My feeling is that it didn't feel like any of the mistakes were malicious. You can tell when writers or a showrunner are actively antagonizing a fanbase but I never got that sense with Fallout. It runs through New Vegas and its version of the engine and gameplay so you can have a much better time in Fallout 3 with NV's improvements. Maximus was the most useless character I've seen in a show in a long time. It would not have suffered one bit if he were never there and in fact he was an active detriment in some places. Like she knew what Raiders were instantly and even what a Knight was but a fucking tumbleweed gave her pause.
