Entity, you decide the next topic, but if you don't decide or choose then I guess we go with, "28 Gedks Later."

Went to wound care today, and if all keeps going well I will be healed up in a month or so, and I'll be able to resume normal life and video game activities.

Maybe even start the process of adopting a little rugrat since I can't have kids the natural way any longer.

I'll probably not be making any suggestions this time. I might be able to make some, but I don't see the point. <_<

Well, you're a legend. How about you pick the topic title, and we go with it for the next topic? Sounds fair to me.

Did we agree on a topic title yet?

Another covid topic or something completely different?

Suggestions include: Geek Restart: Bubble Edition or 28 Geeks later.

I've also considered starting an 80's and 90's film geek topic. Topic titles based on 80's or 90's films. What do you think?

I was on the way home from dialysis and wound care when I read an article about how Michael Jackson wanted to play Professor X in the 2000 X-Men movie. He said he didn't care that Xavier was an old white guy, and that he was willing to wear make up to become an old white Professor X.

Now I want to see how that turned out because I'm sure it happened in some other parallel universe.

It just seems so bizarre that it would be fun and fascinating to see Kacko as Profeasor X.

I only want two more Pops.

Mordecai and Benson from Regular Show, and I'm not paying the hundreds of bucks collectors want for the two of them, and I've sadly given up on ever having them. .

I have the rest of the cast on the Show, but not those two, and it ticks me off because I look at my display, and those are missing.

Apparently the order I placed for Pokken DX didn't go through for whatever reason. I might have thought I confirmed but there was another screen, so I placed the order today =x It sucks because had it gone through, I'd probably be getting it today.

tbh, had been wanting the title regardless for a while (but I'm opposed to paying full price for games (and pretty much anything, for that matter) which is why I hadn't got it yet) and my interest was further renewed while using Empeleon in Pokemon Go.

(Also realized I started this post many hours ago but never finished posting it when I checked the topic after Wave posted again >_<)

That really safe for you guys?

We didn't go. We ate a pot pie and a chicken sammich and some birthday cake. It's been pretty nice just relaxing at home.

My sister dropped a birthday gift card for my wife, and then dropped a super late birthday gift for me too. It was a Visa gift card as well. (My birthday was over a month ago!)

You know what that means?

Just checking in fellow Geeks!

Oreon has covid. Tested positive and got the results back last night. He's in quarantine for the next week or so. He's having mild to severe symptoms as he has a fever, feels like crap, and lost his taste buds. He's not on a ventilator or having trouble breathing so thank the Geeks for that.

As for me, I'm still going to wound care twice a week, and I have the wound Vac attached to my stomach. It's working because the wound is over half as small as it was a few weeks ago. It's only 2.6cm deep right now, and maybe another month and a half I should be completely healed.

It's also the wife's birthday so she may get lucky. I got her jewelry, a custom cake, and reservations at a nice Italian restaurant.

Stay safe out there!

Well, that Sex Box games show case was lackluster. There was some Halo, (Of Course) now Semi open world single player Halo, with a grappling hook, and Halo 2 combat to revive the old nostalgia train.

Then the rest wof the games were semi indie games that are all trying to be deep, meaningful, and esoteric.

A few of those games are fine. Not every game needs to be a Triple A 200 million dollar action film with controls, but at some point exploring childhood repressed trauma became a genre, and I'm not interested in that mess. I have enough repressed childhood trauma in my real life, and 20 hours of that at 60 bucks isn't worth a fart in the wind to me.

An update to PSO 2 online was shown, a new Fable with no game play or release year was shown, Jack Black singing for Pysconauggts 2 or whatever happened, and then a bunch of CGI trailers for games with no interest to me.

Overall, it was a mess, but I'm sure someone out there enjoyed what they had to show, but it wasn't me.

My favorite observations from the entire show was a guy in the comments saying that, Ghost of Tshushima looked better than Halo Infinite, and it's true. That sums up the Sex Box conference for today, and that comment summed up all Microsoft had to show. (Your big next generation game doesn't look as good as a PS4 game.)

