Zeus, you're a grown man. Learn how to cook. I love cooking, it may he a southern thing, but I cook on a semi daily basis. It might be because I'm at home all the time, but I find cooking to be fun. The dishes afterwards, not so much. (Zeus, I'm sure you can cook, but don't enjoy it. I assume p.o. can cook well because he gets to test out his various poisons.)

Scarlett is pretty sure she's going to be laid off from her supervisor job at the casino. The good news is that we will be able to catch up on some shows we missed. We also already planned separation time where I get to play video games, and she reads her books or cooks. (See what did there) as she can cook and definitely bake better than I can.

Either way this minimum 8 week quarantine should just be a minor inconvenience. (Until it probably isn't.)

Before this mini apocalypse, I already had a title I wanted to implement, but I guess I'm wondering if I should keep up with the times or stick to our Geek heritage?

It's my house. I just let my family live there, and thus I always considered it my mother's house. Legally it's my house, and it's in my name. My sister, her husband, and her kids fell on hard time, (Self Inflicted) and when I was very sick and in the hospital with my renal failure; I let them move into the house, and 8 years later they still haven't left. It was supposed to be temporary, but a decade isn't temporary at all.

Then my mother got ill, and they used her illness as an excuse/reason to keep livingv their essentially rent free.

Now with my mother passing there just doesn't seem to be a reason for them to stay. Time for my 40 something year old sister to leave the next.

Hard games like Dark Souls or Nioh 1 and 2 are not my cup of tea. I'm just not the type of person to get his jollies from mental pain and suffering. Unless it's the mental pain and suffering of others for my amusement. So, that is my take on the whole genre.

In fun news, I'm at an early dinner with Scarlett, and my brother, not Oreon, called me and ask if I'm willing to help chip in for a bus ticket for my other brother to come to the funeral...

He's not really my brother, just my cousin, but my mon raised him; until he decided that being a career drug addict was a better life than... well anything.

Last year when my brother died he told me he couldn't visit him in the hospital because he was going through some personal problems. (Aren't we all.) Later I find out this idiot transitioned from being a crack head to a meth head, and OD'd a month before our brother died.

A year later and more meth later. (I am proud of him for keeping up with the times, and moving from crack to meth.) He wants to come to the funeral of a woman he disowned after taking him in, and raising him after his mother died.

Then this fool last night text us at 2 in the morning now wanting to play a song at the funeral.

I'm sure this isn't the last fun story I have from this moron or my family before Monday's funeral.

I wasn't planning on going to Europe anyway, but now that I can't go, I suddenly really want to, maybe see the sights in ole Parie.

Oh, if you haven't heard The U.S. has banned international flights to Europe because of Covid 19.

In closer scarier news, the first case of Covid 19 has hit Mississippi in Hattiesburg, which is 45 minutes north of where I live, and a major college town to, but no worries yet.

Hopefully, there will be some good video game related news or geek news in general to talk about very soon.

I went to sleep and woke up to more bad news.

Finally, The state of Missouri is telling Jim Baler to stop selling a a Conid 19 cure. A cure that clearly does not exist. So, there's that.

They cancelled E3 over Covid 19.

At dialysis this morning I now have a mask waiting for me, and have to wash my hands before and after treatment. Also, my chest (where my access is) was wiped down with bleach water before being wiped down with alcohol before getting stuck.

It's not yet time to panic, but the CDC said that at least 70% of Americans will come in contact with Kung Flu. Not get sick, but still.

I'll leave it at that.

My mother's viewing is on Friday, and the funeral is noon on Monday. I'm dealing with it all surprisingly well, but she was ill for quite a while so I guess I'm just more mentally prepared than I was a year ago for my brother passing.

In more bad news; a flight from White Plains New York is set to arrive next week from the current quarantined area. They put my wife in charge of dealing with the flight and people. Hopefully, the flight is canceled, but it might be time for me to panic.

I didn't watch AEW Revolution, but I did watch Wednesday night Dynamite, and Cody; aka Stardust, aka Gravel Rhodes, now has this horrible neck tattoo.

I thought it was just Kinesiology tape at first, but then I realized it was a crappy neck tattoo. What the heck is os he doing to his body with that terrible tattoo? Heck, even MJF called him.out on the tattoo being terrible

Of course being in complete renal failure my immune system is about as useful as a heater in a southern summer.

The biggest fear with the Kung Flu is that Scarlett works in a casino with recycled air, qnd a while bunch of random people visiting from all over the world. She could get the virus and pass it on to me, and I'm deader than Aerith in Final Fantasy VII.

Until this passes she's not even going to let me go into a grocery store, movie theater, or a restaurant. Hopefully, it doesn't spread to Mississippi.

I also assumle P.O. is safe from the Kung Flu because he hates people, and gets his minions or robots or robotic minions to do his work for t him. Meaning he will never come directly in contact with any human with the virus. (As 2 people in New Jersey tested positive for covid 19.)

