Im guessing its a special assessment fee. Which Ive had when my HoA said they had to fix our roof for the townhouse unit I live in.

my best advice would be to make sure you have a high enough amount for special assessment fees in your insurance plan.

I didnt think home insurance covered this? I am pretty sure I just pay insurance as part of my mortgage and this $10k comes from out of pocket

And yeah its for roof/gutter repairs. I mean its probably necessary and maybe I would have had advance warning if I'd gone to the HOA meetings. But I'm pretty sure no one in the community attends them

As someone that has been on disability from practically since birth I can tell you its pretty easy nowadays to actually check this information. I was jokey jokin' with my earlier post but truth is vast majority of us on disability really do have medicare and/or medicaid insurance cards in our wallets at all times. It'd imagine they could set up a kiosk where you log into whatever state medicaid you (or your kids) got or medicare's website, the pad or whatever they have set up verifies it, you get a little sticker/tag/bracelet/whatever the hell saying you were verified and then you are good to go.

There's definitely disabled folks not on disability/Medicare though, I don't think the Disneyland guys can make that a requirement. Idk how I'd prove it without a doctor's note

BTW trying to follow an Indian recipe is pure madness. There will be like 15 ingredients and like 13 will be spices. And like 2 of them will be available at a typical grocery store.

I made chicken Tikka masala once that just called for a storebought garam masala spice mix. It was still very good but not like restaurant quality. I'm sure at restaurants they are grinding all that shit fresh daily, I don't have time for that lol

A legit technical recruiter would have taken your call and at least dug into your experience with it a bit. For all they know you live and breathe OpenCV in your personal time as a hobby.

Recruiters are vultures. They pressure you to operate on their schedule. They pretend that they're arming you and speed running you into an interview but all you're getting is extra stress and not much time to do your own due diligence.

Yeah, my singular experience with one so far was not good I guess. She pestered me over text to fill out her online portal thing, and had me go through all this just to reject me without a chance a couple hours before our call

Wow I sent my resume over and she cancelled our call like immediately. feels kinda bad i guess, I thought she'd at least want to talk to me even if i wasn't the right fit. My entire work history is on my linkedin so it wasn't anything new...

The role was for some stuff around medical image processing with OpenCV, a field i'm SUPER interested in, and I had an internship doing that exact thing before I got into cybersecurity.

Yes. Most recruiters won't list the company name. Among other things, it prevents you from applying directly to the company which makes the recruiter lose out on pay. They don't get paid until they place someone in a job.

I had a recruiter reach out to me for a job that sounds cool and requires pretty specific skills I happen to have experience with. She had me fill out a profile and upload a resume on some website, and said she would share the job listing after (kinda annoying but ok). She sent it to me this morning (I have a call with her in a few hours), and the company name and salary range is blurred out lol
