I went through and beat all the normal stages and some number of the extra ones and felt like I got my moneys worth. I think the most frustrating parts were definitely the physics of the fans, and the boss fights. also I had no idea all those other characters were from other games at the time. Just how out of the loop was I back then? Wow portal still holds up huh? Im surprised it doesnt give you motion sickness. Its just on the border of doing it to me (and like you, I cant do Metroid prime). I think some of the most clever portal puzzles have come in games paying homage to portal itself... and Yes Im thinking of what the golf as I say this. The kind where the mechanic of the game itself is built upon and tweaked over time to frustrate you and then make you feel like a genius. Several of my top games recently are firmly in that pool so thanks braid. My thoughts on the game itself are the same as yours though I cant help but have a slightly negative opinion of it because Im not a fan of Blow, and hes very tied up in the game. | RoseChevalier 03/11/19 7:52:11 AM #198 | oh hi, signing in for the first time this year with 4 games so far Game by a developer I'd never tried: Kingsway This was fun. I put a few days into it and got several endings, didn't go for 100% cause it started to feel tedious. I liked the retro feel, but there were really only so many viable "builds" to go for. Platformer: Celeste obviously this is in the "games of all time" category but yeah. Got 100% in this game. It's amazing. Puzzle: CrossCode I enjoyed the hell out of this and I'm not entirely sure how to categorize it. Puzzle RPG Platformer? The story was pretty sweet, if sometimes predictable, and some of the puzzles were waaaaay hard. But it always felt good to progress. Still waiting for that post-game DLC! Romance genre: Highway Blossoms Very lovely little game. I didn't actually expect voice acting when I started, and I certainly didn't expect good voice acting. I like the fun mode you unlock afterward, and going for 100% achievements meant getting the absolutely hilarious Desert RV achievement.
