Eh, Wolfenstein: New Order barely references any elements from Wolfenstein '09 or prior, and has little to do with the supernatural or occult themes of the previous games either. Old Blood was meant to be the summation of the earlier games condensed into a digestible prequel for the New Order.

The game's are very story/character heavy so it's important to play them in release order starting from The New Order. The best IMO is Wolfenstein II but all of the game's are more or less consistent with each other.

If it helps at all, it goes New Order > Old Blood > New Colossus > Youngblood.

Now this is how you do a parody! This song really plays up the duo's typical Canadian stereotypical behavior and their banter + sloppy, truncated delivery in nearly every line makes this parody of the 12 Days of Christmas one of the funniest ever. You can't beat and "...and a beer." It gets me every time. I also like how this doesn't even appear on a Christmas album, just randomly in the middle of the duo's comedy album, The Great White North.

One of the best scenes in the film. It's 100% in the spirit of Christmas, a gift-wrapped middle finger from Santa McClane to Hans Gruber and his not-so-merry band of terrorists. Gruber's dead pan delivery of Ho-Ho-Ho just puts that extra dash of Christmas cheer on top of it.

When you break things down, the concept of Santa is pretty weird. Here's this guy who goes all over the world in like the span of 6 hours at best, breaks into your house, eats your food, and takes the credit away from your hard-working parents who actually got all the gifts for you. It's easy to see why so many horror movies are made about killer Santas now. Santa can be a pretty big dick too, especially in the Rankin-Bass specials. You would think Santa, the paragon of joy and giving, would be the last to bully Rudolph but nope, he's right there in the fray with everyone else. On the flipside though, the idea of Santa can be very inspiring, pushing young kids to be better and to think of others first, especially those who may be less fortunate than you. Now, I don't think that's such a foolish notion.

Parody albums are a tricky thing to nail, and Christmas parody albums are even harder to pull off. Christmas being such an easy target means you got to try extra hard to make things original and most importantly, funny. Much like the show, this album goes for gross-out humor which just isn't my bag, focusing on one-line jokes dragged out to full length songs that don't hold my interest for long. Somehow, the original songs featured here actually fare much better. "What Is Christmas?" is a genuinely stand-out, touching moment on the album, and "Happy Holiday Hop" could brush shoulders with some of the best Holiday rockers out there.

The Star Wars Holiday Special

An ultimately way too boring slog that feels like it takes forever to finish, but it's also a train wreck you just can't look away from, especially with some of the weirder aspects like the hologram circus act, cooking show, or the Diahann Carroll seductive song. Honestly the animated segment is decent enough on its own too. I just love that something like this exists, is the first Star Wars sequel, and that it's canon.

Scare's comic issue pitch is unfortunately too much of a detriment to ignore.

I'll admit I was ready to hate MMX's new pitch after having a decently strong one in the prior rounds, but god damn Mephisto got me. I still preferred the focus on Madrox in the prior rounds, but he still seems pretty prominent here at least. RetroaXtive still has a Beast problem.

Eddv didn't even need the other paragraph to win this round. Brevity can be great, but I'd still like to found out more behind Mega's ideas.

I've definitely softened on it over the years. A large part of why I hated it so much initially was honesty the camera more than anything. So dizzying and disorienting. When I bought it again on Xbox One it still took some getting used to but it did feel a lot better. It's not a good RE title, but it's an extremely solid action game and I've always said that its Mercs mode really shines, since there's no pretense of horror or plot to get in the way. It's a god damn thrill to dash and slide and dodge everywhere, or just tear through with Jake's melee moves. And the quick shot, why isn't this feature in more games?

Personally, my favorite campaign was Jake. How can any RE fan deny the awesomeness of the son and daughter of Wesker/Birkin teaming up together? Or getting hunted down by Nu-Nemesis? Jake and Sherry's bond by the end really got to me and I just thought the whole thing was so well done. Chris and Piers really had a solid through line too, though maybe messier on the game play side of things.

This is one of the closet fights in the entire draft, I could see this going either way but I think the ultimate team synergy of CPU's team works out way better in his favor. The one-two punch of Nightcrawler/Nocturne alone could take advantage of some of the dysfunction with Sabretooth perhaps not cooperating as much as he should.

This could be the mosty dysfunctional team in existence but there's just too much power to deny it going any other way.

banananor vs. Wicklebee
With Valerie on the battlefield, her team might be distracted with trying to keep her safe and protected, but I don't think banananor's team has the experience to pull of a win still. The raw talent and increased synergy of eXcalibur would secure this win.

I definitely agree the X-Angels name needs to be changed now, but I like this much better! The obviously still solid cast and a good hook would make this a compelling read but I still think MLA has a more fleshed-out feeling to it.

Object Impermutants is just too intriguing to vote against here, Rocket X needs a significant overhaul at least in regards to what the other members are bringing to the table story wise.

ChichiriMuyo vs. MartinFF7
"Forced to work together to survive" & " their strong teamwork skills" feels like a contradiction. I still don't completely buy the concept of these characters working together but I think Chichiri needs a better roster for me to care about it more, so Martin still gets the win.

I like banananor's general concept and roster but Wickle's just really knocks it out of the park with what I'm generally interested in with comics. Especially the simpler focus and clearer objective.

I for one was very satisfied this decade as a rock/metal fan!

I think a lot of the problem with rock's general popularity is the gatekeeping and exclusion that goes on. I think there's been an attempt for experimentation, genre-melding, and pushing rock to new limits, like with Twenty One Pilots, Ghost, or Bring Me the Horizon, but I often see many people all to eager to disqualify these acts from being true "rock" for daring to go in even a little bit of a hip hop or pop direction. The recent Highly Suspect album is another example.

Still, there's been a lot of popular hip hop artists incorporating rock into their music, since we're kind of getting the first wave of people who grew up in the late 90s/early 00s and got big now, who were listening to grunge, alt. rock, pop punk and nu metal while they were growing up. Lil Peep, XXXTentacion, Juice Wrld, Trippie Redd, Post Malone.
