I've seen some people stack their DVDs/Blu-rays on top of each other (with the cases laying horizontal instead of vertical like books on a shelf)

My question: doesn't this hurt the discs at the bottom of the stack? And how much weight does it take to flatten the case and therefore possible hurt the disc inside?

What about steelbook cases-are they safer?

Come on. I know a lot of red-blooded men do this but my question is...WHY is there such a stigma against it? Why do men have to have this dark judgemental rain cloud telling them they can't show their adoration towards women in this way? I personally think it's flattering (or maybe empowering?) for women knowing that men will basically lower themselves just to get a whiff of their scent. Come on ladies, we worship you! XD

TL:DR Men should not get made fun of for what comes naturally and if anything I think this is empowering women as it is a gesture in which a man lowers himself just to experience a woman's scent and to be honest, I think this is one of those gestures where a lot of men do this but there are either too ashamed or unable to admit it. Don't be ashamed for your love of women and loving everything about them! Even their smell! And ladies just know that when guys do this they are not being creepy they are simply showing their adoration.

I have a problem. A big one.

About 30 minutes after I got my bath tonight I went to watch my Suicide Squad Blu-ray disc, when I took it out of the case I noticed there was moisture on the disc just from handling it. My hands were not visible wet but obviously my hands must've retained some level of moisture.

I tried drying off the disc as fast as I could but I'm worried the damage may be done. I'm worried moisture may have seeped into the disc. I couldn't tell if it had or not, but it still has me worried.

Please, I'm worried I've caused irreparable damage to my Suicide Squad Blu-ray disc. Please help. Please.

OP, typically I go to bed around 11 every night, so I'm well-rested and energized for work the next day.

Last night, I got into bed at 11 as usual, but when I closed my eyes, I just couldn't fall asleep. My mind was racing. The Xbox One X is not only the most powerful console ever created, but it is also the smallest console on the market.

I tossed and turned in bed. I could not get comfortable. How could I expect to just drift off to sleep knowing that this November, just 1 month from now, gamers will get to experience true raw power, right from their living rooms?

I called up my girlfriend, who goes to bed at 8pm (as women are wont to do). "Hey babe," I said. I could hear her shifting from her sleep. "I can't sleep. I keep thinking of how powerful Microsoft's latest console, the Xbox One X is. Never before has a home console been a 6 teraflop powerhouse before and contained 12GB of RAM."

"Babe," she said, "it's 11pm. I need my 16 hours of sleep so I can face a full day tomorrow of being indecisive about what I want to eat for every meal. Why are you so concerned with such raw power so late at night?"

I howled with disgust. "Woman, listen to me," I screamed into the phone. "It is not every day that such a powerful console comes out. There has never been a console with such speed, yet such elegance, and there never will be again, at least until Microsoft makes the next Xbox. If you cannot understand this situation then perhaps we should see other people."

With that, I hung up on my ex-girlfriend and chucked my iPhone across the room. It smashed against the wall and landed into a pile of my other broken iPhones. Now I am exhausted at work and the Xbox One X is still the most powerful and smallest console on the market.

What does any of that have to do with the discussion at hand?

I have a friend who is an artist and has drawn a lot of fan art of licensed characters (many from Disney owned properties-Star Wars, Marvel, etc.) He doesn't make money from his art, he just does it as a hobby. But I recently found out that even if fan art is non-profit, it can still be in violation of copyright law.

I really don't want to have to say goodbye to my friend if he is going to prison for drawing copyrighted characters. He thought that if it was nonprofit he'd be okay, so did I. Now that isn't the case apparently. The rules changed!

It's only a problem if you try to make money. There are some loopholes though, like with Patreon you can indirectly be paid for your fan works.

Patreon is cracking down on that and nsfw art.

He's probably in the right because they're using his likeness, which he owns the copyright to.

There was a popular artist on Deviantart who drew "realistic Pokemon" that were extremely detailed. Looked like real life animals. Then he compiled them in a book and sold it on Amazon.

He is now facing a 500,000 fine and up to 15 years in a maximum security prison.

The lesson? Don't mess with Nintendo!
