In case anyone was unaware, Adverse Possession is a real thing. If you live in an abandoned property for a determinant amount of time, then you now have title to the property (there are other elements to that of course but thats the gist of it).

This exists to stop landlords from leaving property abandoned and in disrepair which would hurt property values. If the property is truly abandoned, then the squatter can take ownership over it after a period of time set out by the state government.

That being said, the average is 10 years of continuous use. 30 days is nonsensical and a ridiculous NYC law.

I have known people who do drives and they build up a clientele and then just drive privately for the people they know with no Lyft or Uber as the middleman. Only on days where they have no one to drive do they go back to the app. That would be the best bet for making money anyway.
