I never had problems making aquantainces even though I don't start conversations or mix with people. People (women especially) just think I'm weird/cold/mysterious and they approach me. It's been like that especially since I became an adult. Once, I went to watch some people play a TTRPG. They let me have an extra character. After that, I played with them every week. They also have apps which allow you to find friends with similar interests, as well. Most have been through work but besides that One sat next to me at a bar and asked how the fries I had were and I was like share them with me! And we really just hit it off, had many things in common, exchanged numbers and saw each other from there. Still friends years later, love her. Another close friend I met online in an eating disorder support group. Now we live in the same area and we would hang out a lot before covid. Miss going over there. We would have a lot of sleepovers and be able to stay up all night chatting. I almost made another friend at the gym. We saw each other a few times and exchanged numbers and went to new gym classes together but that fell through. She had a very busy schedule being a doctor. I have acquaintances but that's all.
