It's like Brothers in Arms, Full Spectrum Warrior, Xcom and anime all rolled up into one or something like that, idk.

Both 1 and 4 are amazing games that should have been bigger hits.

I have VK4, and hated it. I have less than 5 hours in it. Fuck that game.

I like the first game, but I hear a lot of the hate for the sequels. Are any of the sequels decent at least? First game is hard, but easy once you figure out you can use Orders.

I like the first one, definitely underrated for its time but after Xcom 1 and 2 I dont think I could go back to it.

I enjoyed 1 and 4, but I feel like 4 was exponentially easier to get the highest ratings on the maps. Most of the time I was able to get it on my first playthrough of a map, and when I didn't I was able to see the mistake I had made and get it the second time. In 1 it sometimes took 4 or 5 tries of trial and error to get the highest rating.

I liked 1 more than 4. But the concept of grenadiers was definitely a nice addition to the game. I don't like the morale boosts though, some maps you could totally cheat. I forgot which one it was but you have to save Raz and Kai I think? who are surrounded by enemy units. So...I sent in a scout to sprint all the way to them. He died walking there, but then he morale boosted stood up and walked through like 50 grenadiers, shock troopers and scouts shooting at him because he was invincible standing up. This guy saved Raz and Kai. I don't know how but when he made it to them filled with bullet holes and collapsing on his knees and keeling over in front of them, they declared they were saved by the freaking cavalry. While the rest of my units were still at the start.

I decided to never use that tactic again. But boy was it hilarious for that mission.

I played 1 for the first time earlier this year and loved the hell out of it. Want to play the sequels next year (even the supposedly bad 2 & 3, yeah. If I don't like them I'll drop them).

I finished valkyria chronicles 1, it was a good game but my expectations were too high and i was disappointed

Im partway through valkyria chronicles 4, got stuck on some mission where you have to shoot some bombs before they drop on your land battleship

Decided to put the game on hold until i finish three houses

I love the art style and have always been a fan of tactical RPGs.
