I've wanted a Speedmaster Moonwatch for a few years now.

Settled for this at ~1/10th the price. Just need to get a non-velcro strap for it and I'll be happy enough.

$0. I never cared for them as an accessory and m I find them impractical as my phone serves as a timekeeping device. Ive never seen a watch strap that looked cool, and Ive seen cool bracelets and bangles that could be occupying that valuable wrist space instead.

Artificially; it's just that you can't buy them online and Swatch only has like 15 retail stores. If you go to a store they'll likely have every model available, or on a short waitlist.

Nope I think I paid about $450 on eBay. The strawberry limited edition ones seem to be even more expensive today but the regular Moon version goes for barely over retail now.

Yeah I got it for the design, aside from the tiny little Swatch logo it looks just like a Speedmaster. Even a beat to crap used Speedmaster Automatic costs 3-4 times as much and the dial proportions aren't as nice.

I spent $10 on a CASIO F91-W over a decade ago that I still wear daily. It tells time rather than being an investment or fashion piece though, so if I were to lose it I would just replace it with the same type that goes for $20 these days.

Well Im 44 so I dont know about the younger crowd, but I was never interested in expensive luxury watches, just a necessity I fulfilled as cheaply as possible until the age where we all started carrying the time in our pockets.

I have $350 watch... which I got as a gift.

I'd probably spend somewhere up to 500 bucks for a nice one. It's a man's fashion accessory.

Which reminds me I need to get the battery in mine replaced before I attend a wedding in a couple of months.

Personally I'd be happy to spend up to 5000 on a good watch, although tbh I'm spoiled by my iWatch as I don't even think about using another watch. Smart watches have probably ruined the tradition for most younger folks.

I don't have anything super super special, my Tissot is about 1600 and I also have a Seiko Chronograph which is about 600. There are a couple of cheapy digital watches in the box underneath my watch winder. My favourite of which is my Casio calculator/tv remote watch.

A colleague of mine has a Breitling Concorde - insured at 22,000. I would love a Breitling (a cheaper one for 5k) but as an unwanted iPhone user, Apple are too fucking arrogant to share their iOS, so I'll live with my cheapy iWatch for now.

No, I'm not that one.
