it's absolutely funnier if he's randomized because you gotta beat bosses cause they're checks, so you're just gonna randomly find him like "oh welp, mirror out"

y'know I tried using snes9x-rr for AP and I couldn't get the lua connector to work. Never had issues using lua for emotracker though

So, you can do all of BOB stars with just the cannon, but "Mario Wings to the Sky" (the coin ring secrets) is a pain in the ass because you've got to shoot up to the island minimum three times. You can get all of the stars except "Mario Wings to the Sky" with just the cap.

IIRC there are either 96 or 98 coins reachable with neither cap nor cannon (That is, not on the island or in the coin rings). So you can just get those, then use a side flip to get a couple of coins off the first ring, and that's 100.

oh is that the case? Well, if nobody sends my key or cap along, maybe I'll go grab the 100 coins at least

it's funny to watch all my SM64 stars come in but I'm still waiting for a key to actually play any new stages

or a wing cap to get two more BOB checks I guess

(it's technically possible to get one with just the cannon, isn't it? Sounds miserable. And getting 100 coins with just the cannon sounds like a nightmare)

i'm always surprised by how little official merch there is. Animate had HoloX and Holostars only. Well, you can buy BDs of the lives and Calli and Suisei's CDs too I guess

i'll give it another shot tonight though. My computer and internet was really chugging and needed a restart/update I think.

I just learned about this and we gave it a shot tonight. There were 5 of us doing different games. Most people were having no issue sending and receiving items, but while my LttP game could send items, I never received anything? No idea why. I was connected via lua sni.

if we can really get it working, it's super fun though! Anybody seen this issue?

Most dungeons are literal straight hallways - most of the wackiness of the ARR dungeons was removed in the most recent revisions. It's damn near impossible to get lost in a dungeon nowadays.

it's usually the tanks that are responsible for the random mechanics, like finding the keys, or putting the explosives on the cart and pushing it, or whatever it is

unless you're saying all THAT was removed? I guess I haven't played in a few months...

Most people are more lenient if you tell them its your first time tanking for a dungeon.

If you want practice and you have a low-level tank, just roll the leveling roulette with it. Anyone can tank Sastasha.

I was Scholar for MSQ through Heavensward, and dabbled in Ninja and Blue Mage for fun with friends

I think when I resub I might start White Mage to get the rust off...

Maybe if I raise a couple more jobs from 1 I'll end up doing the low level dungeons enough that I remember them...
