At least you actually have the option to backtrack and retrace your steps for missables, something you can't always do in other games. And there are only maybe, what 3 or 4 items you are intended to backtrack for? Some metal enemies in the 1st and 3rd worlds, and some spirit enemies in one of the temples of the 2nd world.

Fun fact, if you hack in the final sword at the beginning of the game using a game genie or something you can cut through most bosses invincibility phases cause the game counts it as metal.

Jellyfish are like a slightly more evolved slime mold.

Slime molds are really fucking good by the way at optimization of finding food. Some guys in Japan did an experiment where they put food on a map of Japan proportionally to the population density and then put a slime mold on it and the shape the slime mold finally settled on had a huge overlap with the train tracks all across Japan.

I don't like how you have to backtrack to kill useless no challenge enemies because you don't have the right sword when you first fight them. Other than that it's a great game with fantastic music.

It's like a harambe situation though. On the surface it looked like harambe was trying to protect the kid but kid was still getting dragged around like a gorilla kid and not a human kid. No, that has class+race combos. This was strictly faction based, buying/using a bunch of generic minions exclusive to your faction to use against the other players/neutral deck and using/saving money to buy different units that were more expensive.

Like the undead faction had generic skeletons that could resurrect from the GY as the 1 cost unit, and I think the 4 cost unit was some kind of flier like a gargoyle or something.

How did you do deck building? Was there a communal market or did you start with a fixed set of cards?

Epic PvP Fantasy? There was a lot more than 4 races tho.

You can't cross an out of bounds zone at all. If you somehow glitch into an out of bounds area you die instantly.

Yes. Believe it or not, games used to actually sell out. If you didn't preorder a copy of Ocarina of Time in the 90s, you didn't get one (until a few weeks later)

Pathfinder 1e was actually a direct response to Wizards not using the OGL for 4e and instead using the far more restrictive GSL.

Other way around. Pathfinder came first. WotC was mad that they couldn't monetize it so they made the 4e license more restrictive.

Tiger almost always wins. Male lions can reliable beat female tigers however. The male tiger's extra bulk pushes it beyond what a lion can handle unless it can ambush the tiger while it was tired or hungry.

Because this chicken won't cook both sides perfectly at the same time I have no choice but to eat it raw. This way I at least know what I'm getting. Unlike "cooked" chicken which might be raw inside anyway or half burnt. Plus you have no idea what that pan was used for. Can't really trust it.

Pathfinder is definitely not a beginner friendly game. The huge downside of the 3.x systems that nobody ever likes to talk about is that it's way too easy to make a character that's completely useless. It was made by and for people who like to minmax the shit out of everything.

4e was released but under a more restricted license. The only product as far as I'm aware that ever made it to market under the 4e license is a game called Amethyst.
