The facial injuries were pretty bad and it was visually impaired by the infection. Might've been hit by a car or something.

I was walking to get some last-minute supplies from the Rite Aid down the street when I saw a squirrel hunched over under a tree, protecting its face, and refusing to move. It was aggressive but I gave it a box for protection. Animal control didn't want to do anything. My sister, who rescues pit bulls, raccoons, etc, hooked me up with the local wildlife rescue teams and a squirrel rehabilitator who hauled ass over in the snow.

The little guy made it and is now in good care.

It's just below top tier but it never disappoints when it tries to tangle with them.
