How privy are they to the mature content and themes? Specifically, if a child actor is casted to play an abused child, are they actually told what type of abuse they need to portray?

Because it seems pretty messed up to take a child and make them act as a victim of child abuse. It's like, you don't want kids watching this, but you're perfectly okay with casting child actors to reenact some of these deeply mature themes

wow just watched that part. Wtf. This show just got way too god damn dark. Fuck man. This is going to be an absolute struggle to finish. Not because it's bad, but it just feels like the entire tone of the show is going in a direction that I'm just not trying to feel

Since he dawned his hoodie in the beginning of season 3 like he was Spiderman, the show felt like a high stakes suspense action/heist movie. Break-ins, getaways, simultaneous action scenes, hell even White Rose felt a bit like a James Bond villain when he wasn't in his alter ego. They even poke fun at this with the Die Hard reference. And now god damn, I think I can figure out what's going to happen next, and just how dark and sinister the show will be. Man this is sad. I kinda feel bad for hating on season 3. It was like his childhood creativity melding with his anti-society crusade to give him a fulfilling reality. And I was shitting on it. Feelsbadman

This is also why I liked Elliott. From the get-go, I could tell the guy wasn't an introvert. In the first season he attributes his frustration and loneliness to being unable to connect with others. An introvert prefers their own company. So you could tell he wasn't like this because he was born that way. Something happened

Absolutely insane that Fernando would be the one responsible for this. He legitimately is the true villain of the series, and he succeeded in destroying his nemesis. Most terrifying and haunting villain I've ever seen. In some other level of psychopathy, he breaks him down to his very core, and attempts to use that against him to recruit him. Easily top 10 villain. Feel pretty disgusted for enjoying him in the first season

But man these dramatic tone shifts every season really fuck with your mood. Even within this episode. It starts off as a little side thing Elliott had to handle. Almost felt like a filler. There was a bit of humor as well. And then it just drops this on you. Why

i'm not really enjoying season 3. Too much exposition for me. Also not a big fan of explaining what other characters were up to during season 2. Would have preferred to either leave it open ended or briefly go over it with dialogue.

In addition, I get the sense that they built up too many antagonists and didn't know what to do with them so they're either coalesicing them or killing them off.

idk, this show felt like twin peaks for a bit, but now they feel compelled to explain everything. I like when shows let ambiguity and absurdness stand on their own.

But I'll keep watching. I wanna see Fernando come back.

why does so much of our tax dollars go towards it?