P.O. what kinds of games interest you, and what are you looking for in a game, and what do you actually hate? Because it seems like it's all very random what you love or hate in a particular game.

Also, I'm with you on taking down the S.O.B. that tries to remake "The Last Dragon." That film is perfect the way it is, and is a stellar example of my 80's childhood, even more than something like The Goonies. (Which Scarlet doesn't like at all. She also hates E T.)

I think a major reason I love The Last Dragon, other than it's awesome, is that my father looks just like Sho Nuff. He had the Jerry curl dripping with activator, the terrible off the rack clothes, and a gang with him at all times when I was growing up. (By gang I mean a bunch of guys that sold drugs for him.)

That movie should not be touched.

Has anyone here actually played Ghost of Tshushima? I'm going to wait for a price drop before a purchase, but I did want a second hand opinion from you Geeks.

Tomorrow is the Xbox first party games showcase, and I'm not excited because it's Microsoft, and I'm not planning on purchasing Halo: Infinite, but for those Sex Box fans I am hoping that there are some good surprises and games that are interesting to me. Competition is good for most businesses.

My wife hates Tom Cruise because of the evil cult of Scientology thing. She refuses to watch any of the 6 or 7 Mission Impossible films. Same thing with Elizabeth Moss too, evil cult of Scientology, so Handmaids Tale is out.

Personally, I take each film or television show performance individually. I try not to mix the personal lives of the performers with their fictional counterparts. It's harder than it looks because I like old episodes of The Cosby Show, but Bill Cosby is just a rapist P.O.S. and I just end up turning the television in defeat.

I haven't had the funds to purchase The Last of Us 2 (Even though there is a copy literally upstairs so it's not really an issue.) And now Ghost of Tsushima arrives on Friday.

My spare money went to moving expenses, having the terminator come out to spray the house for bugs and insects, (There were several huge wasp and hornet nest around the exterior of the house) and then getting hit with a 1,600 dollar termite bill. They have to drill into the foundation and spray to get rid of the hungry little jerks.

Plus, even if I did have the money I'm far too sick to actually play and enjoy any games right now. It's going to be months before I'm back to normal and strong enough to sit up and play a game. The new drugs make me very sick and I end up throwing up at least three times a day. Apparently it's a offshoot of some cancer drug. I'm dog sick right now. Plus I still have a giant hole in my stomach that is stuffed full of bleached damp gauze pads making it hard to move and even walk.

Check back with me near Thanksgiving!

There was a Twitter rumor that The Playstation 5 was going up live for pre-orders this afternoon, but like most Twitter rumors, or anything on Twitter, it was full of lies and garbage.

I assume that Sony is going to wait for Microsoft to make the next move so they can undercut them on price and steal their thunder. More importantly, Sony is going to probably have a digital press conference instead of just floating some crap out on Twitter.

Finally, The Washington Racial Slurs have finally agreed to change their name. What will it be? Take your guesses now for no money and no prizes, but a lot of street cred, which might be good for a subway sammich.

*Note: Street cred sammich redemption is not viable in any of the 50 United States, Mexico, or Canada.*

On Friday I got the wound vac to start sealing up my giant stomach wound.

I cried in the hospital parking lot like my dog just died. I haven't been in that much pain since they cut off my leg. No pain medication, no numbing medication, just two nurses and a tech sticking black sponges in my stomach and telling me it's almost over when it wasn't.

You ever seen those doctor shows or films where the doctor is on top of the patient pounding the patient's heart with both of their hands, violently? Well, that's what it was like watching three people violently put giant black sponges in my stomach that hurt so bad that I openly wept.

Then for some reason smoothie king was closed in the middle of the afternoon after we were done, and I didn't get my damn smoothie that I wanted to chase down with copious pills. Website said they were supposed to be open, but they coned off the drive thru.

Eventually the pain stopped a few hours later, but i still have to go back tomorrow for more replacement sponges and suffering. Smoothie king better be open this damn time. That's all I'm saying.

I'm not going to buy a Sex Box until they have at least a half a dozen Triple A or double A games I want, and more Halo isn't doing it for me.

