The gameplay loop is a lot more like Assassin's Creed than I expected. I'd have definitely liked to see a little more Skyrim influence insofar as joining various factions/guilds with meaty side-stories.

Gameplay is great, I don't know how I'm pulling off charging in everywhere with nothing but a Katana and a few quickhacks. But by the time I'm done, heads are just all over the place. Very satisfying.

I do hope they do something about character customization eventually though. The way the loot system works, you're pretty much resigned to equipping whatever happens to drop as far as gear goes and very quickly look like a jester. For the most part you only see this on the inventory screen so it isn't too bad, mostly jarring, but if there are any 3rd person moments in the story, it's gonna be a real immersion breaker.

The good thing about Cyberpunk as a genre is that when it comes to fashion pretty much anything goes, but yeah I do tend to agree. I don't care for the loot system.

Yeah, the PC version seems fine. I've had a few minor bugs, but quite frankly I've had worse recently with Skyrim or Fallout 4. The only bad one I've had in about 10 hours of play was an NPC bugged and followed me around the city, but he would actually help me in fights. At least until he got killed. RIP.

In most cases it's protestors in the street but not specifically there to block traffic IE no human chains across the road or shit like that. It's also only about 50% of the time maliciously intended, or at least that what's the number of drivers charged would imply. As people have acknowledged here, sometimes people panic and it's not intentional. If someone yells racial slurs though and then plows into a crowd of people, that's pretty clearly intentional.

There have been several cases where people have not only plowed through crowds, but then turned around tried to come back through a second time. In some right wing places that I lurk videos of protestors being hit have been turned into gifs, memes, all sorts of fucked up shit. At one point there was a hashtag on twitter they started #alllivessplatter.

There is an NPC called Dum Dum early on in the game. If the dude he works for gets killed there is a bug that makes him follow you around the city everywhere you go. Even on story missions. It's actually kind of helpful because he'll shoot at bad guys for you if you get into a fight.

Clearly fear of legal repercussions hasn't stopped people from trying to plow their cars into groups of protestors. Time to try something else. I've done car watch in protests here in Saint Louis. Both during George Floyd and Michael Brown protests. So here is the thing, most of them, are otherwise completely normal people. They have families, they are good husbands or wives, fathers and mothers. They work for a living just like anyone else. They have hopes, dreams, long term goals. But they also would not think twice about getting a gun and following, possibly shooting, a strange black man jogging through their neighborhood. These are the same type of people who murdered Ahmaud Arbery. The same kind of people who defend his killing. Missouri is a fucked up state that still has Sundown Towns in it.

I work in rural Missouri doing blue collar manufacturing. I've had conversations with men and women when shit was going down in Saint Louis that they hoped they would try and protest in their area so they could shoot them or hit them with their cars. You need to realize that a good portion of this country wants any excuse to justify the murder of people who sre different than them.
