The only time Big Show was cool or useful was in WCW when he was billed as Andre The Giant's son, nd came to the ring smoking cigarettes.

In his WWE career he has mostly jobbed and put over younger talent. He also cried a lot too. Seriously, the man can cry on demand.

Basically Big Show is only as strong or weak as the story line calls for in that particular feud.

As much as I love wrestling I have let my WWE network subscription lapse. I do watch, rather I fast forward, through most of Raw and Smackdown, but I only care about the big 4 pay per views anyway. And by then they usually offer a free month, and I don't miss the things I really care about.

As for Braun... I too like him a lot and I don't usually like the monster characters that Vince builds. However, they are going to probably feed him to Roman or Brock, and both of them suck.

Roman is about as interesting as watching paint dry, and Brock is just a roided up part timer that greatly benefits from Paul Heyman being stellar on the mic. It's hard if not impossible to get behind those 2 morons.

However, I do love me some Miz. How do all of you feel about him?

Vince McMahon is 72 years old. 72. He isn't 50 or even sixty. And by God can this man take a bump! Not only that, but he's better on the Mic and cutting a promo than 3/4 of the wrestling talent he has on his roster.

No wonder he has to send Ole Roman the Reigns to acting classes. The man has carnival barker in his blood. Great job Vince, and nurse that massive headache he probably has this afternoon. I mean he's going to nurse it with booze, pills, and steroids, but he deserves those things.

Apple now wants you to pay a grand for an Iphone X. I'm not paying 1 dollar for any Apple product let alone a grand for a phone that does the same exact thing a 150 dollar Android phone can do. (Wirelss charging included.)

Wait... Androids can't unlock the phone with your face. Well, that's clearly worth a thousand dollars.

I'm just sick of these yearly press conferences that don't announce anything new or worthwhile. Just slightly better versions of last years phone. This is the phone industry's version of Madden.

And I don't buy Madden wither.

J.J. Is back to direct Episode IX.

After Disney, and by Disney I mean Kathleen Kennedy, fired apparent ego maniac Colin Trevorrow, they needed a writer and director for Star Wars episode IX and J.J. was free.

I like The Force Awakens, and this just completes the circle. Hopefully, the movie isn't a remake of Jedi because Ewoks suck. Sorry Sobe. (Who I hope isn't dead.)

Nintendo says to not pay more than 80 bucks for the SNES Classic Edition. (Which is the retail price.)

My suggestion to that is to make more consoles so there isn't a shortage, and to directly control the preorder process instead of farming it out to retailers to mess up spectacularly.

All I know is that my handicapped butt is going to be at Best Buy on the 24th very very early. That way the wife and I can get tickets to actually get a copy. I suggest you do the same if you want a copy of the retro console.

I'm just going to leave this video right here.

Also, Metroid Samus Returns drops on Friday. I'm broke but I want the game, and Nintendo games never really drop in price. Therefore, playing the waiting game and hoping for a price drop isn't a viable iption.

Are any of you geeks playing Destiny 2? If so is it better than Destiny vanilla? I'm thinking it's just marginally better than the first. Which means it's not woeth owning or investing hundreds of hours into the game.

I watch football for the geometry. The angles of the passes and the leverage required to push a 280 pound human around. You know, math and all that jazz.

On geekier notes It (The Movie) has made a metric ton of money this weekend. And I heard that the movie is actually pretty good too. I will never be able to see the movie as my wife has terrible nightmares and does not watch scary movies. Which means I don't watch scary movies.

Therefore, if any of you do see the movie let me know if It (The Movie) is any good.

NFL football starts today or what my wife and I call it, CTE ball. Sadly this takes a day away from my video game playing schedule, and as my back log is huge this is a problem.

I already know The Cowboys aren't going to win The Superbowl, but I can pretend for the next 17 weeks of the year that they can. At this poiknt I think I route for The Cowboys because so much hate exist for them that I do it out of spite. And isn't spite how things really get accomplished in life?

I have three thoughts about that picture.

One of them is that Jerry Lawler is "The King" of perverts.

On a separate note: My wife is convinced that Hurricane Irma is somehow going to Miss Florida and destroy us here in South Mossissippi. Her mom has the same thoughts too. She's looking more and more correct as NOAA keeps shifting the damn storm further West with each update.

