This was in the upper echelon of DQ games for me. 5 and 7 are definitely my favorites. Then maybe 8 and 11.

It's been pretty good so far, though I don't know if I'd elevate it above DQ8 so far.

I like how the dude never revisited the mermaid because his boat was burned. Why not, like, build another boat? You built a huge-ass cabin, so you've definitely got mad carpentry skillz. You sat there for years doing nothing but painting, lmao. This Lonalulu arc is definitely the worst one so far, although I have to respect its commitment to a body count.

Just learned that Square brings up the regional map. That would've been useful in the 12 story arcs before this, haha. (They should've made the touchpad do something, though.) Anyway, I don't think I'm supposed to do Sniflheim crap yet, so I'm gonna go to Lonalulu.

Hopefully I get some spell/key/macguffin that opens those red doors soon. You'd think the master thief I got in the first hour would be able to pick locks by default, but noooooo.

It's been pretty good so far, albeit a little trope-y. That's part of the DW charm, though, so it's not a big deal.

Just ran through the Hekswood, even though I had no reason to and can't do anything in this obvious boss clearing. Oh well...at least that angel statue heals you in addition to the normal options, so this is a good grinding spot.

Only had it a few days, but I'm already up to Sniflheim (first place I encountered after getting ocean access). Definitely wouldn't have bought that expensive wheat scythe if I'd known it was a greatsword...my dude's been using one-handers the whole time. =|

Currently using MC/Veronica/Jade/Serena. The party still lacks some oomph, though. Going MC/Jade/Sylvando/Erik may be more fun in the long run.

Made plenty of settlements, but eventually just started making forts -- no need for high charisma or any other nonsense. Once turned that garbage dump called Tenpines Bluff into a single Saruman tower with friendly yao guai guarding it, haha. There was no way to get up, so I had to make the fast travel point right on top.

It would've been nice if most of the buildable objects weren't weathered trash. It gets boring building concrete bunkers all the time, haha.

Most of the DLC is village-building stuff, or situations that requires a certain level to start/be competent at it (I think the robot one is LV20, Nuka-World has Lv30+ enemies?). It's easy to see why that knowledge would put users off, especially since one of the main draws of Nuka-World (bandit camps) requires going 75% of the way through its campaign, lol. I guess you can scrounge up a Fat Man or power armor to cheese some of those harder battles.

My favorite thing about Far Harbor is being able to start it at LV1, though.

I haven't played Shenmue, is it good?

It's a Dreamcast series, so certain aspects haven't aged amazingly (tank controls, for instance), but it's still a good romp. You can actually get the first two games in a remastered set on consoles/Steam. Try watching a video of the first part and see it if tickles your fancy -- it's basically a fun kung-fu revenge movie you get to act out.
