A ceasefire is an extended period with no fightng. Humanitarian pauses are repeated, short windows without fighting.

So a ceasefire would be like... "no fighting until this meeting takes place." A humanitarian pause would be "don't shoot at cars on this road between 10 and 11AM each Tuesday so aid convoys can get to camps"

This is weird to me. I mean it's nice if they accept these kinda terms. But it's weird in the sense of "ok I'll hold off for right now but tomorrow I'm definitely gonna try to kill you"

On the effort part I mean wooing them seducing them or whatever. I have driven 3 hours before to get some dick but that was a guaranteed thing. But I also don't like doing all that either. I can do that anytime I want but I haven't in years. Hell only reason I'm considering making that drive again is cause this time it would be a threesome

As far as "barely legal", it feels borderline. I also have an aversion to legal documents being thrown in as a plot for a romance/sex after hearing of slave/master contracts in BSDM circles. It just freaks me out.

Idk why but reminded me of Chapelle making fun of the r.kelly scandal and doing a skit on how he supposedly shoulda done the video. Girl was holding up her Id while being pissed on

Dude, Forza 1 was fuckin' amazing. It was the best racer of that gen, straight up. I loved GT from 1-4 up to that point, but FM1 was god-tier for a racing game of that era. The selection of cars/tracks, the great physics, damage modeling, customization features... oh, and online play! GT still hasn't caught up.

Though, to be fair I have to admit that the only reason I ever powered on an Xbox was to play FM. PS library has always been far and away the strongest for me, followed by Ninty. 360 didn't offer me too much, Xbone less, and I didn't even own an OG Xbox. I played it on 360, since it was BC. FM1 was at least well before there were PC ports of them (FM6 was the first).

Also had jade empire which was like a more serious fable.

Cool thing about the lc9 is it had a tab that pops up if you got a round in the chamber. That way you know if one is chambered or not. Still practice safety though even if it says it's empty. I just like it for knowing one is indeed there so I know I ain't got to chamber one.

I've ejected bullets a few times not thinking one was in the chamber.

Wonder how fortune fares against hand to hand combat though. Boss could get close enough to her to disarm her if hand to hand isn't affected by her tech.

I understand that they have good intentions, and its true that every kid does learn differently but those good intentions seem kinda fucked in execution.

It's the equivalent of asking for directions and 10 over-eager locals all bombard you with completely diffent directions at the same time. This confuses you, takes you all over town and makes you an hour late to your very important appointment. Only to find out that it was 15 minutes away, 2 blocks down and the 3rd building on the left.

I think they should teach the various methods but let the kid decide which works for him and then just grade them on if they got the right answer.

Hell I remember arguing with a teacher. They docked points cause my work was wrong despite my answer being right. I did the work right in my head I just wrote it down wrong by mistake.

I might argue that in today's world, being able to do it mentally is more valuable than being able to do it on paper. In almost any situation where you're doing math on paper, you'll have a calculator available to do it for you. Estimating/calculating mentally, however, is the basis of the common sense checks you should be doing after any larger-scale calculations, can help quite a bit with any accounting/bookkeeping process to track down any discrepancies you find, and saves the hassle of pulling out a phone to do things like calculate sales taxes or double a recipe.

Of course, at the same time, doing more complex math problems on paper is the basis for that mental exercise part of teaching math in schools, so students should still be getting a foundation that prepares them for that. It's a tricky balance, I guess.

I don't have a calculator at work. We work in the stone age over here. I used to bring in a old Casio calculator watch (I'm shocked they still make em) but during the summer the cheap wristband would irritate my wrist when I started sweating.

Fortunately all we do is simple addition. We have to count 4 rooms of inmates and add it together. Max of 34 inmates to a room for a max total of 136 in the building. I don't trust doing it in my head though so I do it on paper.

I can do it in my head but if you fuck up it's a headache. Instead of them just telling me my math is wrong noooo I gotta recount them all over again and now my boss is mad at me for fucking count up.

Actually surprised I remember how to do it on paper. I haven't done it that way since elementary school.

Hell the boss would monologe them to death too.

Think battleground would matter. If it's somewhere like the flower field where she ultimately lost to big boss I think she'd thrive with sneak attacks. I honestly feel she only lost that fight cause her heart wasn't in it.

Soul caliber 2 also had link. The best guest character the franchise has ever had imo. Not just in terms of oh cool its link but he was the most fun to play.

I had soul caliber 2 for all 3 consoles but my friends and I always played the GameCube version.

Best friend and I would have epic battles. Link vs link 200% health 5 rounds caged arena and great fairy swords. (For those unfamiliar cage prevented ring outs and great fairy sword caused constant health regen) matches would last like 45 minutes.

God losing just barely after a 45 minute slug fest hits way harder than a normal loss. But a victory like that also felt so much better.
