Im a Union Stewart. It pisses me off and I feel really bad having to defend lazy workers and trouble makers.

I remember the time this worker was caught sleeping on the job and drinking alcohol. The supervisor caught him and requested that I be present as a witness.

I had to defend that worker to the death (I won btw) and instead of having him fired, I helped him get transferred a different shift.

Do I feel bad? Yes

Do I regret it? Yes

But its my job as a Stewart, and it sucks ass.

I've been a steward on many job sites. Most of my issues I deal with are enforcing the terms of our negotiated contracts. Companies can and will try to trim whatever they can get away with. I've never had to try and fight for a worker who was grossly negligent or incompetent. That shit doesn't fly where I work. But I completely understand the frustrations of trying to save a guys job when they don't deserve it.

GamerGate was a harassment campaign started by Zoe Quinn's ex-boyfriend, who lied about her sleeping with a game reviewer to get a positive review (a review, by the way, which doesn't even exist). it's part of how she gained prominence online in the first place.

Not that this is likely to change your mind on this but Eron never mentioned reviews or positive coverage. She certainly did get positive coverage by someone who also happened to be included in the credits of her game which was figured out by people after Eron posted his article about Zoe.

it skipped my dedicated gfx card and just ran the integrated graphics...

It did the same for me too. That's when I realized I didn't have Nvidia Control Panel installed. Use that program to force which GPU is used for most tasks.

Gone Home wasn't even the best walking simulator in the year it was released. It just happened to be the only one with a LGBT character which meant the gaming press loved it. It's not a bad game but it shouldn't have been priced at $20, nor did it deserve 10/10 reviews from reviewers who were longtime friends with some of the people who worked on the game. The pricing of the game combined with the short playtime was one of the major reasons for Steam to start giving a refund after 2 hours or less were played, so I guess you could say the game was influential in that regard.

The militant and aggressive stances only cause people to react defensively, further entrenching them in the opposite beliefs, even if they were on the same side originally. I can't remember the name for that psychological phenomenon but I believe it is relevant to this discussion. Extremism breeds division.

Always end a turn in cover, only push forward at the beginning of your turn so as to not trigger an enemy group right as your turn ends. Also, destroying enemies cover is a great tactic.

Her father wasn't insane because he was a Targaryan, he was insane because he was insane. Rhaegar was also his son and is considered one of the noblest people in the story.

The Targaryen lineage is famous for having crazies in it. Varys alluded to that when he made that coin flip comment. The books do a great job of detailing that, whereas the show rushes to that point without explaining why, and deserves to be criticised for that.

It was for her father, which brings the tragedy back to its origins. If her father wasn't mad, a lot of shit would have been averted. If she hadn't gone mad, a lot of people wouldn't have died by dragonfire. If you think GOT was about having a happy ending, you haven't been paying attention.

Burning the Tarlys. Always having to be talked out of burning cities. Being a Targaryen, a bloodline famous for snapping, which led to multiple books/seasons asking the question of whether she is like her father or not.

There was lots to foreshadow it, it probably just felt so quick because of how they are rushing this season.
