I have no idea why. my vision was fine. I just had a strong pain in my left eye and it was worse when i opened my eye. it hurt for about 20 minutes before dissipating. I don't think I had anything in my eye. It looks fine.

That would protect same-sex marriages in the roughly 30 states that currently prohibit them, should the court overturn Obergefell.
The bill also would provide additional legal protections to same-sex couples, such as giving the attorney general the authority to pursue enforcement actions and ensuring that all states recognize public acts, records and judicial proceedings for out-of-state marriages.

The word "groomer" isn't banned in entirety. If it's used in the context of an adult who genuinely groomed a child then reddit does not ban the term.

It's banned specifically in instances where people use it as a pejorative against gay people, which conservatives have been doing for the past year. It's their latest buzzword to call gay people pedophiles. In that context--as a pejorative for LGBT people--it is banned on reddit.

it's not worth playing the original metroid game. I also wouldn't bother with metroid 2.

In any case, they've both been remade. I think metroid 2's official remake is kinda meh, but zero mission is a perfect remake of the original metroid game.

IMO super metroid's movement is too stodgy. I'd play the GBA games, they feel much nicer to play. Maybe Zero Mission first, then Fusion.

yeah the point of these is to hype them up and convince everybody else that they are high-value, exclusive, rare, and unique. Even if you don't care about the NFT, you should act like you do, because that will make other people think it's got value, and an NFT's value depends entirely on what people THINK its value is. In other words, an NFT's value is exactly as much as you can convince people it is.

ok. maybe i would have liked it. but i'm not interested now. any time i see one of the characters my interest is just worn out.

i got tired of seeing the characters and eventually i lost all will to every try the game. every time i see the characters I'm just already burnt out on them.

i used one last year for a few months but I don't think it did anything for me.

Go nuts. I have no sympathy for mice trying to live in my space either.

I'm not reading that giant post, but if you're saying the second game doesn't have the charm the first game has you are correct.

it's not a giant post. but that is kind of the gist. I'm basically saying it's not as well written, the humor is far wackier, and it feels like the writers were overly fixated on recreating the meme reddit-style humor similar to "cake is a lie", but I also don't think that replicating portal 1's style would have worked for portal 2 either.

i miss portal's less overtly comedic tone. portal feels mysterious and ominous with understated humor until the end of the game when glados's immaturity ramps up and she starts insulting you out of desperation. glados feels like a believable computer AI gone awry which is trying and failing to understand humans. the game is 99% just listening to glados, an interesting character.

whereas in portal 2 every character is a cartoon character. wheatley is a caricature. cave johnson is a caricature. from the very start of the game, even the anonymous announcer is saying things like "If the Earth is currently governed by a manner of animal-king, sentient cloud, or other governing body that either refuses to or is incapable of listening to reason, th- [RECORDING SHORTS OUT]" In portal 2, the caricatures kind of swallow up any sense of gravity.

it's just all very silly from the get-go. a lot of the jokes feel like reddit comments.

that said, I can also kind of understand WHY portal 2 is different, I don't think it could have been the same as portal. Part of the fun of playing portal the first time is realizing that your computerized guide is actually saying some really messed up things, despite her sterile emotionless voice. Realizing that this isn't just some straightforward test facility, and something is up. By the end of portal, the cat is already kind of out of the bag, and you understand what kind of facility Aperture is, and who's managing it. They couldn't open Portal 2 and redo that sense of discovery. Also, everybody had already had their fill of cake = lie memes by the time portal 2 came out, and the expectation was for more jokes. Trying to pull off a subdued tone in the sequel may not have worked after having seen how insane glados and her personality cores are.

So I still enjoy Portal 2's writing, but it definitely doesn't come close to portal's writing and its more concise story.

there are two feeders and he won't let anybody else come near either one. he can just share it but he's too territorial and greedy.

he waits on the tree branch near the feeder until anybody else comes for a drink. Then he scares them away. Little bastard. I'm gonna squirt him with my water gun if he does it again.

you can't tell me that straight guys unilaterally don't care, you really don't speak for all straight guys. in the last town I lived in, pretty much every guy treated me completely differently once word got out that i'm gay. even the ones who had been friendly and warm suddenly became brusque.

Hank hill is uncomfortable with LGBT people but he's never actually antagonistic to them. Whereas Tim Allen's character is actively mocking gay people and is clearly disgusted with them. while also portraying the lgbt-positive adults as bumbling authoritarians and tim allen's character is laughably portrayed as incisive and subversive.

I haven't enjoyed mythical Pokemon ever since they completely disconnected them from the games. Was magearna from XY? It could have been found in the PokeBall factory. Was it from SM? Then put it in the observatory or something.

minimalism done well would actually look good, not like this slopmess of an apartment. Proper minimalism means putting a lot of thought into the few things you ARE going to use, and carefully arranging them so they are most effective and attractive.

a house like in that photo is simply laziness. an ugly chair plopped in front of an ugly tv with cables strewn about. no thought put into it. chair placed in just the right spot to make your path to the front door as awkward as possible.

If you treat your employees poorly, the smartest, strongest employees will be the first to jump ship. They are wanted elsewhere and will happily find employment at a better company. Leaving behind the employees who can't find work at other places because they aren't as good.

yes it is, I've seen people claim it plenty of times before.

I don't think avatar is a great movie but the people who claim it's bad because most people don't know the characters' names are really dumb. there are loads of great movies whose characters' names I don't remember. And I bet if you looked at a list of top 100 movies and looked at the ones you've seen (that don't feature a character's name in the title of the movie) you'd find some that you love even though you can't remember any names.