As I can't live without fresh water because I need kidney dialysis 3 times a week, it means I could be venturing to north Texas on Monday or Tuesday. Either way I hope she is wrong, but we will know if her psychic powers are strong by tomorrow night.

She had already called her mom about taking care of the kitty cats. (Batman and Ellie.)

In The King's defense Paige isn't the worst looking lady that worked in the WWE. (Sable, Awesome Kong, Alexa Bliss.) Well, Bliss needs yo eat a damn sammich. (Yes, I'm aware she has anorexia, but she's way too scrawny for my taste.) Awesome Kong is just scary and to think she has a kid. Sable was just not attractive to me.

However, Paige is a bit nasty, and by a bit nasty, I mean real nasty. Her marrying Alberto Del Rio plus the sex tape with Brad Maddox and Xavier Woods sealed her nastiness for me. That's not even mentioning the fact that she has all sorts of issues. Drugs, self esteem, and mommy and daddy issues. Also, abandonment issues too.

The King is still doing what any other guy would do. Look at a decent looking girl's ass. I'm not going to judge him for doing that at all.

Holy Crap I thought Bobby "The Brain" Heenan was dead. Son of a gun. Yeah, cancer is a pain in the rear.

I've been trying to mention that in South Park: The Fractured but Whole that if you start the game as a minority (Basically Black) the game difficulty is harder. The choices are less favorable, people treat you worse, and overall life in the game is more of a challenge.

The obvious response is, "That's racist." But it is pretty funny and truthful. I'm sure the NAACP is going to complain, but as a minority o thinking pretty funny.

What do some of you non minorities thunk?

The two best things Booker T has ever done is his "King Booker" gimmick after winning King of the Ring. It was great the he had a terrible fake British accent and called everyone "Peasants."

The second thing was his horrible, but funny, fued with The Boogeyman where he screamed and cried how much he hated, "That Worm Eating Bastard."

Both of those feuds made me laugh, and thus they get a pass.

His commentary is not on that list, but I've heard worse. The truth is we all need Bobby "The Brain" Heenan to not be dead and come and show people how to do great color heel commentary.

The whole Corey Graves "Finding" a video tape of Enzo and Cass was just terrible. So damn terrible that I just asked my wife if she remembered that happening and she went, "Huh... No...!"

The only thing she remembers about Corey Graves isn't his stint in NXT, but the fact that he's never not given money to a tatoo parlor. Look at him, he's a walking back alley tatoo parlor billboard. Or he's helping one particular tatoo artist put his kod's through college.

Either way he's what we got on commentary and he's better than The King verbally sexually harrasing all the female wrestlers every single match.

The commentary choices are slim over at WWE.

JBL was still a problem for the overall environment, but him quitting versus getting fired really doesn't do anything for the environment and culture of bullying at WWE.

Nevertheless, he was just okay on commentary and I'm not saying Corey Graves is a better choice as a heel commentator, but maybe things will just get a little bit better behind the scenes. Like a half rainbow after a bad thunderstorm.

I miss CM Punk. He was great in the ring and on commentary and he was awesome at cutting promos.

Thank you all for posting and keeping the topic going. You know the rules by now. Post anything Geek related. Comic books, video games, music, wrestling, board games, movies, television, etc... As long as it's Geek related or interesting.

Per usual we have an opening question to keep the topic going, and that question is:

"Who is your favorite and least favorite video game protagonist and antagonist? Explain why."

Bonus Question: How could their appearance in the game have been improved to make the experience actually enjoyable?

My reasons to leave and head nortb are pretty obvious.

Better education and schools.
Better economy.
Better diversity and less racism.
Less religion.

Let's tackle these separately.

Education: Mississippi ranks last or near last in education. Outside the coast, where I live, our schools are falling apart. She wants to have kids, and I do too. Which means not raising them in school districts that plain just stink. Plus all the instate colleges are up north. Which leads me to the rest of the problems.

Economy: Either you work at a casino or you starve. Our economy is soley based on casinos and tourism. Even with a college degree you still end up doing crappy back breaking work, or you're under paid for a skilled job. There's no advancement or career opportunities and you're in a dead end job barely surviving.

Diversity: Black man, white woman. Enough said. The South isn't real tolerant of people being different. We get dirty and confused looks everywhere we go. It's annoying and scary because I'm not physically able to protect us any longer if something does arise.

