After what a shitshow this has been, even if this was all some ploy to get to a huge surprise post manga continuation of PM inside a 3rd a season of anime, their gambit failed big time. And if it actually IS banking on making an entire 3rd season out of the remaining manga content...that's going to be its own shitshow. --- |

Tokyo Ghoul's anime situation may be more of an overall confusing mess, but I would say the actual product of Neverland 2 here is definitely worse as far as just being a show. Another confusing thing here is....the season is almost over. There's definitely not gonna be another one. They skipped all this stuff, accelerated it it to such a degree, but there still definitely not enough time to wrap it up? Like, are they going to skip that much stuff, spend 2.5 episode after a recap episode talking in a room, and STILL have to hardcore rush the ACTUAL ending? Or are they going to go full anime original ending? If so, then what was the point of keeping so much of the last part but completely screwing it up? --- |

The direction and pacing is terrible, and even if you completely ignore everything that was cut and try to take it on it's own merit as an individual product, it's just bad. Yes, the core story is a departure from the first season SIGNIFICANTLY to begin with, but that has nothing to do with everyone dunking on season 2. It is a horrific adaptation. Every episode makes it more and more clear that they had absolutely no idea what they were doing. --- |

The internet was aflame with controversy when episode 2 came out, but at the end if the day it's just gets more bland and boring. I made it as far as episode 9 before dropping. At least people seem to be catching on onto the trick, since Redo of a Healer is airing this season and is pulling the same "controversy sells" trick, but nobody cares about that show at all. --- |

Also not sure what of these you've seen, so just throwing it at the wall here. Steins;Gate - still my #1 anime. Baccano - one of the best, DEFINITELY not streaming, but if you're DLing then this is A++ Fate/Zero - of all the fate shows this is the absolute must watch Psycho Pass - Minority Report anime. Mushishi - this is a lot more down to earth, definitely COMPELLING but not like in a single narrative way, it's primarily episodic stuff Devilman Crybaby - short, on Netflix, very good time and a much better source of the Despair porn than Goblin Slayer Don't wanna make this too long, this is a solid few assuming you haven't seen a bunch of them. There's a few others I would reccomend but they either have no dub or a terrible dub (Madoka, From the New World, Kaiji, just to name a few) Also want to give a shout out to another all time gave Eureka Seven, which also has a great dub and is readily available, but...harder to call it compelling, definitely has its slow parts. --- |