The rumors of Microsoft buying Warners Interactive, and the Mortal Kombat and Batman licenses are intriguing, but we're still talking about 4 years before those studios start pumping out games, and The Sex Box is coming out this fall, and that's only the rumors pan out.

I am hoping that a new Killer Instinct from Iron Galaxy happens, but while the game still has a strong but small active community, it's not a big system seller, and I'm sure it's not a high priority for Microsoft.

Those are just my opinions, and I hope that with the Microsoft first party showcase in a few weeks happening, that a few surprises pique my interest, but thus far, meh.

To follow up on a topic from a week or so ago; I bring back up, The Last of Us 2, but not because of the game itself, but about what's happening to voice and motion capture actress, Laura Bailey.

She's an experienced voice actresses with lots of work to her credit, and I remember her vividly as young Trunks and Goten from DragonBall Z.

Now idiots on Twitter and Facebook are threatening to kill her, sexually assault her, and do harm to her family. Neil Druchman of Naughty Dog is getting the same death threats sans the sexual assault proclamations.

This is just the evolution of the hate culture we talked about earlier.

We have all been upset over the choice writers or producers take a movie or show, but we quit watching, (Doctor Who) move on with our lives, we don't threaten to kill and sexually assault the actors. Because we are fully functional adults.

I just wish the world was different.

It's a giant crater on the left side of my stomach covered with a bandage. I won't get the wound vac until Tuesday morning. In the meantime Scarlett has to dig into my stomach, remove the dirty bandages, pit in clean ones,, and then cover it back up every day until Tuesday. Stupid insurance won't let me put the machine on me until it's approved and cleared. It's about 4 inches deep hole that is about another 4 inches wide. The wife wouldn't let me see it or take a picture of it for me, fearing would get depressed, which means it's pretty damn bad.

I've veen running a low fever on and off all day, and had nausea for the last three days. Today has been the first day I haven't vomited all of my food and drink back up after consumption.

I came to talk about Evo getting canned because Joey couldn't keep his hands to himself, or his privates in his pants, but giant stomach wounds are cool too.

Surgery went well. They had to dig deeper than expected, but they got all the calcification out of the wound. Now the healing process can begin, and as a bonus I got some good drugs for my trouble. This just in to the Action News Desk!

My oldest brother's wife has tested positive for Covid 19.

My older brother Speedy's wife is a nurse, and must have caught it from one of the patients. They live in Indiana, which is a long way from us in South Mississippi, but it still stinks, and gets added to the crao fest that has been rhis day and year.

Her 14 day isolation begins today, and she is trapped in the upstairs portion of the house while Speedy and the kids have to live downstairs. Speedy also had to quit his job temporarily until his test results come back, and has filed for unemployment.

We do need to talk about how cats are superior to dogs. I don't have to interrupt my gaming, movie r television watching, or just relaxing to take the dog out for his or her bathroom break.

I just clean the liter box every other day, and boom, no issues. Cats also don't bark and annoy you while sleeping. My cats don't make a noise at all while we are sleeping. Plus the cats don't eat my food or beg for my food while I'm eating.

Finally, after watching every episode of Forensic Files ever; the dog hair DNA has convicted the criminal at least 5 times when no other evidence was available. Again cats, once, and they had to invent a whole new DNA technique.

Now before you say that dogs are loyal and protect the home, I say a shotgun and an alarm system, which decreased your insurance cost, do the same thing.

Overall, it is clear that cats are betyer than dogs.

P.S. cats kill and eat bugs and insects in your house.

From what I understand as I haven't had a chance to play the game myself, because my nieces jacked my copy of TLOU 2, the violence serves a point, but i won't know until I finish the game.

When did being a man mean that anytime that a woman rejects you that instead of moving on, learning and growing from the experience, and trying again, with knowledge and experience, so that your can meet the right person; morph into, "All women are trash, and F those B's."

In the context of gaming this hate culture has bled into review bombs of The Last of Us 2. "Oh Ellie, a fictional character has a sexual preference that isn't mainstream." How the hell does that effect you at all? More importantly how does it make you so angry that you trash a game you haven't played, and no possible way you could have finished before it was released?

