I have a little bit towards Hispanics and immigration. Maybe it's mostly immigration stuff, which is mostly applied to Hispanics. Living in Arizona I essentially see the worst. People who have lived in the country for longer than a decade and are being kicked out because the story never makes it sound like they made an ounce of an effort to become actual citizens. And then get to see a lot of manipulation of food stamp systems.

Just to say it as lightly as possible, Arizona gives me way too many of these stories. At least they're only thoughts and I never really take it out on anyone I meet.

Looks like they're not releasing any details regarding tomorrow's new banner until the Feh channel. They usually release this kind of info at least a couple days in advance, right?

The calender has made this the most obvious Feh-channel update. We have a banner tonight, we have a GHB that has an unlisted character on the 29th, and a Legendary Hero Banner on the 31st. Plus maybe CYL on August 10th. Only thing they can do to surprise us is like... adding a new game mode or something.

The gags were pretty bad, but that was the charm to it imo. I think it was at least decent, but like yeah... I can see what you mean with dialogue and their interactions were lacking, but I felt that was just the awkward-ness that the author didn't know entirely how to interact with the gimmicks.

Think I'll bump this myself. I'm waiting on GotM, I nominated SMG for it, so maybe I get a replay in to kind of get a full feel for what everything is like when I'm doing my OST ranking. The drawing will be 25th or 26th, so I'll likely start on the OST around there.

You know, I read through the entire Code Geass thing, and it's like... a lot of these the trope creator's just forcing humor out of a lot of things. Though one thing is very easily one of these...

-Aka, Suzaku in a tense moment is fast and has good kicking, it's just his 450 spin while kicking is not the same as a roundhouse. Such moments where this happened: Saving Nunnally from a bomb, finale to the first season with Suzaku finding out Lelouch is Zero. And second season: Lelouch storming the meeting of all of his siblings to announce himself emperor and Suzaku as his knight.

For those who read my Undertale topic, this is a topic series where I take nominations for individual OSTs and rank every song from them. Experiencing some games doesn't always include gaming, but also watching. Now, there's not really a place I can record every game I've watched, so it's up to you to ask about some of your favorite OSTs and see if there's a chance I "legally" play the game, or am willing to watch a LP or another way of just watching the gameplay, like I've done for almost half the MG/S series by now, for example.

Now, of course, this is a nomination topic, so I do have to set rules. At the start of this, everyone had one nomination that's gained over the course with every game poll I release. (Polling means I random what's been nominated and put 9 or 10 on a poll, 9 because I will put the latest game I've beaten if I've beaten one between the start of the previous topic and the start of the next one) I will also get all current nominations in the next post.

The battle against furry Bane_of_Despair. With SAVE the World I told the tale that I already liked the melody of this song, and like... it starts off with violins before just suddenly changing genres and going to rock. I especially like the change in melody at 0:45, and then how they use Flowey's theme in the song two different ways. And of course, 2:26 is exceptional. Hopes and Dreams is a track that's fantastic in context, and fantastic out of it.

Feels weird that I got multiple paragraphs out of my #2, but I'm not as inclined to talk about this fight as much. I did beat it, but most of it has honestly left my mind. It wasn't the most impactful thing to me, sometimes with gaming I always liked smaller stories that you create more of it on your own yourself. It's why I love Zelda that much. Undertale was full fleshed, but it did a few things I don't enjoy. But for now... project is done.

What'd you guys think of the project? Is there anything come Super Mario Galaxy that you think I can do better in regards to how I'm doing these rankings? Is it safe to put back up the nomination topic? Just any criticism with how I do these should be fine.

#2. Battle Against a True Hero

Heading into Genocide, I knew this fight was a thing. And going into that mode, I disliked so much about it. The spotty monster spawns on how I basically had to run around in circles in a specific area just to get monsters to spawn so I could massacre them, just having the But no one came screen and the music with it creeped me out (which is what it's supposed to do, I'm just easily scared). And just utterly one shotting bosses, not getting actual fights. All this changes... when you attack the little monster boy who wants to protect Undyne from you. Undyne gets up in a super anime moment... and spawns such a hype fight.

This battle is straight up my favorite, because it's damn hard, but fun to get over. Being brutally murdered by Sans didn't really make me want to get over the fight that much, as I still don't like bullet hell that much. This fight, however had such a fun mechanic and just felt good getting further and further without getting hit. But enough about the battle, I have to cover the song.

