I mean, there is so much kid's media where straight children are shown being romantic or even kissing.
Like the characters in Hey arnold are nine years old and they're all kissing each other way back in the 90s and nobody batted an eye, because they're straight and because there's no reason to get outraged that kids are shown being romantic with each other.

like, why shouldn't she come into her powers? That's how she helps people. You're saying she should learn how to fight without using powers? Why her, specifically, and not any other super hero? The whole movie is about her coming into her power and realizing she doesn't need to be restricted by others' opinions of where she "should" be

the quips are annoying AF. They aren't clever or funny most of the time. And the other problem isn't just quippiness. It's bathos they drench their movies in. (bathos is an effect of anticlimax created by an unintentional lapse in mood from the sublime to the trivial or ridiculous.)

basically whenever the movie is about to allow itself to be earnest, it steps back and makes a dumb quip or awful joke because it won't allow itself to be earnest. likely partly because the writers are trying to come across as self-aware of how goofy superhero stories are, and partly because so many of stan lee's characters are just so similar to each other -- quippy, american wisecracking humor.

ultimately it makes the writing (AND HUMOR) in their movies feel very samey to a lot of people, including me.

100% the worst casting in the MCU was Brie Larson. She has the charisma of a slice of bread. And not even the fancy bread.

they're real. i actually grew a few of them as propagations from leaves. And the cactus pieces in the first picture got knocked off of larger plants earlier this year, and now they have their own root systems.