Has our male ego come to this? I'm ranting because it's just so dumb, and makes me hate humanity even more.

Hell, we ruined staying at home in the digital age. We literally couldn't sit on our couches, play video games, watch television, order any food under the sun, and enjoy the a.c. in the summer. We couldn't even do that, and now we hate fiction characters because they digital reject you.

"You either die a hero, or you live long enough to see yourself become the villain."

There was a time when I would have laughed at you for suggesting that cats are better than people, but man... screw humanity, and give me more cats and dogs. I like my cats more than people. I come home and Beerus jumps on me, gives me head rubs, and is happy to see me. I didn't bring him anything, I didn't feed him extra food. He's just happy I'm there. He's happy I exist. Batman is the same for my wife. Then I get on the internet, and sadness and anger.

If I could get away with it, without consequences I would probably be a serial killer. Here's a scenario...

Me: "Oh, you're a racist?"

Racist: "Yeah, and..."

Me: This (Shoots racist in knee cap)

Me: Oh, I'm sorry, did that hurt? So does racism. Now I need you to tell me who else you know that's a racist.

Racist: (Screaming) Go to Hell N word!

Me: I'll see your wife and little kid there first. Unless you give me the names.

Racist: (Begging) No, not Heather and Doug.

Me: Yes, especially Doug. Can't have him get revenge on me in a decade. Now how about those names?

Racist: Fine, but don't hurt my family. (Gives names)

Me: Thank you Racist. (Cuts off head with katana.) Now to take out the rest of your family and racist friends anyway. (Evil Laugh!)

Something like that, but that was a work of fiction. I would never use a katana to kill a racist. I would stick Confederate flags up their butts.

I like the look of the Playstation 5. It's different, and I kind of dig that. My biggest selling point right now is Spider-Man: Miles Morales, being a launch title for the PS5. Those evil monsters at Sony are pulling on my heart strings, and Oreon was on board when they announced a new Ratchet and Clank and a new Horizon Zero Dawn.

No release date or price just yet, but a disc less and a blu ray model were announced; probably/definitely one being more expensive than the other.

The wife gave me strict orders that if the damn PS5 is 599.99 then I can't get one, but anything less than 599.99 is fair game.

"Come on you corporate monsters. 499.99 is a great price."

However, Nintendo has made a lot of mistakes, The Power Glove, Rob the Robot, Virtua Boy, The Wii, Wii U, The DS. Yes, those last systems sold like hotcakes, but the Quality of the games was questionable. Well, not the Wii U, that was trash.

Sony is having their Playstation 5 reveal Press Conference on Thursday at 4 eastern time and 3 central time.

Who knows what they plan on showing, but the plan for right now is that the show is an hour long. I hope they spend 30 minutes on hardware and the last 30 minutes on software, along with a release date and a price.

I am guessing the price will be 599.99 and it will be released before or on Black Fridat to get the maximum sales push for the holidays. As for games, I'm sure Horizon Zero Dawn 2 (with multi-player) and new Ratchet and Clank, and finally a new Socom will make appearances. We shall see.

I sold my barely used Xbone One on Facebook Marketplace for 100 bucks. It's going into my, "I don't know the price yet PS5 fund." I also sold my Old grill and some other stuff too. We have more space here, but it's was just time to downsize. A nj e purge to start our new lives.

Moving is almost done. We just have some final cleaning to do at the old place, and then we'll be done.

Tropical Storm Cristobal is looming, but as usual New Orleans is going to get smashed sparing us again. I assume P.O. used his weather machine to spare us on the coast again. He did it last summer too.

The plan now is to finish unpacking, cleaning, and then finish Final Fantasy VII Remake. Then do it all over again on hard mode.

Chris didn't have any kids. He was getting sick as I got better when he let me borrow the Vita.

He was the best brother anyone could ask for. He took care of all of us, made sure we ate every day, protected us from gangs, drugs, or alcohol. He bought us video games we wanted, took us to R rated films when we were way too young to see them. He beat up my father when he tried to hurt us when he was messed up on drugs.

