I cant tell if it was his idea or a guy in the yakuza but him and his 'sworn brother' went to shoot up a rival clan giving trouble 3 years ago. Hes ambused by the pinky guy Kiryu beat up in chapter 1. Then hes locked up in a yakuza blacksite, his eye gouged out and left there for a year. What wild!You might have realized this already if youve played a few more chapters, but that wasnt Kuze (guy who lost his finger) who tortured Majima, it was Shimano, leader of another family in the Tojo Clan (the family Majima was formerly in). Hes Sagawas sworn brother and thats why Sagawa has been in charge of everything Majima does. --- |

Each type of enemy/ally you can sacrifice is worth a specific number of points of favor, but are worth only half that amount if they are dead. Once you have eight points you get a gift, and at sixteen points you get the kapala (health restoration item). Damsels are worth eight, so you only need two of them sacrificed alive to get that item. Surprising you've only just learned about that one! --- |

Maybe its just that Ive continued to play Ninja Gaiden 1 and 2 up to the current day (fuck 3, even the Japanese version) so I am too used to how those feel. Enemies in The Messenger were way too slow and easy. I got to the second half and wasnt impressed by anything new I saw so I dropped it. have you tried Caves of Qud? Its a roguelike thats been in early access for a while that (usually) doesnt immediately punish you for not using the correct strategy, and the skill and mutation systems are pretty cool. Has cool music, too. I like TOME a decent amount but I find myself gravitating towards Qud more and more (or going back to Stone Soup) --- |

I swear thats one of the things they force you to do once before you leave the planet the first time. I could understand a complete newcomer to games not reading what the guy says when he gives you the launch code, or not noticing the button prompt to translate that pops up every time you look at Nomai text but Jeff really has no excuse. --- |

It only does one more damage per hit than the Buster. If you don't have Atomic Fire, Crash Bomb works well, especially if you get it to explode on the leaf shield around him. Air Shooter isn't bad either if you are willing to tank some damage getting up close. --- |
