It's called A Tale of Two Wastelands and how it works is that it basically converts Fallout 3 and all its DLCs into a giant mod for New Vegas.

It runs through New Vegas and its version of the engine and gameplay so you can have a much better time in Fallout 3 with NV's improvements.

There are various mods for it which let you customize your perks and all sorts of things as well.

the show is great if you aren't a huge fan of the fallout series or started with Fallout 4. it really could have been its own thing or even a parody of post-apocalyptic games due how many changes they made. why even call itself Fallout at this point when it has very little to do any of the games? money money money

It has plenty of accuracies to the games that make it recognizable as a Fallout show.

Yeah it was pretty accurate in a lot of ways but inaccurate in others.
My feeling is that it didn't feel like any of the mistakes were malicious. You can tell when writers or a showrunner are actively antagonizing a fanbase but I never got that sense with Fallout.
Feels like they respect and like the source material they just got stuff wrong at times.

Yeah, I mean....the writers absolutely nailed the tone and feel of the show so you can tell they're fans of the series.

I'm a really big Fallout fan and I'm fine with the inaccuracies. New Vegas is even my favorite Fallout game and though this show pretty much craps on it I still liked it a lot.

Isnt the show more based on Fallout 3?

Only one episode in and the only thing I don't like so far is they keep wanting Ghouls to be actual zombies that sleep in graves. This is a Bethesda problem though.

I think that was just a special case for him. The dialogue implied he was basically a prisoner of some big shot.

Goggins was buried as some sort of punishment. He didnt put himself there.

I'm tempted to watch it, cuz the reviews are fairly balanced between critics and users, but I've literally never consumed any Fallout media at all, aside from seeing a friend play Fallout 3 for a bit years ago.

That said, it's on about the same wavelength as the One PIece live action thing, which was absolutely awful, sooooooo....maybe people just have no taste.

I've got all the Fallout games, and have kinda meant to play them for ages, just never have. So, like, I could do that first, really.

Just finished all 8, damn good show. Cannot wait to see season 2. I wonder what ending for New Vegas they will be using going forwards? Might get to see Caesar's Legion, or what's left of them.

Seeing the nukes hit L.A like that, that was rough. The only nitpick I have about the show, was how quickly the scientists hand-raised dog seemed to switch sides, considering the ghoul it is running around with was the same person that attacked it's master and nearly killed it. I thought dogs were more loyal than that.

Ive heard it disrespects the lore of the Fallout games that are actually good (1, 2, and NV), so Ill pass.

Never cared for Fallout, but what Ive seen so far is pretty gripping and interesting. Some thought and care went into crafting this.

It was a very fun, very enjoyable show. A lot of my problems are nitpicks really. I can complain all day about the choices they made around the NCR and the like but ultimately it's Bethesda's story not mine. And they can tell it how they want. They entertained me. That's what matters

Liked the show, been a Fallout fan since the first game when I was a kid.

Ive only seen the Brotherhood of Steel so far. Cant wait to see the NCR

As a brit i just love that accent in movies. I also hated Daniel Craig but as soon as i saw him in Knives out, i like him now.

The only Fallout game I've played is 4 and I've only played an hour or two of it. So basically, I know nothing about Fallout. Series looks interesting to me and I do plan on watching it. I did like what I saw of Fallout 4, just didn't have the time to play it. Only tried it since it was offered through PS Plus. Got the Steam version shortly after then decided to play other games first.

If you aren't real familiar with the games the show is still easy to follow. They even put some really dumb sounding dialogue in solely for the benefit of people that don't know terms and such so they could understand.

There's a lot of characters but none of them were in any of the games.

Thats kind of irrelevant, considering the show follows most of the lore pretty respectfully. Lucy is essentially the protagonist from Fallout 3, looking for her dad.

My wife is doing the same with me, but shes enthralled with the show. She watched me play the games, so I only had to explain minor things, such as stimpaks, chems, and ghouls.

Which is IMO the best choice to make. To me the fallout world is the star, so making an original story in the world was the best choice.

oh and someone from the games does show up in a flash back cameo, Mr. House.

I was hoping to see more of the vault life but were on the surface already and the surface doesn't seem as hostile as I thought it'd be
