I get the stance that its an ethical overreach. But I also dont think thats going stop the consistently growing dna databases used by law enforcement all over the world and how they are collecting those samples. Just kind of the world we live in now. And I dont think most people are going to throw a big stink over it if it means connecting people to unresolved crimes, especially violent ones.

I mean..I get notion of not wanting to discourage rape victims from coming forward but law enforcement isnt just going to over look it if your dna pings in connection with a separate crime.

yea, a lot of the wars, conflicts, genocides, human rights violations, etc. in developing countries throughout the decades following WW2 have had the US, USSR, or their allies being responsible in some capacity

I'm not saying this is totally inaccurate, but obviously it's been on a much smaller scale than the world wars. And I don't think it's inaccurate to guesstimate that major super powers have avoided direct warfare with each other for the last 80 years largely due to nuclear capabilities.

It's not just one thing. But increased government deficit spending is definitely a huge factor. It was always anticipated to be paid for through inflation instead of increased tax revenues by everyone who had a clue what they were talking about.

As for interest rate correlation to inflation. lower interests rates means it's cheaper to borrow capital. Cheaper rates on borrowed capital means the economy can expand more rapidly. The trade off of rapid economic expansion can also be (somewhat) equal rate of inflation. Increasing interest rates means the inverse. Increased cost to borrowing capital will slow economic expansion. Slowed economic expansion can also mitigate inflation.
