RchHomieQuanChi 02/09/22 3:29:46 PM #55:	I think Boba Fett as a benevolent crime lord could have worked, but I think the execution could have been done better. And it's mainly because the "crime" aspect isn't really emphasized at all. Granted, it probably needed to be toned down anyway if Mando and the other good guys were gonna be on board but Boba should have still been just as feared as a crime lord as he was as a bounty hunter. I really didn't even mind his motivation for going this route. Realizing that the galaxy's bounty hunters are just disposable pawns for asshole crime lords and wanting to ditch that way of life, in tandem with his near-death experience and his experience with the Tusken Raiders is a cool route to take his character. But there just wasn't enough of a smooth transition between his ruthless, coldhearted bounty hunting days and his "rule through respect, not fear" persona to make it fully believable. So it comes across looking like they just Disney-fied Boba Fett. But if I'm being truly honest....while Boba Fett is definitely an awesome character, Mando is kind of just a much better version of him as far as being a character to center a story around. --- I have nothing else to say <cite>RchHomieQuanChi posted [p:962499950] in The Book o... Episode 4 was a great Slave I episode. I much prefer the rancor to deal with the droids, honestly. That was some amazing stuff, watching him batter and slam and hurl those bots around. Didn't get the sense this show got that They made him a little too much of a lame brain. Boba Fett in the original series was like a tiger. It stalks you and sneaks up on you, but if you catch it .. you shoot it and it's dead. Absolutely terrifying predator but still just a dumb animal at the end of the day. No match for a Jedi. Boba Fett in this series was the polar opposite. He looks kinda lame but ended up doing a bunch of cool stuff, and has a lot of bass in his voice. Not really near what the original had. Bulky. On the other hand Cad Bane was far too cool to die in his first live-action appearance. Especially to the absolute lamer that is Boba Fett. I'm like 90% sure the mouth was real, at least. Those teeth and lip movements looked way too real to be cgi.