Religion: Better just leave that one alone. However, it's God and football down here. The order of priority depends on the day of the week. God has Tuesday and Wednesday. Football has the other 5 days.

It's just better to leave the deep South.

I can't get my wife to commit to moving out of the deep South. She was born and raised here, and she loves it for some reason. Mainly she wants to be close to her racist parents, who she doesn't see or talk to that often. She's admitted that if we moved then she would probably never really see them again. Which I have to say is not a deal breaker to me.

Because we are on the coast we do have access to the beach, which was nice before I lost my leg and could walk on sand.

And we are super close to New Orleans, which means we have access to one of the best food scenes in America. We also have fresh seafood from the gulf, which too is nice.

However, she loves the weather here. She doesn't want to go too far north because of snow. Like the snow is going to personally attack and freeze her to death. I mean, it could, but so can a damn hurricane. Speaking of which, Hurricane Irma is threatening to kill all life down here again. If it does I'm dragging her ass to Texas whether she likes it or not.

Education is super important and a reason to brag about your state. Being from, and currently living in, Mississippi, I can guarantee that ignoring idiots and stereotypes is a constant.

When I have gone to other states and been asked where I'm from I've had people ask me if I had the Internet, or if we all eat roadkill, or if we had paved roads. My favorite is the person asking, "Where is your southern accent?" The eye roll I give them says it all. Stereotypes either do arise from jealously, hatred, or ignorance.

Granted I did have to go almost 300 miles away to get a good education in my field, but that's because as important as education is, my state doesn't value it as much as other states, or as much as religion.

You tell people you're agnostic and you might as well have kicked them in the balls and stolen their wallet. So yes, education is important because it opens minds and leads to progress, which we in Mississippi sorely lack.

Hell, I see memes all the time from people I went to high school with bragging about how they never have to use algebra in their daily lives, and they are proud of this fact. We have serious problems here and being educated would solve a great deal of them.

I can't even bring myself to finish Iron Fist.

Therefore, I can't or probably shouldn't watch The Defenders. From what you guys said I'm not missing much.

Now that football is back on full swing that is more important than watching bad television to me. When to me I can watch something that is good to me and my wife. Hell, the ICLA vs Texas A&M game was pretty compelling tonight, and no one whined about their Destiny.

Plus I still have a stack of games I need to start or finish. My backlog is scary long, and I still want to add more games to that list.

I'm really enjoying Horizon Zero Dawn. It doesn't hurt that the game is gorgeous. I'm playing it in 4k and it looks and runs amazingly.

The best part is the story. I'm starting to figure out plot points before they happen, but there are parts that still have surprised me.

Then there is the gameplay which is fun too. I spent a good 3 hours last night just hunting dinosaurs and crafting items.

I'm just really impressed and it's good to know that my racist in laws paid for this game. (Christmas Gamestop gift catd.) It just makes my enjoyment that much sweeter.

Since I've been watching a crap ton of Power Rangers on Netflix, instead of playing Horizon Zero Dawn, I got curious about the back stage shenanigans during the second season. The season that they began changing out the cast.

Well, it turns out Haim Sabin is a cheap bastard, and a horrible human beibg.

The actors weren't union, and he didn't pay them scale at all. So when three of them, the yellow, black, and red rangers, wanted more money per episode, and union representation, he replaced them with newer cheaper actors.

Sabin also didn't pay his composer his fair share either. He made the composer on the first 3 seasons use a psydeum so that he wouldn't get credit and thus no royalties for reruns and residuals.

I guess it's smart business practice but horrible human resource practices.

The worse part may be The harassment and bullying he allowed to happen to David Yost, the blue ranger, who is gay, because he is gay. He would ask fellow cast members if Yost was gay, and allowed the crew to call him names.

I'm sure there is more, but man isn't this enough?

The Simpson's fired long time composer Alf Clausen. It was a cost saving effort as using a 32 piece orchestra to score 22 episodes a season can be expensive.

I'm not sure how long The Simpson's has left in its historic run. They just got a contract extension last year, but once that's over so may be The Simpson's.

In good news Ric Flair is in Rehab, (Not foe the booze and drugs) and seems to be out of the woods for the life and death part of his recovery. It's going to be a long journey, but he can recover if he works hard.

However, when I started dating Scarlett I moved out of my old house and I left my computer there with my family.

Somehow the computer got messed up over the years and the topics were lost. Then I got 2 new laptops and didn't need the computer and it didn't matter anymore, except for the spreadsheet.

