Also looking forward to Suicide Squad, The Green Knight & Candyman.

Although my top pick right now would have to be Terrifier 2. Terrifier is one of the best slashers of all time and Art the Clown is simply creepy as all hell, his performance is so dynamic and intense.

Old because it remains of peak twist Shyamalan.

Venom: Let There Be Carnage because I'm excited to finally see one of my all-time favorite characters in a live-action film. And the first was a bit of a guilty like for me. I love symbiotes in Marvel so it's hard for me to outright dislike it.

Halloween Kills since the previous Halloween was surprisingly great and brought the series back to its roots in a really enjoyable way, Jamie Lee Curtis was really on her a-game.

Don't Breathe 2 is a must even if it kind of just looks like the same movie again.

Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City because it sounds promising but I'm not holding my breath.

And this is probably way off for now but Something in the Dirt, the next Benson/Moorhead movie!

Couple Resident Evil port notes:

• Not a port, but there is little reason to play Resident Evil Code Veronica on Dreamcast, as Code Veronica X on PS2 is the same game with added cutscenes. However, the Dreamcast version lacks the lighting problems seen in later versions.
• Resident Evil 3 has the most alternate costumes of the console ports and is tied with PC (PC has a different alt. costume). The pre-renders don't look great on DC though.
• RE2 adds little besides VMU support and again pre-renders are pretty bad.

I just finished it myself. I think overall I err on the dislike side of things. The series was way too rushed to be enjoyable. There's no sense of pacing or presence, characters, especially Leon, consistently rush into decisions where it would be smarter to hold back a little, the scene right after the sub attack a perfect example. And characters are just constantly showing up to where they're supposed to be with little to no transition. I concur that Claire was extremely underutilized in this series sadly, a rather generic damsel. The series critically lacked any sort of horror or tension besides the enjoyable war flashback scenes. That being said both Stephanie Panisello & Nick Apostolides provided excellent voice work as Claire & Leon respectively here, they have both really grown into the roles and act according to their age and experience.

I think there is potential here for a great RE animated series, and the show seems to be doing well viewership wise. I hope a 2nd season could give it some leg room and to patch up critical areas in the storytelling department.

As a hook, there are worse premises than "finding your Dad in the apocalyptic wasteland". The problem is, there isn't a whole lot of drive to the story forward, at least early on. However, in its place is a textural richness of post-apocalyptic society, sprung up amd surrounded by the ruins of the centerpiece of democracy. The stories it tells in microcosms of twisted and maligned civilizations, who are making the most of the worst hand known to man, are uncannily strange, depressingly real, and exciting to live and breath in (as long as there's not too much radiation). From the depths of its ever horrifying social experiments (i.e. Vaults), to its natural sense of discovery & wonder as every bombed out building has its own story to tell, to its whimsy and creativity like a town made up of only children, or the return of Harold, Fallout 3 constantly throws bits, scraps, and story arcs that it leaves up to you to want to finish and resolve. The ending (MUCH improved thanks to the Broken Steel DLC), similarly is left up to you, representing both the high hopes and dark depths of humanity's ultimate fate. It can all feel disjointed at times, and I do stress again the main plot lacks much driving tension, but I think it's a world and story that feels just real enough to draw you in to its what-if scenarios and just fantastical enough to provide the need to want to push more into the depressive Capital Wasteland.

Plums topic shows it wouldn't really stop there though. Even Plum has had to ignore and dismiss choices because of how silly or absurd they are. If you let the initial choices be like that it will just spiral into pure absurdism.

Fantastic use of characters, extremely tense sci-fi storytelling with high stakes, dark atmosphere, and horrific outcomes, and a driving sense of pace that make each mission an absolute pulse-pounder as new developments are revealed constantly. Much improved dialogue selections, voice work, and direction. It only isn't 10 because it doesn't really have much of a conclusion on its own.

True, though I think I'm also of the opinion that Walt is great from the get-go, and only improves as the show goes on, whereas Tony was mostly fine in the beginning, and becomes great by the time Endgame hits. Not necessarily the reason I think I prefer Walt of the two, but it doesn't hurt.

I think RDJ pretty much nailed Tony from the beginning personally; while there were certainly good to great superhero portrayals before Iron Man, I think it was a whole new level at the time, where you just couldn't separate the actor and character without ruining everything else in the film. Although I will say the identity of "Iron Man" was definitely utilized better as the MCU went along.