Living with them is not an option. Mainly because my my sister and her husband are very religious, and my wife and I are not. On top of that they are very lazy, and do not pay their share of the bills already. Bank Robberhas taken up a lot of the slack for their laziness. aPlus, they are thieves and liars. For example, they took out a loan in my mother's name without her permission, and put my number down for the collection when they didn't pay the loan back.

Finally, they owe me several thousand dollars already. Which they have no plans of ever paying me nack.

So, sadly living with them is not an option.

Here's a dilemma. My mother died, which is terrible, super terrible, but there is an opportunity for me to finally move back into my house. My sister, her husband and kids, and Bank Robber are living there with the primary goal of taking care of my mother. That is no longer in play because of her death.

Scarlett and I were looking for a home, but finances with me not working are tight, and we can't qualify. So, we can stay in our current town house or move across town to my paid for house, but kick out my sister and her kids. Now the kids are basically grown 17 and 14. The oldeatvia graduating in May and going to college and living in the dorms.

Do I make my sister and family move out so I can have a better life with my wife, or do I stay where I am and barely keep my head above water, but be a jerk face to my sister and extended family?

What would you do?

I enjoyed The Final Fantasy VII Remake demo a lot. The music and the gameplay are top notch, and the gameplay is stellar. I need more time with the demo because there are still some uses of the battle system and the shortcuts during battle. Because at the Scorpion Sentenal boss at the end is actually tough.

I'm glad that the game is not going yo be easy. It's not going to be impossible, but there will be a challenge.

The remixed music is surprisingly wonderful as I've had the Reactor Core theme stuck in my head for two days now. I was humming it to myself, and Scarlett was like, "Just plaubyje damn demo again."

Anyway, I'm really impressed. Did anyone else play it?

My wife works at a casino. We live in a casino town, and have worked with pretty bad addicts. I know gambling addicts when I see them, and you didn't have a problem. Oh, you have tons of problems, but gambling isn't one of them.

There is a "Big in Japan" sale going happening on the PSN. Scarlett let me buy Trails of Cold Steel. I thought it was because she loved me, but then I found out that it was because she bought herself a nice Peacock Quartz ring. She was feeling guilty for spending extra money, and I got a game for my trouble.

I have just been calling Covid 19, "The Kung Flu." Feel free to tell all your friends and family as Covid 19 is too clinical, and Coronavirus is just a generic name for the class in which the virus is classified.

It might be a little spot on, but the jokes are still pretty solid.

My wife loves Sci Fi even more than I do, and as a compromise to stay married I have to watch Star Trek every night before we go to bed. The last week or so we have been watching the first season of Deep Space Nine. It's not been bad and I haven't watched the episodes since I was in college so a lot of it is new to me. It's not bad at all, and while I'm interested to see Picard I am not paying more money to another streaming service for two shows.

I guess I should clarify woth the whole marriage comment, in terms of I like comedy or cartoons before bed. I would love to watch The Simpsons or 90's Spider-man or X-Men, but Hapoy wife is a happy life. Thus I have to qatvha lot of Star Trek, and oddly Phantom of the Opera.

Marriage is about compromise.

I was too vusy cooking and cleaning to actwally sit down and watch The Oscars, I just always post the Stonecutters song every year, per tradition.

I did finish the original Breath of Fire a few weeks ago, and I'm deep into Breath of Fire 2 now. I only play at dialysis to pass the time as I can't sleep like the others in dialysis. I think I might get the Grandia HD collection next for my dialysis play Sessions.

Yeah, the episode order on the 90's X-Men is jacked up; as well as the 90's Spider-man too. I haven't checked in a few weeks to see if they fixed it yet with updates, but it's clearly out of order... badly.

I watches the big game last night and now football season is over. Unless you count the XFL. I could become a fan, but iI'? already so disappointed in the Dallas Cowboys that I don't need another bout of sadness in my life.

I really don't mind the Chiefs winning the Superbowl because it's not The Patriots again.

Apparently Doctor Who is doing interesting stuff. No spoilers because even I have mor watched the episodes yet myself, but a lot of the internet seems excited. I have, according to the DVR, 16 episodes to catch up on, and that might happen around Christmas 2022.

I watch all the broadcast wrestling shows every week, and The Rumble last night held zero surprises, except MVP returning. MVP coming back was very nice. Edge was not surprising because he was medically cleared months ago. I also spent a good part of the PPV in the bathroom, from the end of the female Rumble to the beginning of the Male Rumble. The cabbage and cornbread did mor agree with my tummy, but it was so delicious.

If you are going to start watching wrestling again please start with NXT or AEW. The other 3 shows, except New Japan are okay or trash. (Impact is just trash.)

Venom wasn't good but it wasn't too terrible. However, once was enough for me. I don't need to see Venom ever again.

I don't care about the emo vampire either. I think Jared Leto will do a solid job as Mochael Morbius, but just like Venom I'm not payng money in theaters to see this, and will just only watch it once when it comes on HBO, which I get for free.

