Dude when I played HCTP.. a lot.. might still be in my top five most hours put into a game to this day, I used to HATE Rhyno. Literally no reason. I kinda watched wwe and rhyno was always just there, often as a jobber, but then for some reason one day I was like.. actually I kinda love this dude. I loved his fake ass spear, cant remember the name right now, and I loved using his special because it didnt have a cutscene animation in the game it was just a BLAM move.

I wish I could play HCTP again

I have made probably hundreds of caws

This is my favorite Rhyno quote ever:

"I tell people that nobody has ever kicked out of The Gore. And you can see the wheels turning, and you can tell they're thinking 'Wait, but what about...' and I say 'If they kicked out, it was a Spear I hit them with, not The Gore.'"

He's also the one that figured out how to make Edge spearing... Jeff? Hardy in that ladder match happen. The guy is pretty much a wrestling genius, but he's also humble as fuck.

I love how I keep forgetting that Dean Malenko was a cruiserweight, because he was just so fucking talented in general that you forget he was a cruiserweight since he didn't really fit the mold they pushed, with people like Dragon/Mysterio/La Parka/Psicosis/etc. It made you appreciate how varied the division could be.

Ah yes los Villanos. Barely remember them for some reason.

How can you not remember the Villanos? They introduced the famous Villano Switch, where the legal man and the non-legal man would switch places and trick the opponent, without the ref realizing, since they looked alike (outside of the roman numeral on their attire). This was later also used by the Bella Twins.

This is rhetorical, by the way. The Villanos were barely featured. I just loved the Villano Switch.

Wait, are you saying not to chug alcohol anally is an "absurd" thing to teach? I'm so confused. Though, to be quite honest, I feel like I wouldn't normally ever even think to chug alcohol anally, anyway, and I certainly never thought it was a good idea, based on videos, or friends, or anything, so I'm... I understand if you want to remain vague, but I have to ask. Are you from the Chicago area? I grew up watching Son of Svengoolie but thought it was strictly a local thing. If it was broadcast to a larger area that is cool to know.

I grew up in northern Ohio, Canton-Cleveland area. Then I briefly lived in eastern Kentucky, and now Las Vegas. Svengoolie has been a thing in all locations, typically appearing on MeTV.

I get the confusion, since it legitimately does feel like such a local thing, but he really is a rather nationally known entity.

This is also true.

I have a shirt of AEW wrestler Danhausen, and somebody the other day was like "Is that a Svengoolie shirt?" And it's not, but the design is like, blatantly based on Svengoolie, since the character is also based on them, and it got us talking because we both like Svengoolie, and it was a pleasant conversation while we were both waiting in line. It was a fun conversation that the t-shirt caused, even though it wasn't actually directly related.

Same. I absolutely love graphic tees. Nobody judges anybody on their graphic tee, unless you're wearing one in some kind of fancy environment where a t-shirt isn't expected... But even then, it's not because of the content of the tee, it's because you're wearing a tee in a place nobody else is, to begin with.

I have several gaming related t-shirts I got from a several month subscription to Lootwear several years ago. One is a Wily skull made out of various Mega Man game sprites, one is Punch-Out related, one is a kinda neat artistic Bowser in Koopa Clown car, etc. I wear them whenever I feel like without really caring much, because they're just graphic tees. And, honestly, I've actually had several people go "That shirt is so cool" over the years. I don't think anybody has ever judged me negatively, and if they did, I didn't know it, and wouldn't have cared if they did.

That MK shirt is absolutely one I think would get the "That shirt is so cool" response.

EDIT: Basically, anybody who knows what it is clearly knows video games, and it's "OG shit." Likewise, anybody who doesn't know what it is will just assume it's... Random faces, and it's not some kind of "cringe" design or anything, it'll just mean nothing to them.

tl;dr: If you like it, wear it. Own it.

Also, I do need to amend my thoughts. I thought the "big logo" belts were the Raw belts. Realizing they're the Smackdown ones, I feel like that loses the thematic notion I thought they were going for, since... To this day, everybody considers Raw the bigger brand. So then, yes, I agree that the big logo belts are just kinda... Bad.

EDIT: That said, there are definitely people out there that like them, so I get why they kept that design. Some people just like less "busy" belts.

It's extremely subjective. Some people love the "Big gold belt" look where you see a ton of gold and don't even necessarily see all of the design half the time. Other people love thematic belts that fit the character, like the Smoking Skull belt for Steve Austin, the Brahma Bull belt for The Rock, etc. Some like the more simplistic "logo" designs because they consider them less gaudy. It tends to depend on when you first started like wrestling.

I'm a late 80s/early 90s baby, so I love me some Big Gold Belts, which is why I love these tag titles, for example.

I'm torn on this. Design-wise, they're definitely worse. That said, thematically, it makes sense for the logo to be larger on those belts, since you're literally THE champion/s of the company. Bigger logo = bigger value is a thematic choice I don't immediately hate.

Reading the article is so fucking depressing.

Dr. Julie Madsen, a physician who said she has provided various telemedicine services in Idaho, was testifying in opposition to the bill. She said some colonoscopy patients may swallow a small device to give doctors a closer look at parts of their colon. One such device, known as a PillCam, has been successfully used after research studies including one at Stanford University in 2008.
"Can this same procedure then be done in a pregnancy? Swallowing a camera and helping the doctor determine what the situation is?" Barbieri asked.
Madsen replied that would be impossible because swallowed pills do not end up in the vagina.
"Fascinating. That makes sense," Barbieri said, amid the crowd's laughter.
The committee approved the bill 13-4 on a party-line vote

Doctor, opposing the bill: "...No. Of course not. That's fucking stupid.
Crowd: "*Literally laughs at how stupid the question was*"
Republicans: "We're going to pass the bill, anyway."

Having watched both the anime (Granted, I'm halfway through Dressrosa, currently) and the live action series, I think I prefer the live action's pacing SO MUCH more. Yes, you lose certain characters, and some things don't hit quite as well... But I'll be damned if it didn't tell the basic story in a condensed enough nature that pretty much anybody could get into it, and I still loved every second of it, even having already far passed the story points it hits, in the anime.

It's absolutely the case, though.

Obviously not literally EVERYWHERE, but... If you have an "in" to a certain company, you're definitely much more likely to be hired, qualifications be damned, than anybody else. "Who you know" absolutely matters.

It's not the end all, be all, since... Obviously, not every job is going to have a "who you know" scenario. Not even most jobs, necessarily. That said, it absolutely exists, in enough of an amount that it's noteworthy.

And there are several reasons why. Could be nepotism, could be... Yes, hiring a known quantity is actually better than not. There are several reasons why it might occur.

It's ice cream, but it's super thick, and regularly includes copious amounts of some kind of candy, such as Oreo, Reese's Pieces, etc.

On average, the candy to ice cream ratio is a decent bit higher than found in most regular ice creams, and the thick texture also tends to provide a sensation of feeling like you're eating something heavier than you actually are.