A huge amount of the hype factor went into just starting this song, you heard the heroics of Spear of Justice and expected a song similar to that, but instead you get piano at the start in such a beautiful melody, before the sound system that you know Undyne for kicks in at the 19 second mark, and it continues this melody that only makes you want to battle forever. And before it really gets boring, 1:35 kicks in where it returns to that piano and begins a new melody, which gains the ZUN trumpet at 1:56 and continues to... really represent Undyne. Like this song massively changes the Undyne experience, but also makes sure it's not deviating from the feel of Undyne's previous battle music. It's a truly fantastic piece.

If you want to see every chapter for completionists sake then it's pretty bad.

The way I look at it is that it's meant to be a balancing act for people who suck too much. So if you lose too many characters can you unlock an extra chapter that gives you more powerful characters to make up for it. That's the best way to justify it. I always just ignore them, they weren't in the original game anyway

It's still unlockable characters that are based around having dead characters, which is annoying. Especially for someone like me, being a completionist. I've never recruited those characters because I don't like having teammates die, but it means I miss out on ever having recruited them.

That said, remake to FE3 basically made Shadow Dragon look even worse, since they didn't hide characters behind death wall gaiden chapters, they gave you more chapters to tell stories in between SD and HoLaS, added Supports... and actually added more story. But wasn't released outside of Japan because "wah Shadow Dragon didn't sell"

No, but by this point it's kind of "hey, here have the experience of FE1 if you're somewhere else in the world. With every failed mechanic of FE1."

It was a remake to give us the world of Marth and the only thing they updated was like... sprites and a few changes with characters (less overblown sword users). And gaiden chapters, which was a terrible mechanic in this game.

Ghost Fight has the jazz, Dummy has the strange all-over-the-place that matches the fight... Spider Dance just straight up has a fun tune with such an odd way to play the melody. It becomes so catchy, 0:33 it hits the first change in the melody and it turns from what would have gone stale to just awesome. And while 1:06 starts a tune that's really painful for the ears, it just feels... right on point with spiders. I end up liking even the worst parts of the tune because of just how well it... I can't find the word I'm looking for. Guess just emulates the experience of spiders. Close enough.

Acoustic guitars and BGM... can always make for such a great piece. One of my favorite songs out of BGM has that instrument, and it has piano! It's my favorite combo of piano and strings! Ahaha~ The undertale melody is utterly beautiful, and the instruments it uses just makes the song experience worth while, with the flute in the middle of the song among other things. My only problem, and thus the only thing that drops this here, is that 5-6 mins the song doesn't do that much, past 6 mins the song ends magnificently however. This is the one Undertale song that'd be cool to transcribe and play on the instruments I own, however.

And the way you decide your rankings is very strange to me.

I actually don't discuss a lot of what like... gets some individual rankings. I'm kind of a critic so yeah, we do have my "is this song even necessary?" write-ups that dumps a song further back, but I'm not very resourceful when it comes to like very specific pieces of music interest, so it's tough to actually rank sometimes. I have a very high 'accepting' taste group, and sometimes I sound a lot more critical than I actually find something to be. Sometimes I'm like that meme: "It's shit" -9/10.

One that wasn't really picked by anyone to place here. It's similar to Megalovania where kind of past the main melody, it's not quite as interesting, but it's also techno-ish instead of flat rock which appeals to me. And I had it 6th before trading spots with Snowdin... because I turned this on and for the first time I noticed that 00:30 kicks in CORE's melody. And I sat there like "how the fuck didn't I notice that, that's actually cool." So I swapped them. Just past one minute the song gets really cool, and then of course, 1:30 is fantastic. That to the end is the easy reason this song is top 5 worthy.

I'll admit, I love town songs. Part of that is just I'm a major fan of Zelda games, and every town through Zelda typically has a great tune, and a lot of staying power in their locations. At least in my opinion. Having something like the Kakariko Village song in particular is like, just waiting around in the village feels great because of its BGM. This song takes what I like about town themes (staying ability) and gives it a winter feel. I love Winter (though it's not my favorite season, to say).

And to be honest, I swapped my 5 and 6 just before this placement after listening to both one last time. Not because of any caving in, but I noticed something about 5 I didn't before, and I'll talk about in its write-up.
