I'm sure there was a fine. I don't remember. I guess they had issues with students not returning stuff.

Only once and it was a college library. I returned a book a day late and I had to make an appointment where I explained myself and they said if I did that again, I'd be permanently banned from taking another book.

I have a lot I'm trying to do right now and I was looking for support. Both my folks get either ambilivant about my career change and the national guard or outright disapproval.

I don't need approval but it hurts that my parents of all people can't say they believe in me or tell me I got this.

Best I can get from my mom is "I understand." I tell her I'm not looking for just understanding and I called her cold.

She gave a "well..." face and admitted she was cold and said "You're looking for something I can't give you."
