It's a little unexpected for me because all the car mags rave about how quick they are given their EV status but no one buys them for that.

My fault for not specifying. I am currently looking at 2 cars/trucks right now.
The Hyundai Santa Cruz SE with the 2.5L I4 engine (Crossover Truck?)
The Dodge Charger SE with the 2.7 L V6 engine. (Sedan)
Do you actually know what you want? You're cross shopping an econo-CUV with a large RWD sedan. You're comparing apples to pistachios.

I disagree, especially now since I've owned my home for the last several years.

I don't want traffic coming in and out of the house at all times of the day or night. So if you're going to be living in my house I don't necessarily need "permission" but the least you could do as a courtesy would be to drop a message or note about it.

You can't just do whatever the hell you want in my house while living rent free - don't care how old you are. Don't like it? Easy solution - get your own place.

None.

And not "none" because I don't have a card but "none" because I pay off any balances as soon as it posts or at the end of the month. I put all my big expenses (travel, furniture, home improvement, etc) on the card and currently have a zero balance.

My philosophy is simple - if whatever I'm putting on the credit card can't be paid with my debit card right then and there, then I don't use it. So the credit card is basically an extension of my checking account.

My 2021 Acura TLX A-Spec has a 10.2 inch center screen that's controlled by the True Touchpad Interface - however, most commonly used features (climate controls, heated/ventilated seats, drive modes) are controlled by physical buttons or knobs. That's the way it should be because I dont want all car features buried in menu after menu after menu.

I specifically do NOT want a damn touchscreen in my car. In addition to questionable safety issues with it, I don't need my screen littered with fingerprint grease and grime. Stuff like what I see on Teslas are a dealbreaker.

That's kind of the intent. If I'm interviewing someone for a job and I get the sense that they don't want to stay with my company for long, then I don't want you.

I know some people who straight up divorced over the kids issue. It's either the conversation somehow didn't come up during the dating period or the two people had differing goals and one thought that they could change the other's mind. Me personally, I'd want to know basics up front so we're not wasting each other's time.

I've generally avoided Samsung, as someone who has been in the industry, exactly because this hasn't been true, from what I've seen. Samsung often has perfectly suitable hardware, but their software has been incredibly problematic over the years.
What was the device you used and when was it? I'm typing this on a 2018 Tab S4 that I've used for everything from signing documents to remote VPN work. Your workflows may be different from mine but my devices have never let me down for what I need them to do.

All my computing devices and home appliances all sync pretty well together. Failures are few and far between and not enough to really matter. Your miles may very but I think Samsung as a company has come a long way from even 5-10 years ago.

Samsung literally turns off things like push notifications for non-official apps, without telling you, in order to preserve their constantly running tracking apps, when your battery life gets below like, 75%. Samsung is horrible for bloatware. I'm not talking about how their apps actually run, I'm talking about the s*** you don't even know is running
Well if the apps run well and they don't get in the way of what I want the device to do then why should I care? If you don't like the Samsung apps then delete and/or disable them. Am I able to delete or disable all of Apple's first party apps on an iPhone? No one calls that bloatware but that's what it is.

I'm looking at the Samsung apps I use for my phone and every single one of them can be deleted or disabled on a whim. I don't follow you.

Nope, the Samsung apps are often better than the Google counterparts and those Samsung apps are the closest thing Android has to the Apple ecosystem.

If you buy into the Samsung ecosystem and get their devices you will see that they all play nicely together. It's Apple-like without the stupid.

Yeah, my mortgage company did their yearly escrow analysis and came up with a shortage of about $3100. We have elected to pay that shortage outright (and then some) rather than roll it into the new mortgage which would have gone up by $400. The interest rate has held steady.

Our realtor (also a good friend of mine) also reminded us to file a Homestead Tax Credit with the state so more potential savings can come our way in the long run.

I got you dadbro:

One example, a few days ago I was giving my five year old a bath, and the normal way we rinse is with a small Tupperware we reserve for this. I was trying to get the soap out of his hair, but it's getting so long and thick that it was taking a ton of reps. And every time I do it, he complains about the water getting in his eyes. So I decided to try to put his head under the faucet, but that backfired like a b and he actually got water up his nose. So he's screaming and crying--probably felt to a five year old like drowning.

I can definitely see that happen. Whenever I give my daughter a bath, there's this plastic headpiece or partition we have where she wears it on her head that let's me (or my wife) get into her hair and wash it without any water getting into her eyes, face or anywhere else. It just falls right down her back. You can probably find something similar for your boy on Amazon or something so that problem gets solved.

Another example, a few days ago Mama made quesadillas for dinner--those being my five year old's favorite food--and I grabbed three of them to finish off the second of the four stacks, since they're cut into quarters. So we eat, and my five year old wants more because of course he does, so I get up and go to grab some. Mama says "make sure to get him one without barbecue sauce." That's a thing she does--she makes half of them with barbecue sauce. I had forgotten. Turns out, those were the last of the plain ones, and I had already eaten them all. So he's screaming and crying AGAIN because I ate his dinner, and it was even his favorite food.

That's it?? Lol don't be so hard on yourself. You weren't intentionally out there eating his favorite food so you can't get too worked up over that. Since it sounds like it's routine that the quesadillas get made on the regular just keep in mind to sequester the BBQ ones for your son.

And like a million other things just like that. Like, I managed to get through the day yesterday without doing something stupid, and I felt good about that, until I realized how amazingly bad of a standard "didn't screw up for three whole hours" is and than I felt even worse than I did before
Well you have to take your wins when you get them so always give yourself a pat on the back for a job well done. Mistakes can and will happen and what matters more is not the mistake you made but how you handle them. My 2 year old for some reason is regressing from the sleep training we gave her from 9 months on and there's this one particular plushie that she wants in her bed when she gets put down for sleep. In my efforts to get her to fall asleep quickly, I hadn't noticed that the plushie wasn't in her bed when I put her down for the night. Realizing that it was out in the living room from playing with it earlier, I waited in-between her waves of crying to quickly ninja into her room, drop it in her bed, and ninja out. She was probably on her way to sleep again without it but I didn't want her to wake up again and start crying about it if it wasn't there.

So it sounds like you've got nothing to worry about here. Just keep making adjustments as a dad and corrrect whatever mistakes you will inevitably make.

Uhh what? Your premise of this topic is the ability to hit 100% of your 3s. That's the ability. NBA teams would pour money hand over fist for that kind of talent.

And again, at 6'4" I would have no problems getting my shot off either off the dribble or having someone set a pick. And if you know anything about basketball, I don't even need to launch! My mere presence on the court will collapse the defense so much that multiple teammates will be wide open for easy buckets. It's next level Steph Curry.
