Yeah, true enough. I would personally love to have a setup like darkknight, except maybe not 20 consoles. I would not consider the Gamecube retro, but N64 is where the line gets hazy imo. No need to complicate the matter. Taxes shouldn't be going to the treatments and drugs. That's like a personal expense. We shouldn't be paying for Viagra or birth control ether.

If you're injured in service, then yeah. I'm fine with that. Government put you in that situation. Same thing with agent orange mutations in Vietnam. That stuff is still causing birth defects over there.

I respect your right to your point of view, but subsidized drugs of all those sorts work well enough here in Canada. I'd rather be funding a medical system that cares for transgender folks so we can keep trying to combat suicide rates. Birth control, I'm for. I don't know if I can convince you otherwise, but I think the pills are cheaper monthly than a living baby. But we can discuss it if you want, just my POV.

Viagra, I worked in pharmacies for years and only saw it covered for Veterans (Canada seems to treat vets a BIT better XD), and that was one 90 year old. There was also one exception dude who took it for his lungs and had to have a bunch of paperwork processed to get it covered.

It's dope that you're pro covering stuff being covered in the line of service.

I think people will know that I'm pro trans people being allowed in the military. I think their meds should be covered within that structure too. Most basic-ass meds are cheap as hell to produce, just look at stuff like insulin. It's only jackass companies charging high for it.

Here's a funny story. My mom was upset that I had watched Shawn of the Dead at a friend's house when I was 15. I asked her why, and she said that they said the "C-word". I had literally never heard the classic 'C-word'. She kept telling me "you know!!!", and I finally whispered..."*insert slur for asian people here*". Now, I know that's offensive, but it is also funny.

I think its pretty sad that so many people dont go to college nowadays simply to avoid the crushing debt associated with it

I am 29, and did 2 separate years of college in my earlier 20s. I was terrified of student debt. Now I've finally grown comfortable with it and am in a Networking and Telecommunications Engineering program. I just know that I can work as I have for the last 15 years, and make the money back. Plus it'll be easier since I'll actually be able to crack $20/h, if not $30/h.

I'm interested in how the millennial generation will handle college for their kids. They won't view it like their parents did. I know several people in this age range that see college as a huge scam. Even my friend whom is doing well thinks the current system is predatory, evil and should be abolished. Myself, I'd have reservations about recommending it unless a person studies a degree for a lucrative field.

I think it's a bit of a scam that still gets you a piece of paper that often gets you better jobs.

I'm the same, never got into Maldoror. Like, I like extreme and experimental (Irony is a Dead Scene is definitely that), but just pure free-jazz noise can wear on me a bit.

Deciding to use the slur against an individual or group is the same irrespective of race. The claim that a racial slur isn't racist just because the person is of that race is just so profoundly fucking ignorant that one hardly knows where to begin criticizing the stupidity of that claim. The underlying assumption is that somebody can't be racist against their own race, which is just flat-out wrong and -- since you love bringing up "historical contexts" -- there are PLENTY of historical contexts backing up the idea of people being racist against their own race. Seriously, fucking educate yourself. Even today there are widespread issues where people are racist against their race, including discrimination among blacks based whose skin is lighter or darker.

Yes, I know about those things too, you don't have to call me 'so profoundly fucking ignorant'. This conversation isn't really worth having if you're going to be on this level of insultingly rude. I am aware of people being racist against their own race. Just please tone it down if you actually want to talk about this, please.

I worked for an optometry office where the owner liked pricey clothes...he took the guys of the office out and bought us clothes. I had $1000 of clothes paid for, and it was literally just a pair of shoes, two pairs of pants, a shirt, and a sweater. I mean, it was kind of cool, but that level of $$$ for clothes is kinda gross to me lol.
