Stewart has done his own bit of sharing covid conspiracies and misinformation, so it makes sense that he would defend Rogan.

It's scary how so many people seem to think that not agreeing with a take means you want that person cancelled/jailed etc.

For all the talk they do about "free speech" they don't like it when people disagree with them.

On another note, Stewart is just reiterating his shtick that you can't criticize a comedian. In the past, he has hidden his bad takes behind the wall of "I'm just making a joke of this," and "I'm not a media personality." He, like other comedians, don't realize that a routine in a club delivered to 200 people is far different than a discussion on a podcast/television show that reaches millions.

If you're taking health advice from a comedian you can only blame yourself. Joe Rogan is there to entertain not inform.

He didnt even really defend Joe Rogan. He just said engagement is more effective and less damaging than censorship.

Of course all of the usual mouth breathers will not read or listen to anything past the headlines in their twitter feed as usual before acting like they have any useful addition to the dialog.
