Sounds fun! What's the catch? Yes, it's true, FFXIV is a paid subscription game. $12.99 a month minimum.

I don't know... is there a free trial? Absolutely! https://na.finalfantasyxiv.com/ They just updated the free trial to include all of A Realm Reborn and Heavensward. Yes, really! You can play 2 entire games, completely free, at no cost, no time limit! Every quest, class, dungeon, raid, everything between 2.0 and 3.55, completely free! Forever!
Waitwaitwaitwaitwait. Can someone please explain this? Was it already explained?

You literally said it was 12.99 a month and then confused me on whether it was either free or had a free trial, or not.

She's not deaf
I don't get it.

Does that mean you want a deaf girl?

I mean, I've known more than a few deaf people in my life

And while I don't speak ASL fluently, they can be interesting people if you get to know them well

It's just I don't really know what/how they're thinking all the time besides interpreting their demeanor/expression lol

Sometimes I'm even envious, as there can be many things or people I don't wish to hear at all (but I'd totally miss music)

Earplugs usually do the trick, though

Anyway, I have a sort of soft spot for the less able/functional people that I kind of can't avoid (whereas some people are just rude about it or make jokes) because they're still people just like anyone else

If someone is using it to intentionally or happens to incidentally piss someone off, and is aware of it, that's completely different

Reminds me of the guy getting smacked with the soda can video

I mean you'd just be asking for it at that point, like if you're using a word to "fit in" or "be cool" or then you just keep on saying it to "put it in their face"

Some people are just used to saying it casually, and non-offensively, without repercussion

But it's a non-essential habit, considering all the controversy, I must admit

For anyone, because that's how my stance on this works

If you actually adopted it's usage without racial bias, then everyone is that word

...but you don't actually have to say it around people... or at all

but it comes out sometimes, mainly if I'm just thinking lazily

or hazily

or offended

but that's kind of how some words work

They just come out

anyway this is too much usage scenario description for such a simple word

imo

ill just stop now

also i know y'all saw that filthy frank video and i just thought it was hilarious

it depends how many black people are around

lolnojk because i dont actually give that much of a fuck

If you actually subscribe to the only a certain type of person can/should say a certain word type of thinking, youre basically saying that certain portions of vocabulary can only be owned/utilized by certain types of people

When anyone can do whatever they want

Its basically just guy or dude, though not something you would throw around if you care about the PC comfort of your immediate listener

I actually considered using yiff instead of fuck unironically just for the hilarious factor

Go yiff yourself, PC culture

And (welp, were already on the topic so nothing is TMI) sometimes Id have erections that just were too much to the point it HURT and Im just like God! What am I supposed to do about this!?

lets just say I didnt take sex ed at homeschool

I mean, not that the topic wasnt attempted to be taught

but being that shy ass prudish kid in the country I still remember the day I was presented a piece of paper with diagrams of different organs

and I was like EWW GROSS -tosses the page and refuses to study such-

I mean I was just kind of ignorant but anyway

The times came where it became a normal thing, yeah, of course

And I never had a second thought about whether it affected me negatively or not

But as I got older, I realized

Its a waste of my soul, man!

So when youre younger it probably doesnt make a fuck of a difference

But its not like an unavoidable necessity anymore, either

Unless youre like. On stuff that makes it so. But then youre losing even more of your soul

Plus, it doesnt even feel like a solo experience anymore, theres always some piece of shit paranoia presence fucking everything up

So Im just like fuck yall, Im done

Stopped like a month or two ago, once again, cause its like the dude above said about being on your A game

But Im not worried about attracting females or whatever, its more about a basic sense of being able to enjoy life

Theres not as much euphoria, you (I) dont enjoy things as much, and it seems more difficult to even interact with people (Anxiety)

Which is weird, because it doesnt have anything to do with anyone else

But now there are no excuses, so if other people act weird around me, they can kiss my ass, cause Im not the one masturbating

You can still have dreams, anyway, and not have to feel like shit afterwards

But what I am about to do is toast a shell/make a taco out of the fireplace

kinda feels like we are in a log cabin in the woods so thats pretty cool (just taking it easy)

They both could be equally as dangerous, or relatively harmless - but I voted spider, because things like Tarantulas, no way bro. I don't know if I could get accustomed to them. My dad had one when I was little, though. (I do have to admit, though, they are fascinating creatures)

Replaying as you call it was never part of the equation. This was pre covid but most people I dealt with until last year were tourists. They would only be looking for hookups before they went back to whichever country they came from. A few I saw more than once if they were staying a while, but that wasn't often. Even with one offs it was still long enough for me to get a sense of the kind of people they were. Some were clearly no use. More than once I got compared "favourably" to other locals since I didn't act how they perceived us all to be (bad mannered, thuggish, only looking for money etc). I had my own issues with locals but those bad kinds were in the minority. You could say these visitors were ignorant since they didn't know much about us and were only here for fun. Others didn't have that excuse because they were expats living and working here.