The lesson is never leave an old computer with your family to take care of, because they aren't going to at all.

Whedon does like his tiny, cutesy, innocent, naive, nerd girls. I mean it's clear that the women he cast in major and minor roles all have a type. There is not even a need for a list at this point.

As for his Twitter tirades.... Whedon strikes me as the kind of person that doesn't like or take criticism too well. Kind of like late 90's to modern George Lucas.

Whedon feels like he is so far above critique that every decision he feels he makes is perfect and should not be challenged. Especially by his coworkers or the fans.

Makes you wonder what tiny, cutesy, innocent, naive, nerd girl, redhead he is going to cast as Batgirl?

Joss Whedon's wife, future Ex wife wrote a blog post on The Wrap about how Joss can't keep his wang in his pants.

Divorce can be very, very, ugly. Therefore, we can take this news with a bit of caution. Even though I have a source that says Joss is a bit of a lady killer, and that the accusations are true. And that he uses his power and fame to get i to actresses' pants or skirt or knickers.

The prevailing thought is never have idols or heroes as they are Human and prone to mistakes. Sometimes you have to separate the art from the artist. Actually most of the time you ha e to do that.

Damn it, I keep coming in here to talk about how Nintendo screwed up the SNES Classic Edition preorders.

Those idiots did preorders in the middle of the night, with no warning, and it was just a mess.

For example, Best Buy said that they didn't have stores within a 250 mile radius of anywhere. How in the hell is that possible when if you walk a block in any direction you run into a bloody Beat Buy?

Also, once again there weren't enough preorders available for the regular people and the scalpers too.

Is it really that hard to limit preorders to one per email or one per ISP? Anyway, another mess.

I would like to point out that Chrono Cross isn't that bad of a game. The problem is that it's instantly compared to Chrono Trigger and that isn't fair. Give Cross a chance, it's a solid game.

Never finished Xenogears, but I love the game. I do actually have a very good reason for not finishing the Xenogears.

I was in college at the time, and Oreon got sick. It was when he lost his testicle. So I spent a lot of time either doing my college work or going to the hospital. Eventually it fell by the way side especially with the mess that was disc 2.

Therefore, Xenogears is a game I need to revisit as well. Same thing with Legend if Dragoon.

It has nothing to do with games or being a geek. We shall always keep it civil in here, and I would like to thank you all for doing that. That's all.

Also, even if Ric Flair lived what kind of remaining life is he going to have? He already has multiple organ failure, heart, liver, colon, and at this point you have to question quality of life versus keeping him alive.

In my circle of close friends we actually do the Four Horsemen pose for wedding pictures. Granted there are 5 of us, but the 4 horsemen always fluffed their numbers anyway. (I'm looking at you J.J. Dillon.)

Damn I'm old to remember J.J. Dillon.

Either way those were good memories with my grandma watching old Mid South Wrestling on Saturday nights.

Hopefully Naitch pulls through.

Speaking of wrestling.

Ric Flair is on his deathbed. There is no way to sugar coat this. The doctors put him In a medically induced coma, and he is out of heart surgery, but his condition is still serious.

Hopefully he can recover, but it isn't likely. He has lived a fun but tough life. Women, drugs, alcohol, and a survived plane crash. The man lived his wrestling character in real life.

I didn't even realize that a lot of people still played or cared about Pokemon Go. At least I didn't until the giant Pokemon Go meet up in Chicago that went horribly wrong.

I'm not sure what people were thinking. Of course it would be a disaster

A small area, thousands of phones, limited bandwidth, limited facilities, equals a recipe for disaster to me.

Sorry you missed the Legendary Pokemon.

I'm getting very close to finishing Tales of Besperia. Maybe two three dungeons away.

I'm thinking of downloading Batman:The Telltale Series, but I don't know if it's any good.

I have Just Cause 3 free off psn, and I have Horizon Zero Dawn as well.

What should play next?

I started Viltron: Legendary Defender this week, and it's been pretty good.

I'm just enjoying the Saturday morning cartoon vibe of the show, and the fun they are having with the series.

I miss Saturday morning cartoons.

Cartoon Network during the day time isn't gettibg it done. It feels like 12 hours of Teen Titans Go. Which is fine for a few minutes, but not al day.

I guess I'm just old. Anyone else miss Saturday morning cartoons?
