No... imessage is not SMS. Its it's own thing like Snapchat or WhatsApp. Apple just integrates it into the default messaging app. That's why we have green bubbles vs blue bubbles.

Imessage uses SMS as a default. Yes, it's something built ON TOP of SMS, but if you aren't sending to another Imessage phone, it just uses SMS. There's no difference to the actual user.

RCS does NOT do this. RCS requires a Google server.

Imessage is something that leverages SMS to the fullest, but any phone can use SMS texting. Google wants to kill SMS and force people to use RCS, which is run by Google servers.

not really imo. lebron back to cleveland was free agency iirc. and lebron to miami was a sign and trade at the end of a contract. which is basically you might as well trade lebron to where he wants to go or he could just not sign and leave in free agency and they'd get nothing anyway. kind of what people were talking about around the trade deadline this season. shaq didn't want to leave. lebron did. pretty different to me.

What the player wants is entirely irrelevant vs. what happened, though. Shaq ended up being part of a super team. LeBron intentionally left a super team to try to lead a weaker team to a championship. If somebody hates the idea of "super teams," then they should hate Shakobe, regardless of how it came to be. Saying "super teams" only became a thing recently is just bias.

Apple vs. Android is pretty much a thing only perpetuated by the Android side, and it's caused almost entirely by Google purposely trying to change how texting works entirely just to try to bank a monopoly off of it. There was literally no reason to change how your common texting works, since if you want anything more, plenty of apps already exist. Google be greedy, though. Apple are the ones who want to stick with traditional texting, and leave anything fancier to apps. Google/Android are the ones that are trying to do away with traditional texting completely, in favor of Google server sided apps.

The PvP gameplay is definitely peaking now in the SwSh and SV era, since it's much more accessible than ever, and so you're getting more varied gameplay styles than before. That's one thing modern Pokemon is absolutely doing right.

That's basically the same as Lebron wanting to win a championship for Cleveland, and ultimately coming back to do so, just with less steps. The only difference is Lebron got his wish, and he basically made it happen by taking a pay cut to return.

To be fair, I felt like he was portrayed this way in the movie, too. The movie just happened to be a "His pro-Kahndaq motivations happen to align" kind of situation, but I also atleast felt it sorta implied this could lead to him being a "villain" later, too.

I wonder how realistic an expectation it would be to have the yellow paint as an optional toggle, so people who want/need it can turn it on and have it applied to climbable surfaces, and people who don't can just turn it off.

I agree it would have been better to be able to turn it off, but I also understand not thinking such a toggle needs to exist, and that people that don't like it should be able to just... Ignore such a minor part of the game.

I wouldn't have been mad either way, atleast.

This is the problem, though. You know BOTH are bad on the Palestine issue, but by not voting, you are willingly not only saying you're okay with the potential of a negative on the Palestine issue, but also OTHER issues, such as LGBT, women, the environment, and so on, too. Taking the "principled" stance of not voting is, in practice, saying "I don't actually care, because neither impact ME directly," since... It's well known what not voting could cause.

EDIT: It's like the trolley problem. Taking one track kills one person, taking the other track kills four people. If you take the "principled" choice of not doing anything at all, and the trolley crashes and kills all five people, well... You did not take a principled action at all.

In my last run of Crystal (a few years ago), I used a Graveler and Kadabra all the way until Red. Even without being able to trade, the mid evolutions still put in a lot of work. Next time I play Pokemon though I'll probably get a mod or something that allows for getting trade evolutions...without trading. Trade evolving just feels like a terrible mechanic overall. The popular Pokemon Randomizer already let's you do this.

Oh, absolutely. The mid evos do work. The fully evolveds just wreck... Everything. But you're right, I remember using Graveler and Machoke in my GSC run, too.

And, yes, I absolutely recommend any and all mods that allow you to evolve without trading. They're a blast.

The crazy thing is that since FR/LG are also pre-split, Hitmonchan doesn't get to wreck the game until Let's Go.

EDIT: I'm specifically referring to RBY, to be clear, since you can be given one via the fighting dojo, which you can get to fairly early. You could argue HG/SS, but I think you can't get Tyrogue until later in the game, though I may be wrong on that.

The Brilliant Diamond/Shining Pearl E4 is the hardest, but no one played it so no one knows that.

I loved BD/SP for what it was. I get people wanted more, but if you get past that disappointment, it's pretty much what people wanted out of more modern Pokemon games: An actual difficult experience.

I don't agree with this. For a few reasons.

Dealing with Lance isn't that bad. Gen 2 lets you buy Ice Punch, which goes nicely on Kadabra/Alakazam, Feraligatr, Jynx, Slowbro, etc. You are also given Icy Wind from beating Pryce. If you are playing Crystal, you will almost certainly have Suicune that learns Aurora Beam at Level 41. Lapras is also an option although requires a guide/info to know how to get it.

As for having a team of shitmons...you are forgetting that the game is generous in terms of the Gen 1 Pokemon that you can get. Gen 2 Pokemon are surprisingly more rare, but there are a few good picks. Before facing the Elite Four, you do have a fair selection including...

Normal Type: Tauros, Miltank, Ursaring
Fire Type: Typhlosion, Magmar, Entei, Ho-Oh
Water or Ice Type: Gyarados, Feraligatr, Lapras, Suicune, Lanturn, Jynx, Mantine
Electric Type: Ampharos, Lanturn, Raikou
Psychic Type: Kababra/Alakazam, Jynx, Espeon, Luiga
Fighting Type: Machoke/Machamp
Ground or Rock Type: Graveler/Golem, Donphan
Dark Type: Umbreon

Luiga and Ho-Oh you can only get before the Elite Four in Silver/Gold respectively. As for the Legendary Beasts, outside of Suicune in Crystal, the game gives you a Master Ball for a reason. Use it on whichever one you want.

I'm sure I'm forgetting a few more viable picks, but that's just off the top of my head. Pick a few and you are good to go.

This reminds me that one thing I love is how consistently good the Gen 1 trade Pokemon have been, atleast for in-game. Later trade mons haven't necessarily lived up to their precedent, but all of Golem/Alakazam/Gengar/Machamp basically mow down any game you can get them in.

I'll never forget when Machamp got No Guard, so that things like Dynamic Punch couldn't miss, which just made him utterly broken for the regular game.

I remember Hitmonchan being the biggest "Screw you, pal" pitch thrown in Gen 1. He seems amazing because he gets those elemental punches, and you think "Oh man, the coverage!" But then they work based on the Special stat.

She wasn't fired, they just didn't renew her contract. She has no actual standing. Granted, what you quoted doesn't apply, regardless. It had nothing to do with her politics, and everything to do with specific things she said.
