I like this area theme, it's a bit odd at points and isn't one of the greatest songs, but it fits the area well. It makes the area a bit less bleak than it appears, and fits with all the machinery, and it's still a fun tune.

This song is pretty well built. Starts off just as background noise, beat box kicks in, and then a piano melody kicks in. It's especially cool when it shifts the melody once the primary melody starts to get dull, and closes off really well to head into the loop. It's a really good atmospheric song, and the area it played in couldn't be more perfectly fitting.

Now, where Dating Start failed in some points of how I viewed it... having never played a Phoenix Wright game so the sequence's references weren't found by me... Dating Fight succeeded. It gives a feel of MMBN and keeps it in a battle tune, it connects a few different tunes as well in a pretty excellent way. Hell, it was meeting all of my standards.

Does plenty of cool things, and is an especially good counter song on this fight from the normal theme of the fight. From the creepiness of Your Best Nightmare to the heroics of Finale... it's a great contrast that tells you what's going on in the fight. But it's also... kind of off at spots.

The final introduction song of this list, it plays before such an excellent scene, makes you think "okay, just one boss fight away from the end of the game, I hope I can spare him." As the text is saying the same and you're getting ready for this fight. It's just a nice tune for Asgore too.

I'm coming up with a different concept for some of this. Should I keep up polls? Or should I have nominations go into what will become my next OST (after next topic, for now whatever wins the poll in my Undertale ranking topic will become my next OST).

Second, I think I'll open this from being just beaten/played a decent bit, but turn it into a *wish* to play as well. If a game is unfinished and is on a Nintendo system or my Steam/Origin... suggest to me that I should beat it. If I've never played it... the nominations are now open for those soundtracks... Yes, everything on my Steam Wishlist is open for nominations as well. Don't buy me the game unless you really feel like tossing away your money like that. Granted I'll probably play it instantly if my computer allows it.

The reason I'm doing this second option, is because of Shonen's nom in A Hat in Time. Watching even just the first level got me really interested in the game and I'll probably get it during a later sale. It however made me feel like either I watch someone who doesn't know enough about the game and doesn't have exactly what I want out of a sense of exploration, or they know too much and are just beating everything and collecting everything easily. So... I feel like I'll do redo scenarios where I'll do an OST after I beat a game if I did the OST before I played it, sort of thing.

If you're looking at an OST from another system, maybe just shoot it out anyway. There's a chance I've watched an LP or may very well watch one for this. Like how I'll go find something for Tangy's nom soon.

Amalgam is a really cool tune, it has its really odd points but it's fitting since it's the battle music for fighting experiments of fusing monsters together. I don't often compliment this, but I really like the ending to this song too, while given most scenarios outside of this game I'd dislike this sort of tune, here it really solidifies just how... unusual these fights are.

Dark song, some tension... it fits well for when you're seeing Undyne in full armor. Entertainingly... it gives me a Metroid feel, which is kind of like Undyne giving a Samus feel being gender ambiguous until she's fully out of the armor and it's actually revealed. Her theme isn't exactly *spooky* but it definitely sets the new tone after Snowdin.

Sorry, couldn't help myself there. One strength the Undertale has overall, is just how many instruments are mixed in with everything. Here we have the first instance on an electric guitar (I think, prove me wrong if you must) for an intro to the final time we fight Mettaton, and seeing his true form. I can't hear this song without that thing I posted first though. That's not a problem.

A slow piece with not much music to it, but a calming and powerful piece at the same time. The first moment you hear it in the soundtrack you know it's Sans judging you for everything you've done during the playthrough and it's such a good scene. It's not the only scene, which is also a bonus for this song, but that one is the most impactful to me. More so than the Asgore spare or defeat.

The melody kicking in past 30 seconds is really cute. Alphys herself? Honestly was pretty damn annoying because of the Hotland segment. That said, it possibly went over my head as thinking about it, and having watched LPs of three Metal Gear Solid games... Funny story. I actually started to play Genocide run and made it all the way to Sans before just choosing not to beat the game, and I remember coming to this fight like AH YEAH THIS IS AWESOME BATTLE MUSIC. And then listening to it for this ranking I realized it's just a more machine version of the intro to Battle Against a True Hero. Still a good song, but not as hype as it was during that fight. Also sad that it wasn't a real fight.
