i've seen videos where conservatives were advocating internment for gay people, because they thought gay people wouldn't be able to keep propagating if you kept them out of society.

They do look plainer than usual. I think if they each had a unique outfit this wouldn't stand out so much. this is the first time both genders have been given the same outfit. It makes me wonder if they are meant to start you out as students in a school.

"there is a lot" is only correct when it applies to something uncountable like "there is a lot of sand"

If it's countable (like people) then you don't use "is". [a lot of people] can be treated as a plural whereas [a lot of sand] can be treated as singular. that's why you would say "[a lot of people] have" instead of "[a lot of people] has"

and why you'd say "[a lot of sand] is" instead of "[a lot of sand] are"

Still haven't played the 3DS version. Some of the minor changes Ive heard rub me the wrong way, lol. Like gating the Inn Key behind the Goron Mask. But it does look great.

Speaking of the Inn, I fucked it up anyway because I forgot that if you talk to Anju too early she knows you don't have a reservation. >_>

the 3ds version was my first time playing the game. and it is gorgeous. i remember marveling at some of the dungeon interiors, and the setpieces in the buildings are lavishly decorated with furniture and trinkets that say a lot about the people living there. The colors are rich and deep and the lighting is perfectly eerie. it was a step up from the oot remake

i use it on my phone bc it's a step away from google's purview and it's just as good.

as far as I'm concerned, if there's an easy step I can take to block google, it's worth it

the move toward hidden secret gestures that you wouldn't know about unless you looked up a list of them. nowadays you get a different menu depending on which side of the notch you pull down from. to view your list of apps you have to pull up from the middle of the bottom of the screen and hold it there for a bit, otherwise you just go home.

these are fundamental gestures that we use many times a day. but the visual communication of these kinds of navigation is really poor. You either know how to use it or you don't. It's not something that is communicated well to the user, which is bad UX design. phones are mainstream and they aren't just meant to appeal to people like us who can easily memorize all the intricacies of the interface. They also have to appeal to old people who won't understand why they can't find the place to adjust the screen's brightness when they pull down from the top of the phone.
