none, all i play right now are single player story games. last time i actually grinded was diablo 3, doing alkhaizer runs lol

I was considering grinding Mario Party points in Mario Party 9 but I'm thinking how much waste of time that would be and I'd much rather play something else instead.

I started playing Mario Party 10 and that game makes 9 seem like a decent game.

I mean, 9 wasn't that particularly good to begin with but somehow 10 was even worse.

Recently I've been collecting the rest of the Mario Party games.

The only games left are Mario Party 1, 2 and The Top 100.
Right now I only have the digital version of 2 and Top 100 out of these three.

1 kinda seems like a waste because it's notorious for destroying N64 control sticks and the fact that 2 is pretty much an upgraded version of 1.

When I have the whole collection, I'm gonna send a picture of it to my friend who hates the Mario Party games(even though he always agrees on playing them with me).

I just finished playing Adventures of Mana for the second time. It's the remake of Final Fantasy Adventure, which I played a LOT on the Game Boy. Last time I played I was going for achievements and kept grinding until I got to level 99. This time I only kept going until I maxed out my STR. The final boss was incredibly easy and his final form I finished off with just 3 charged attacks while taking no damage.

I started playing Grim Dawn a couple days ago, having played it a couple years prior and drifted away. I've since been gifted one of the DLC's, and I bought the remaining two over Christmas, so I'm diving back in with all the content. I wouldn't say I'm at the mindless grinding part yet, since I'm still working my way through the story on Normal and haven't gotten to any real farming, but I'll get there.

Playing the Class Missions to get the 'Legendary' Title...

No grindies right now. I finished with Dragon Quest XI (end of 3rd arc) and Disgaea 1 Complete (just enough endings to fill the music shop) recently, and I've finally fully tired of Animal Crossing NH. I've been replaying StarCraft II LotV recently, about to start the 3rd arc, and I'm in the middle of a playthrough of Atelier Totori.

That's about it.

Dragon Quest Tact

On the side of the computer, I've been melee training on my Old School RuneScape main and ironmen accounts on Giant Spiders in the Stronghold of Security for a long time. Very chill and easy way to get to 99 Attack, Strength, and Defence in free-to-play without having to do much except to heal and get more food for healing (fishing for salmon in Barbarian Village).

I'm currently playing through FF I (NES) with my kids. They love it.

I'm mainly playing Minecraft right now. Which can feel kind of grindy because I'm playing in Survival so I have to take time to mine out whatever resources I need rather than just spawning everything in and building a massive cathedral or something.

How bad is the grind for regular play without a subscription, if all the player wants to do is run through the various class stories without really engaging in MMO endgame content? (ie, treating the game more like a solo RPG than an MMORPG)

Also, do you know how many characters someone can have at once without a sub?

Well as for 1st time F2P (Free to Play) players, your level cap is 60, and I think you can complete Class Missions as a F2P person...(just slower to level, limit on what gear you can use/buy, Credit Caps, etc)

Also, do you know how many characters someone can have at once without a sub?

the f2p business models of MMOs like that annoy the hell out of me. If youre a free player they bombard you at every turn with reminders that the game is filled with all sorts of inconveniences and restrictions that will be removed if you just subscribe for $15-$20 a month

nothing against anyone that enjoys those games but it just makes me want to uninstall them when I run into that stuff. Dont try to sell your game to me by making it less fun.

This is literally the entire FtP model, honestly.

The real problem is when publishers figure out that they can slip that shit into premium games that cost $60+, then make the entire game experience worst solely to extort you into paying.