Chris was my father in all but name. He showed up to Parent/Teacher conferences, he saw my terrible high school plays, he drove me home from chess club meetings. He was just there for me growing up. I loved him, and he was too busy raising all of us to have kids of his own.

I'd trade that Vita for more time with jim. No question.

It might be the end of the world because Scarlett's parents actually talked to me and then gave us a hundred bucks. We didn't need the money at the moment, a d didn't ask for it, but my birthday is Monday, so I'm going to just chalk it up to an early birthday gift.

The move is almost complete, and we just have to do final cleaning at the old house. Then we have to set up my electronics at the new house and then we are done. I even found my dead brother's long lost Playstation Vita. Scarlett bought me a memory card and a charger cable as they were missing, and I'm going to play Breath of Fire III and IV.

Overall, the move hasn't been too bad. The cats however are having a hard time adjusting to the move as they won't leave the master bedroom.

If we had some sort of national testing policy like someone promised, then maybe Revelations34 could get tested without an issue. But that's neither here nor there.

Contact your family doctor or your local Covid 19 hotline, and set up some testing. It's just a nasal swab, and in 5 to 7 short business days you'll know if you have a virus that you've already passed on to countless people over that time period.

PS: Both loss of taste and smell are symptoms. I just read a new article.

Revelation34 posted...
I haven't been able to taste anything since April 24th except maybe a really tiny amount.

You know that's a minute symptom of Covid 19 right? You should probably get tested if you haven't already.

I have the Parker Luck in spades. Here is another list...

I meet the girl of my dreams, a Red Head no less, and I get sick. I'm in the hospital for 7 months and nearly die about a half dozen times. But I recover.
.
We are about to get married and my leg gets cut off. I get a robot leg and learn to walk again.

I reconnect with my drug addicted father who is now clean, he tells me about my secret half sister. Who too has kidney failure, who just had a stroke and can no longer talk or walk. So we can't actually reconnect. (I never told you guys about this one.)

My older brother Chris dies out of the blue.

Then Scarlett and I finally get a house, and my mother and brother in law die within a month of each other. One in her sleep peacefully, and the other I. A horrible motorcycle accident.

Any comments or notes follow Geeks?

In more lovely 2020 news it's hurricane season, and we are going to get pre pounded in the rear by a tropical storm this weekend or early next week. The genius meteorologist don't know an exact date yet, but it's coming this way. I'll just add this to the Decaying of Reality 2020 checklist. Let me know if I missed one.

Modern day Super Flu
Killer Hornets
Economic Depression
Race Wars
Hurricanes
(Mother and Brother in Law dying. That's a personal thing but it still counts.)

As a black man I face discrimination everyday. My wife is white, my brother's girlfriend is white, my brother in law who died last month was mixed (half white and half black) my nieces are mixed because of that, and my best friend Bank Robber is mixed as well. (Half black and half Asian.) We are literally a blended family.

I say all that so I can tell you a story.

I went to have my right leg amputated a few years ago. I had a bone disease that just cripled my right side, and I was in pain every second of every day. Scarlett goes with me to the hospital to fill out the paperwork and be with me during surgery, as she is my wife.

The nurse ask us to fill out the paperwork. I'm in pain so I can barely focus, and Scarlett knows all my information so she begins to do the work for me. The lady stops her and says,

"Look, if he can't read then we have to do a verbal agreement. Even if you're his nurse you can't fill it out for him."

"Ma'am I can read, and she isn't my nurse. She's my wife, and I'm in pain, and she knows all my information. It's just easier if she fills it out. Is it the policy that she can't fill it out because other people are both filling out forms together?"

"No, it's not the policy."

"Then why is it different for us?"

"It just is."

That's why I was fine with Sony canceling the press conference. Sure all these companies saying they support BLM or whatever is window dressing. We all know that, as companies only care about one color, green. However, any distraction, however small takes anway from the point of the narrative, and that is if you're a person of color in America you start the race with a 30 second delay, and a thousand pounds of extra weighton each leg. We're always behind.

So, waiting a week or two isn't going to change anything, but it gives us another opportunity to have our message heard. To keep the focus on the Injustice. You may disagree, but at least give us another day before people forget we matter again.