I have not played Magic since before I got really sick in 2014. I had a nice collection going, and then life hit, and I spent those 6 months in the hospital, and in and out of a coma for a few weeks in between. I'm so far behind on expansions that I have no idea what's going on any longer.

I finally hooked up the air fryer, and it is pretty swank. I did some home made frieds last night, and it got the cooked well and crisp without any oil. It's like magic. I'm going to get some cheese sticks this week and really chow down.

How is the new female Doctor Who? I have like 15 episodes saved on the DVR; and I want to know if it is worth my time. The new season is starting, and I have so many other things to watch, like Good Omens, The Boys, and finishing The Mandalorian.

Speaking of Rise of Skywalker, P.O. was right. It turns out that it was Kathleen Lennedy was resp8for changing the screenplay for the film, and bringing The Empreror back. It originally was not the plan, which really should have been the name of this last film.

Although, I like the film a lot still.

A couple of video game related things since sone peeps don't think kitchen. Appliances, dead brother socks, and power tools is Geek enough.

1. I finished the main story in Octopath Traveler today.

It took a long time because it's been a rough year. Anyway, I'm just proud I finished a game. My brother died right in the middle of me playing Spider-man, and I didn't pick up a game for a long time after I finished that game. Now I'm doing the optional side quest dungeons, and I'm having a blast.

2. Because I am handicapped I have the ps4 set up in the bedroom, and I play while I'm sitting on the edge of the bed next to my wheelchair.

The boss lady works a late schedule so sometimes she's asleep when I'm gaining. Other household noises don't seem to bother her, dishes, vacuum, cat death battle at the foot of the bed, but the sound of that ps4 beeping to urn on instantly wakes her up.

She wakes up yells at me and then proceeds to go back to sleep. Never realizing she said anything when I ask her about it later that day.

Last Christmas my brother was recovering in a nursing facility, and they gave out Christmas gifts to all the residents, and they gave him a pair of socks.

Normally not a bad gift, but he had both of his legs amputated earlier that year. He was super upset that they didn't take the time to get him something that he could actually use.

I miss him, and it was shocked to see him upset over something as he never got upset over anything.

I got an air fryer from my in laws. I'm super excited to give it a try this weekend. I too believe getting socks, underwear, and T shirts, power tools, and kitchen appliances are a sign of being an adult, and I gladly accept it all.

I also got a toy Millennium Falcon that the cats have claimed as their own. The toy has lights and makes noises so it's fun and they love it...

Funny thing about that damn toy Millennium Falcon is that I got Resident Evil 2 Remake for Christmas, and I started playing, and all of a sudden the damn Falcon starts to make noises scaring the poop out of me.

It's like the cats know when I'm playing and sense the tension. think they know. I'm sure they know. Yup, they're trying to give me a heart attack because they just did it again.

My brother in law gave us a 25 dollar Amazon gift card. Not sure what to get, but there has to be a cheap video game I can get, or I'm just going to let my wife decide.

But yeah, I don't like gift cards either. They feel lazy and impersonal. Like, "Hey, I like you, but not enough to make the effort to find something personal." Plus, I too forget o have gift cards all the time too. They are just a lazy waste.

What did everyone get for Christmas? I got a fat lip from Oreon as he punched me in the face. Aren't the holidays and family wonderful? He apologized, but compared to getting stuck in the chest with huge dialysis needles every other day a punch in the face is nothing.

I just didn't hate the film like everyone elwe or the Inyetnet. It's not perfect, but I enjoyed it a lot, and look forward to seeing it again for more perspective and reflection, but two days out, and I still think it's a good movie.

I saw Rise of Skywalker last night.

I liked it a lot. A whole lot.

Yes, the pace is insane, and some stuff isn't explained, but it was a good movie.

My friend, Throwback Jersey, said it was terrible after he went opening night. I have not had any expectations since then. The Last Jedi frustrated me, and do I don't see this one being any better.

The firat reactions of, The Rise of Skywalker are in, and the film is doing what i thought it would do, which is spend a great deal of time course correcting from The Last Jedi.

I will see the movie early next week, but I assume that the first 45 minutes will be fixing what Rian Johnson broke, the next 45 will be plot, and the final 20 will be rushed climax to tie everything into a neat bow.

I know I'm not wrong on this one. Which is why J.J. should have written and directed all three films in the first damn place. What do you all think?

I usually wait a year or two and for a few games to come out before buying a new console. The only exception was the 360 when I went to Walmart on day one, and bought one with my brothers. Which is a great memory now that Chris had passed away.

Either way, I'm good with my ps4 until at least 2021, and I might be able to snag a good sell on Black Friday in two years with a Bundle or a nice price drop, but I seriously don't see any new console as a day one purchase any more.

Microsoft revealed the "Sex Box" last night at the game awards.

Sure it's called "The Xbox Series X" but Sex Box has a nice ring to it, and that's what I'm calling it from here forward.

As funny as the Sex Box's name is, the fact it looks like a late 90's mini PC tower is just as funny.

Microsoft nailed it last night. Especially if their goal is to make me laugh, and make a fool of themselves.
