My guess is they just spawned where all the spices are. But yes, Indian food is DA BOMB.

BTW trying to follow an Indian recipe is pure madness. There will be like 15 ingredients and like 13 will be spices. And like 2 of them will be available at a typical grocery store.

Homemade Indian food is great. Not much of a fan of the way my dad makes it, but my grandma makes some great curry.

I made chicken Tikka masala once that just called for a storebought garam masala spice mix. It was still very good but not like restaurant quality. I'm sure at restaurants they are grinding all that shit fresh daily, I don't have time for that lol

Get a small food processor. It takes next to no time at all and they are pretty cheap. And it definitely makes a difference versus store-bought mixtures.

Indian food is so fucking good. I make most of my dishes in house. If you have garam masala, that opens the door to so many dishes (but you need to supplement it with other spices).

I wont judge Indian food until I go to a good place. The places around me are terrible. But even they can make the fried Indian food tasty.

You'd be surprised. They might have fresh spices, but it's not a guarantee they're made in the kitchen. Plenty of places will sell to restaurants, though that supply chain (to the good ones) will be geographically short, I'd imagine.

This came from a cookbook of authentic Indian recipes that a good friend gave me. It was the first Indian food I ever learned to cook.

Holds a special place in my stomach and my heart.
