There's content locked behind getting all emblems, though. I don't like Chao Garden, and their existence pretty much meant I'd never get to any of that.

There's content locked behind optional things in other games, too. If you don't need to do it to beat the game, it's optional.

I'd attribute it more to the lack of Goldblum, Ruffalo, and Hiddlestone and not having those characters. Here Korg has to do most of the heavy comedy lifting.

That's fair, too, yeah. It's lacking some of the more comedic characters.

Overall the movie is light and breezy, but the jokes don't land as consistently as I would've liked.

I think the issue here is that the jokes hit so well in Ragnarok because we weren't expecting it, given the previous Thor movies. Now we are, so doing the same style isn't as effective.

No I am just fed up with hearing this in the last month or so
I have no idea why people decided to bring that up so much lately

Also I am not sure it was optional, IIRC you had to do the Chao races to get some emblems so...

So, in other words, optional, since 100%ing a game pretty much always involves doing optional things.

People are bringing it up because we're getting close to a new Sonic game coming out again, and they want to talk about things they liked from previous games, as usually happens.

One thing I like is, unlike some other shonens, it lets you know immediately who the strongest characters are and therefore who will have the most feats. Pretty much any time another character witnesses one of Luffy/Zoro/Sanji fight, they're basically like "I don't even try to mess with them, they scary, we have nothing to worry about." There's nothing I dislike more than when a shonen lets you get attached to a character before letting you know "yeah we don't actually care about this one."

I don't think acidity necessarily makes things taste sour, though I'm not super educated on the topic and I would imagine it depends a lot on what else is in it (sugars, flavorings, etc). Maybe a good experiment would be to taste test sparkling water against two glasses of still water -- but not tell the participants that one glass of still water is actually rainwater, which is much closer in pH to sparkling water than tap water

in any case i can't taste it so it's fake to me

Something something science.

The higher the acidity, the more hydrogen ions, and hydrogen ions trigger the "sour" reaction from our taste buds, or something like that.

Maybe it appears like Marvel movies take up more screens because theaters in general have gotten bigger over time and have more screens to begin with, but I bet the actual percentage taken hasn't gone up all that much. I remember being a kid and having to call around to theaters to see if you could find one playing a certain movie, since everything close only had a handful of screens. Like, I remember the closest one had four, and only ever showed up to three movies at one time because the biggest movie at the time always took up two, or sometimes even three, depending on what it was. The example that I always remember was the Jim Carrey Grinch taking up three of the four screens.

It is a legit problem that cinemas are shutting out smaller films from screens to make way for Marvel films though. The films are still there but they are getting harder to see in a cinema. Its not really Marvels fault though.

I'm honestly not even sure this is all that true, since that has always been the case for blockbusters and has been happening since atleast the late 90s.

I'd say this is accurate. With so many shows/movies available, people don't have the attention spans they used to. It's much easier to see one single thing about a show you like less, and drop it completely for another show.

Many of the biggest action stars today are 50 or older. We just haven't replaced them with anyone else equally bankable yet.

While this is a fair point, it's not always a guaranteed mega hit. Expendables, for instance, didn't make nearly as much as Maverick has.

I do like the fact that a movie where three of the four top billed actors are over 50 was such a big hit.

I do think it says a lot about good actor longevity, in that you don't need the latest BIG HIT young actor/actress to be a hit.

Granted, Marvel has been doing that, too. Not necessarily with over 50 actors, but Chris Evans, for instance, was not lighting up the box office prior to Captain America.

Furthermore, if "Katie" got a spot, she logically would have put that spot number as her spot, so they would have logically brought both orders to her, not one to her and one to you, with them being in the wrong order.

That's why I didn't do the drive-thru, though. I picked the fastest route (curbside) and skipped the drive-thru, and that's usually 5 minute wait minimum. The drive-thru here usually has 10+ cars in it during lunch rush so that's a lot longer than 5 minutes, let alone 2.

I doubt explaining what went wrong, the employee walking back in, explaining to a manager and getting the food redone in 2 minutes was possible. If I was at the window or actually in the restaurant, yeah, I would have tried to correct it. Even though it wasn't their fault. When you get a curbside order, they usually tell you the name for the order or the order's contents to let you know what you're getting. So this lady knew it wasn't her order based on either what they told her and/or when she looked in the bag.

Well, now I'm confused. If you did curbside, how did she "cut you off?" Sounds like McDonald's just screwed up in general. Curbside shouldn't matter what order you park in. "Cut me off" implies you did go through the drive-thru. Also, if you knew the bag was wrong yet didn't do anything about it, why do you expect her to have done something about it? Iunno, man. I need to Phoenix Wright this shit, something doesn't add up.

EDIT: What if the first woman wasn't Katie? What if she was Diane? What if you stole Katie's order? IT ALL UNRAVELS!

also my fears have been confirmed, I am not feeling the Krasinski version of Reed. I really hope this was just a fun one-off goof and they get someone else for the main universe. I just cant believe him as the smartest man on Earth.

I actually thought he was great, since besides being the smartest man on Earth, there's gotta be a level of smugness/arrogance that the actor needs to hit without it being overbearing, and I thought Krasinski did it very well. Like, there's a sweet spot with Reed where he isn't your typical movie arrogant, but he basically knows what he is and he's extremely confident in that, almost to a fault, so you need somebody that can play that up.

EDIT: I've always felt that with Reed, it's more important to have somebody that can play the role of believing they're the smartest/being very confident in that, over somebody who can just play the actual intelligence itself.
