave up". They're so bad at their jobs it's almost as if they're doing it on purpose. It's a weak, spineless party that stands for nothing.
