Which is what happens when you do the whole "well people are entitled to their opinion" schtick. It's not an opinion as to which people are human beings worthy of rights. My second post linking the article was in response to what I viewed as your assertion that marital rape isn't a problem in India. Seeing as how 1 out of 3 women have experienced sexual or physical violence, it clearly is a problem. That being said that also means that 2 out of 3 women haven't experienced it, so it's clearly not a problem with all men, or even a majority of them. Hence my initial post, shitting on morons who are dumb enough to go on a hunger strike because they don't want their wives to be able to say no.

It's shit like this that reminds me we haven't improved much since the industrial revolution with regards to labor rights and laws. And in some ways have fallen backwards.

While we know and are well aware of the exploitation of that time period, keep in mind much of it back then also went unreported. We're just 100+ years removed from it. But there's still alot of exploitation and lack of regulation going on today that the public doesn't see. Because they don't want you to see it.

They've also made it so we're so heavily reliant on our employment that while it is true we have a right to protest and demand better, but you risk a day or more of work. Could even be fired and lose out on your insurance. Who'd risk it? And look at how the railworker strike went a few months ago? Any more pressure from the workers and I guarantee you it would have gotten violent like it did 100 years ago.

When Trump got elected and took office he killed a series of EPA regulations that were supposed to take effect that my company had been building towards for years and would have left us in almost complete control of the market. Our competition had decided not to comply, fight in court for years, and had lost and were way behind us. Then Trump killed said regulations and we laid off 25% of our work force because of it.

Yes, you can buy a generic set that comes with a few non-descript characters in it and make whatever you want, but these particular sets are to represent specific characters, no different than buying a set where the end result is you make a TIE Fighter or a pirate ship.

One of the better things about the show is that they made if blunt that Joel was a very bad person. There's no way you cannot understand it. In the game they didn't make it as obvious that Joel did fucked up shit so lots of people still thought Joel was some kinda hero.

Eh, the game makes it pretty explicit as well. Particularly the ambush scene where Ellie asks him how he knew that was going to happen and he says something to the effect of "I've been on both sides of that ambush". Then in the conversation with Tommy. It doesn't have to be said outright and in your face to get the point across.