Also your grandfather is black? Are you white? It seems a lot of white Americans have black extract and don't know. I mean it should be obvious why with the slave history and all.
I see... I actually missed this post

I am very white skinned, quite pale, but as far as ethnicity goes - and forgive me if I explain it sloppily for lack of extensive knowledge - My mom's side of the family is Puerto Rican. Her grandparents (my great grandparents) both from Puerto Rico. Her father I believe is what one refers to as Louisiana French? Or Creole? I don't know, I always get confused about it - But he is a lighter skinned black man from Louisiana - who was not in her, or my own life, for the greater part of it. We had to "rediscover" him after she finally came around and told the story - I faintly remember her finally coming forward about the origins, she kind of paused and she was like "and he, is actually...." and i was like

"black?"

"Yes"

Which I mean is kind of a "DUH." thing since I grew up with a black cousin/uncle.

So anyway, she came out light skinned (i just figured we were white people with Puerto Rican origins), and her brother came out dark ("black"), and then she has another brother from a different guy (same mom) who was German but that's another branch.

So my dad's side is whatever flavor of Caucasian they happen to be, white people country folks, I hear maybe his dad has Polish, there are even stories about pirates and I'm not really sure, but his mom is also from Louisiana I believe. And we are from Texas.

I did some of that ancestry.com digging stuff and to no surprise (but a bit of a revelation), there were slave owners on my dad's side of the family

And with another thing to note, his grandpa, my great grandpa, they say, was a Freemason! Which might have something to do with why my life is so weird, but I would have no idea because obviously, I don't know much about it/them, except for the fact that the idea of secret societies weirds me the hell out.

So the roots are kind of all over the place, but that's the gist of it

Hispanic, black, white, it's kind of a tossup

Oh right, those weren't the only children, she has at least two other black siblings, by her dad, but not by her mom, as far as I can remember.

I've told all this stuff at least once before, but here it is again

More brainwave-based technologies

I know they have that stuff where you can like, think of something and the thing can interpret what you're thinking of as a control mechanism... However that works

But I'm talking about taking it to an advanced / mainstream level

Telepathic headbands even, maybe, so that you don't actually have to talk to people, you can think with them

Suck at drawing? Music? Cut out the composition parts and use your imagination to draft something

Just more input/output technology to interface directly with one's senses

Here's an example: you have this catgirl, right

But she can't twitch her ears or move her tail

But if she could think about it, she could

I mean that's how we move our regular limbs, somewhat, but those are built in (and not prone to error unless you have a motor control disfunction)

Basically, just, having stuff directly interface with you (Think Google Glass but without glasses)

This is definitely an area that I have no knowledge in, but the uses for such would be cool

Doesn't it still have replay value?

On topic, I really have no clue. I know I said what I said in the other topic about "are you racist", but that's not truly racism. I don't just go around calling/thinking "so and so is a this or that", and if someone does, well, that's kind of off putting. When I was younger, it was kind of a joke. Having a black friend who was older and "more intelligent", I was always "jackass" or "dumbass" so I could always resort to... hehehe

the easiest insult I could think of back

it wasn't actually serious, it was more like a thing that was either funny for shock value or to keep his ego in check

but anyway

It really depends, the funny part is, I didn't even know my grandpa was black for half my life

I just know that some people aren't always completely comfortable around other people 24/7, but some people choose to stay in/perpetuate that bubble, and it's not always an attractive bubble

Depends how big the bubble is, I guess.

I wonder if I'm the only one that remembers this cereal here.

I remember really liking it.
Wow. I've never seen or heard of that

But that sounds pretty annoying, it's almost like when you go to pour a bowl of Raisin Bran and you only have all bran at the top and have to sift the contents for an equal amount of bran to raisin, except with this cereal, nobody knows
